Newly changed their name to Tang Gong. Same as the previous location that shut down in Monterey park. Good dimsum options, currently no tea fee. They have dimsum and hot pot options for lunch!

This review for dinner meal. Not the hot pot nor dim sum. I ordered 3 combinations plate which includes ( pork is very dry, roasted duck is good, jelly fish is the 3rd item?) amount is small like appetizer size. Second is Cumin lamb, very dry and salty. Buddha feast veggie plate is okay but has room for improvement. Seafood chowmein is very bland. No i won't dine in for dinner meal. Maybe i will try hot pot & dim sum later. Staff are attentive and polite. Decor is great. I believe I am paying for that .

Been here several times for dim sum. Haven't tried the hot pot yet. For dim sum there is a good selection and the food comes out steaming hot. It's a good solid dim sum spot. The restaurant appears to be pretty new and decorated in lots of red. Service is like normal dim sum spot. Nothing to complain about.

This restaurant is Spacious and clean. Service is also spectacular. We feel welcome every time we eat there whether it is for hot pot dinner or dim sum lunch. The $29 hot pot all you can eat menu includes angus beef, lamb, pork, seafood platter, veggies platter, shrimp paste, meat paste, cuttlefish paste, tofu, enoki mushrooms. Also including individual soup base, drinks, dessert bar, snack bar and sauce bar. All freshly prepared and of good value. I tried their fish maw chicken broth as soup base. Parking is in private parking lot and garage parking.

Came here for dim sum last Saturday and was please to find out their dim sum offerings are quite good. Best of the dishes we had were the Chinese Broccoli (very tender) and Beef Cheung Fun (Minced Beef Stuffed Rice Noodle Crepes) which had really thin rice noodle crepes and ample filling. Very satisfying. A negative is the they don't offer any of the roasted or BBQ items like Roast Duck or Roast Pork. Service was attentive. Their dim sum menu is written in Simplified Chinese only. I posted my translations of that menu in English. .

Came back again for the $29 AYCE hot pot and was equally impressed as last week. The shrimp and cuttlefish paste continues to stand out as well as all the veggie options. Service was especially good this time and we had brought a birthday cake from outside and they accommodated it in the refrigerator and served it to us at the end of the meal.A good time was had by all. This place is great for large parties!

Very good bang for your buck if you get the cheapest option here which is AYCE hotpot for $29. This comes with the Anbus beef, beef slices, lamb and fine black pork which is all you really need to be satisfied. The quality of all the meat is pretty good. They also give you plenty of veggies and seafood which comes with the meal. They have a wide variety of sauces that you help yourself to. The service is quick since they have a good amount of servers. There is no wait since the restaurant is so huge that the spaces never fill up.The interior is nice too, very fancy ancient chinese. I hear they will start to do dim-sum in the next month as well.

Dou Lao Fang Restaurant - Update Review (October 2, 2024)This is my third update on Dou Lao Fang, and I visited today for their recently reintroduced dim sum. I have to say, the dim sum is back and better than ever! We tried the shrimp egg roll and BBQ pork puff pastry, and both were simply amazing. You can tell these dishes are the work of a master dim sum chef.During our visit, we bumped into the new owners, Jason and Ellen, who were incredibly friendly. They informed us that the restaurant will soon be changing its name to Tang Gong Seafood, a famous Cantonese seafood restaurant from China. They're relocating their Monterey Park Tang Gong Seafood location to this spot in Arcadia, replacing the current hot pot theme.I'm eagerly looking forward to the new menu. Based on their Monterey Park location and the reputation of their Chinese restaurants, I know we're in for some delicious food!

Came to try their $29 pp hot pot after reading that they r switching to dim sum only restaurant soon. The meats were a bit tough but the fish maw chicken broth was very yummy and unique (never seen it as an option from any hotpot places). Also they had a good amounts of other items to choose from (oyster, head on shrimp, fish). Unlimited can drinks and small eats were included. My daughter stuffed herself silly with egg tarts, pineapple buns, and sesame balls. Service was a bit slow but the servers were very nice. Limited English.

consistentency has been this place draw for me. I've come here 4 times now and the service and food have been consistent. what tastes good still tastes good. no skimping on quality and taste is good every time. It's not too bad even on the weekends even though it shares a parking lot with other restaurants. good money spent IF you're getting the same good taste, same good service and same good quality.
