DELICIOUS Indian food and cute mom and pop joint in an assuming strip mall in Culver City. When I say mom and pop, I mean that one of the chefs was sitting in the dining room on her phone and was called back and forth to the kitchen for extra cooking reinforcement. A no frills establishment, and that's exactly how I prefer my restaurants. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday night and were immediately greeted and seated by our server. We ordered a papdi alloo chaat, chicken makhani, palak paneer, and garlic naan. I love indian food and have tried a breadth of dishes, and I can confidently say this is my favorite, and probably the best, Indian food I've had in LA so far. The food was made fresh to order and steaming hot (as all food should be but that's not the standard unfortunately). The papdi alloo chaat -- what I can only try to describe as a sort of Indian-style nacho -- was perfect. The chaat was freshly fried, topped with chickpeas and soft potatoes, and drizzled with yogurt and tamarind chutney. It was the perfect bite that hit every flavor and texture -- crunchy, soft, hot, cold, sweet, tangy, etc. I knew we'd be in for a food meal after that first appetizer. Our entrees came out shortly after. Palak paneer was well seasoned and had ample paneer (though I do wish the paneer was cut a bit smaller, but that's just me being nitpicky). The chicken makhani was savory and had a slight kick to it, as we requested in our medium spice level. Big cubes of chicken that weren't dry. Garlic naan was simultaneously pillow-y and crunchy, just the way I like it. We were stuffed and comatose after our meal. I repeatedly told my boyfriend how delicious that whole meal was. As an avid foodie with high expectations for restaurants, this is a rare occurence for me. Pricing was totally fair for the amount of food we got. I believe each entree was around $16-$18 for a sizeable portion? This is all to say that if you have a hankering for Indian food in the Culver City/West LA area, I highly recommend Tandoori Eats.

Found this place during a trip to Santa Monica. So many Indian restaurants to choose from when in LA, but this one was conveniently close to our destination. It doesn't have too much of an Indian theme in terms of decor, which is unfortunate. I love when I walk into an Indian restaurant that truly immerses itself in its culture. The TV was on but only the Roku screensaver was playing. Would have loved to have seen some Indian music/dancing or even some cricket. Food was spicy (as requested) and had a good taste. Was all very filling and we took boxes home with us. Really enjoyed the samosas; I love that each Indian restaurant has their own way of making them. But this was one of the best I've tasted. Service was fine. It's a simple indoor restaurant, and I'm sure they get regular patronage from locals. Biggest downside for me was that they don't have public bathrooms. That's a challenge if they're serving lots of water and other drinks.

We had to do a to go on dec 1st as were heading back from LA. In a small tucked it place with nice seating. This place was a saviour for us, it was open and we read excellent reviews. Given it was close by and was open was the biggest thing for us. The owner I presume who answered, was very nice and helpful. We ordered the Goat Biryani..and had it after few hours; it remained warm in the car and it was spectacular!! Perfect flavours; perfect packaging and perfect quantity.

I can see why this place has such good reviews! The chicken tikka masala is flavored well, and really creamy, with lots of tender chicken. My only complaint is that it does not come with rice, and rice is $6.60 extra, but for a really big bowl of rice. Also tried the garlic and chicken naan and both are really delicious! They have a small parking lot, you might have to wait a few minutes for a parking spot.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant on the West Side. I mean, it has the best food. The ambience is fine, it's clean and all, and it's not trying to be "trendy" or even fancy, but they do some pretty awesome Indian food here.I saw the 5 star reviews (super rare) on Yelp and decided to see if this place lived up to the hype. We had:-Butter Chicken - Super rich, creamy, and delicious. Lots of pieces of tender chicken and so good to use as a "dipping" sauce for the naan. -Biryani - Another dish with lots of spices and flavor. Rice was not too soft, and had enough texture that it was great even the next day. A little too spicy for my girlfriend though.-Tandoori Sampler - All of this meat was just soooo good. Big pieces of meat cooked in a over with quality shrimp. The onions on the bottom were SUPER good too, they reminded me of really good (non-fried) onion rings.-Naan - Some of the best naan. Definitely made fresh and not out of a bag.The meal was really good. When we were done eating the chef came out of the kitchen to ask us how everything was. You know the food is good, when the chef comes out to greet you. It's sorta a flex by saying "Yeah, I know I am good" and this was appreciated.

My friend and I were craving Indian food and she found this small hole in wall place. Amazing food!! We ordered Chicken Tikka, Lamb Curry, Chicken Biryani, Mixed Grill Tandoori, and Garlic Naan. Yes, we ordered more than enough because we were planning to take leftover home to enjoy later or next day. Everything was so good, oh boy, my mouth is getting watery to remember those dishes. Yes, they were really delicious!!The ambiance was okay but super clean which is more important to me than being fancy. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and impeccable. I can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend!!!

A+. Always a delight to dine at Tandoori Eats.So many flavorful, quality dishes. Prepared fresh to order. (As in, not pre-made.) You can taste the difference that waiting just a little bit longer makes. Try the tandoori, which sizzles on its cast iron platter as they lay out your feast.Always thoughtful, and friendly service. If you have a larger group of family or friends, call ahead and they'll set up some tables for you.

4++ small mom and pop Indian café/restaurant located in a small lot across from the Palms metro station. The service was friendly and the menu was pretty extensive with Indian classics and a good amount of my vegetarian options. I actually came to this place right when it first opened. This place used to be a sandwich counter and deli. My first visit I got the butter chicken, but on this visit I got the chicken tikka masala. The food comes out fresh and tasty and enjoyed the food very much both times. The naan comes out hot, fluffy, and fresh as well!Great neighborhood restaurant!
