Fell for the photos and high reviews, but i definitely would not come back. Chashu was 90% fat with very little lean meat and the broth was extremely oily. Ramen isn't a health food by any means, but at this price point, I've had better ramen.Service is nice and prompt and the food tastes just fine, but the quality of the meat and broth weren't worth the price. I got the tonkotsu shoyu and my friend got the tonkotsu miso, but we couldn't really tell much of a difference between the broths we got. Only positive I could say is the soft boiled eggs were perfectly done (and were the saving grace of this meal for me).Rowland Heights doesn't have very many decent ramen places so I can see why people still like this spot/go here, but for me, I don't think I'd ever come back. Might be worth it for you if you're into the combo meals because that's pretty good bang for your buck at least.

The food here was great, the curry was falvor Gil and the chicken and pork cutlet has excellent crunch. Their fried chicken was juicy and flavorful. They gave us free ice cream due to our food took a while to come out due to an issue with the kitchen. This was a great offer by the staff :)

They have two different combo options that come with ramen, a side like dumplings or deep fried pork, and a drink - totaling under $20. It's a great value. I tried the red/spicy ramen. It had lots of pork chashu. The broth was really good and the spice wasn't overwhelming. On the table they have soy sauce and chili options. The restaurant inside is a bit small but the decor is really cute. It's modeled by a Japanese restaurant. Overall great value.

Just coming back from Japan myself, I've been craving some Japanese food while finding the vibe of Japan. Then I remember eyeing this place after driving by this plaza quite a few times. I went in and it did not disappoint at all. The meat, the soup and the noodle they also tasty. For some reason, side dish purchase the dumpling turn out to be a little pricier than pork cutlet, but I can see why, because they make the dumpling by hand in the house, which taste great! I on the other side, was craving pork cutlet, which in the combo order also comes with a can green tea or soda. Their signature Tonkatsu bowl is a steal! The atmosphere of this restaurant definitely give me a sense ofJapan vibes. Everywhere is clean, the corner of the utensil box and the containers for spices. It's definitely a son of authentic Japanese restaurant vibes. The lady serving us food kind of messed up the drinks and the side dish that we order, which she politely apologized, so it's not a big deal. But I would like to get what I want when I order next time, though I do understand, it was a very busy hours, so hopefully next time I get what I order. :p

Easy access parking in a strip mall. The place has really nice decor. They have efficient service and the wait time was okay considering now busy the are. It's probably the most busy restaurant in the mall. The food looks presentable.Unfortunately the positives end here. The food is salty and has no kick. The katsu is dry and hard.It feels like an assembled assortment with store bought things that were over baked over air fried.Overall had high hopes given the positives from other yelpers but can't recommend because the taste of the food was so disappointing.

We stumbled upon Taisho Ramen while in the plaza and decided to give it a try since it's new and seemed popular. The place is small and was fully packed when we arrived, but the waitlist system was straightforward. After signing in on a pad, we waited for about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad considering the crowd. We ordered Combo A - Rich Tonkotsu White Soup ramen, Taisho Pan-fried Dumplings (small size), and a coke, and Combo B which we went with Special Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen, Fried Pork Cutlet (small size), and a coke. Starting with the ramen, both soup bases were rich and intensely porky. The Tonkotsu White Soup was creamy and smooth, definitely the highlight of the meal. The Shoyu soup, however, was underwhelming--too salty for my taste and not particularly special. It's worth noting that the menu doesn't appear to offer any non-pork or non-pork-based ramen options. The ramen itself was average, nothing memorable. As for the sides, the pan-fried dumplings were okay, but the fried pork cutlet was disappointing. My kid found the meat too tough and only ate the crispy skin. The Taisho Chashu Rice didn't fare any better--it was dry, underseasoned, and required extra soy sauce to be remotely palatable. Even then, it felt lackluster. Lastly, the Taisho French fries were overly salty, to the point where ketchup became a necessity to make them edible.Service was fine, food came out fast, given how busy they were--nothing extraordinary, but no complaints either.Overall, the food was disappointing. It might've been an off day due to the weekend rush, but the flavors and execution didn't live up to the buzz. While the soup bases were rich, the rest of the meal fell flat. I'm not sure I'd rush back anytime soon.

Came here attracted by promo run for soft opening on Sunday lunch time.Place was quite packed, we're seated roughly 10 minutes after 'join waitlist'.We ordered the combo menu (soft opening menu)The chicken curry combo was amazed us with so many items included and tasted delish, while the ghost pepper tonkotsu ramen was quite disappointing, broth was tasted bland, considering that was Tonkotsu one.Staffs were nice, one of them was not quite understand English well. Pop music was played at the that time. Overall decor was cute, Japanese resto kinda place.

We ordered the Combo C and the tonkotsu shoyu ramen, and the food was really good! While I enjoyed the shoyu ramen, I personally prefer the tonkotsu broth from a previous visit. The ambience and interior are also really nice. Highly recommend!
