Easy 5 stars, as their nopales breakfast burrito may have been the best I've ever had! I added bacon... :)It is moist, so flavorful, quickly prepared, by sweet, friendly folks. Such a happy find! Good coffee a few doors down at Black Elephant Coffee, too!Go!

These are the best breakfast burritos you'll find in LA! They're quick, delicious and won't break the bank. Window service so make sure you have a plan for where you'll enjoy your ritos! Black elephant Nextdoor has amazing coffee options.

A casual takeout style eatery where you order and pick up at the designated windows. There will usually be a little wait, so I suggest ordering ahead of time. You can place an online order through the website and select your desired pick up time. They are average, run of the mill, delicious breakfast burritos. I personally prefer the chilaquiles burrito because of the thick, crunchy chips offering an interesting textural contrast with the warm scrambled eggs and mushy beans. The burritos are $5.99 and an additional $2 for adding any meat. The people here are always working hard to efficiently crank out the many orders received. They were kind to start on my order immediately despite me selecting a later pick up time for my food. If craving breakfast burritos in the area, this place gets the job done!

Been coming here for years, since I saw Anthony Bourdain visit on The Layover. It's really a little family run business, about the size of a really large closet, putting out quality, and consistent, Mexican food. Service tends to be very quick, even though the lines can be rather long, depending on the time of day you arrive. For the most part, there's rarely not a line. As for the food, I tend to get the papas and begin burritos, or the papas and Chorizo. The food is always freshly made to order and has so much flavor. The bacon inside is cut into small lardon size and are crispy. The chorizo pops over you bite into it. Had the steak burrito one and felt it didn't have a ton of flavor, so I'd stick with the bacon or chorizo if you're getting a burrito. Have also tried the quesadilla which was great as well. But how do you mess up a quesadilla? One other thing, the salsa you get with the food has such a good flavor and a nice spice level as well. I've asked them and they said it's made in house which is all the betterOverall, fantastic Mexican hole in the wall putting out huge flavor at a fraction of the price (burritos are now $5.99 from $5, but still half the price of anywhere else). Do yourself a favor when you're in the area and try it out

Probably in my top 3 breakfast burritos in LA if not my favorite. Almost a literal hole in the wall spot you order from along the busy street in Atwater Village. No seating - just take out. You order from the window and grab it when it's ready. Can't remember if I started coming here before or after Bourdain made it famous, but I'm not a gatekeeper and I'm happy for any fame or business this place received as a result. My go to is the papas and steak breakfast burrito. I ask to add spinach. As of 11/23 the price of this comes to $7. Super reasonable. I love the salsa here. Spicy and makes me sweat but such a great smoky flavor. So delicious. There was a time in my life I used almost get a burrito here every week - whether it was the morning after hanging out with my friends living in Silverlake or the time period in my life when I lived in Silverlake myself. So many great memories tied to this place for me. Parking can be a little tough depending when you go. There's lots of metered parking or you may have to park a bit away and walk here.

Absolutely disappointing. In a taco Mecca like LA, how does a place like this stay open? I'm a huge supporter of small business and I'm not trying to take away a family's livelihood, but I feel obligated to share my experience for Yelpers looking for advice. Yes, there always seems to be a line outside of this place. And they've redesigned this hole-in-the-wall place to have a cool food truck-type vibe. The alley way next to it even has a cool mural adding to the allure of this Atwater, hipster establishment. To let the hype fool you into eating here. Read the other 1 or 2 star reviews. The food is meh. Edible, sure. But something as simple as a chicken taco is subpar here. The meat is unseasoned and bland. Tortillas are store bought, generic. Salsa nothing special. If you wanted a typical breakfast burrito, that's not what you'll get here. I couldn't even eat it. Once again, I'm not trying to be a hater. If you're thinking of stopping by this establishment, read the other reviews.
