Tacos Al Pastor
food
Park your car. Grab a few tacos. Scarf them down. And be on your way. Or maybe do some grocery shopping while you're here.
Wide assortment of meats. Only downside is no carnitas but the pastor makes up for it. These guys work their ass off.

Finally made it to the famous Tacos Guelaguetza, one of the places that always comes up when you hear the words "tacos" and "Los Angeles" together. It did not disappoint. The menu is simple and straight to the point: tacos, burritos, mulitas, tacoqueso (a taco with cheese), and quesadillas. Meat options include asada, al pastor, pollo, chorizo, suadero, tripa, buche, lengua, and cabeza. I ordered one of each of my favorite meats--chorizo, asada, and al pastor. My favorite was the al pastor. They did something magical with the seasoning, but the other two were also very good. The salsa picante was the perfect blend of heat and flavor, bringing out the best in the meats.I was absolutely shocked to see $2 tacos. I'm from the Bay, where $5 tacos with less filling are common.Pro Tips:- It's on the sidewalk next to the parking lot of Pavilions. You can park in Pavilions.- I always like to eat on-site because I hate cold, soggy food. There's nowhere good to eat--a few people used a utility box as a table. I opted for the bus stop bench a few feet away.- Ordering is friendly but 100% no-nonsense. Be ready with your order.- Get the salsa roja--you will not be disappointed.- Try at least one al pastor taco. It's their best item. That trompo is magic.- They take cash, card, Venmo, and Zelle.

Definitely some of the best Mexican food we've had in awhile for an unbeatable price. There's a reason why there's 5 stars with long lines on a Monday night! We came here around 630pm on a Monday night and had to wait about 20 minutes in line. The wait wasn't so bad, they are pretty quick at cooking. The workers were incredibly efficient at prepping the food. It was mind boggling seeing the guy prep the tortillas, meat, skewered meat, orders, etc efficiently and accurately. The prices are hard to beat especially if you're from the bay. Seeing $2 tacos and $10 for a fat burrito. WTF, $2 tacos are what they serve as happy hour here! The pastor is a must get - incredibly flavorful meat that's well seasoned and grilled. The carne asada comes in a close second with great flavored meats. It was a bit salty, but I like sodium. You place your order, state to-go or here, and pack your sauces/toppings. I LOVE how you can get your own sauces and toppings that includes pickled onions, peppers, and variety of hot sauces. We also got a horchata for just $4 for a large. $14 for 5 tacos and horchata, what a steal! Everything was incredibly delicious. I'm just sad we live so far away!

5 stars for location, quality, and kindness. They were out of the pollo but I got four carne asada and id be lying if I didn't tell you I danced the whole time I ate these tacos. I of course recon'd the area before stepping out. It had all the markers of a quality taco stand in LA. A thriving family owned feel. A spattering of locals. The tatt'd up homie chowing down. The elder, beanie wearing blue collar Mexican gentleman ordering like six lingua tacos like an absolute madman and then hopping in his new Mercedes because how presumptuous of you, that man is clearly a multi-millionaire. The flip flop wearing burnt tan white guy who spent years in Guadalajara and now thinks he knows what the best taco in LA is... it was a perfect scene. Succulent, slamming, another s word that means incredible - these tacos hit. My new go to in Hollywood on the late night. Park in the Pavillions lot.

Tacos were good with many selections. I was grabbing a snack so only got the Al pastor, Adana and suadero. I loved how you can do all of your own toppings with a great variety of stuff. Also, it was nice how it was in a parking lot so we can stop by quickly. Service was prompt and nice.

My fave spot in LA for tacos! It's also one of the few that sells suadero - which is my bf's fave. I love it too but my tastebuds love the pastor, cabeza, and lengua. It's on the sidewalk on Melrose in front of Pavillions. The line can seem daunting but it moves quick!

This taco stand is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Lots of meat options, with the asada, pastor, and suadero as standouts. My go to order is the carne asada burrito with cheese. The cheese is grilled into the tortilla and it's a must try. Comes loaded with meat for $11 and can be shared between 2 people. Tacos here are great too and are only $2 each. The line can be long, but it moves quickly-it's worth the wait!

Pretty good, solid taco spot! Al pastor tacos don't come with pineapple like the ones at Leo's or Angel's Tijuana. Affordable at $2 per taco, and if you use credit card there is a $1 fee. All the basic self-serve toppings like onion, pico, lime, salsa. Big parking lot.
