Asada, Pastor and Pollo tacos with grilled onions and beans thrown in for free. Superb! They also use homemade flour tortillas.
Onions, cilantros, limes, cucumbers.

Al pastor. Basic. Boring. As far as street al pastor taco go, Hollywood has so much more to offer. See my other reviews

Absolutely the best asada burritos, which is basically simply but deliciously seasoned high quality steak. And they don't try to save .20 on cheese by not putting enough and ruining the experience. Their sauces are also delicious and not bland like many places.

Best street al pastor taco contest.Geography: Hollywood. LaBrea - Hollywood / Franklin - Western - Santa MonicaContestant #4.This taco stand is on Santa Monica at Highland behind the gas station. It was my first late night street al pastor experience in LA 3 years ago and it had been great.. while it lasted. Time passed and as I was unveiling other options, I felt less inclined to come back here. They evolved to cater to the masses and accept all kinds of fancy one tap phone payments, they have 4 tables and they give you free beans and roasted onions and jalapeño (yum!) but.. But. But. But. The al pastor is just basic. There's no juice, no crisp, no nothing to it and it gets consistently served from the heated container vs grilled and cut to order straight from the rotisserie grill. You can park in the art gallery parking lot or drive a 50 feet more and find a spot at the public storage parking lot which is always empty. $2.75 for a taco al pastorOct, 2024

Tacos El Chido is one of my favorite street taco stands by Hollywood, and one which I think is rather underrated when compared to other spots!Located by the La Brea & Santa Monica Blvd intersection, there's some space to pull in if you need to park. It's fun to see the asada and other meats being freshly cooked and prepared behind the stand, where you can also find ample sauces and other toppings to add to your order. There's some seating available, although obviously as a parking lot stand location, this is best used as take-out. Our order was ready within a few minutes of placing it, and we headed back home to try it! The tacos were all very solid LA street tacos - especially the Al Pastor, which had great heat to them and a good hint of the pineapple infused as well. The standout to me, however, were the mulitas - packed full of sour cream, guacamole & other toppings, every bite melted in my mouth and was packed full of punch and flavor. I didn't want to put it down and take a break while eating! If I'm not painting a clear enough picture - get the mulitas!! Everything was very solid and delicious though, so you'll be pleased no matter what! I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area at night!

This review is for the food truck (should be the same biz) parked outside of Ralph's on la brea. Tasty tacos. I got the Al pastor, lengua, and tripas. 3 tacos to hold me over after the gym. Kind of cool the tortillas are hand made--I watched her smush it through the window to make sure I get the fresh ones. Out of the three I thought they were decent. Tripas was my least favorite...personally I like mine to have a bit of crunch but I felt like it was soggy. The other two were decent. They load them up with onions and cilantro, and give you some sauce on the side. They take card, but will charge you tax nbd. Normal stuff here.

Tacos El Chido is the closest taco stand to me now and while I usually go out of my way to go to other stands I've been to I decided to give this place a try when I had family visit.I walked over there and ordered a few tacos lengua, asada and pastor and got one of their agua frescas while my BiL got a few tacos as well. The prices weren't listed but I figured 20 bucks would be sufficient, it wasn't but fortunately they took card. They have a variety of accoutrements and salsas so I availed myself to them. I tried to get a good blend with my tacos-and to be honest they were okay. There wasn't anything that stood out nor particular. My BiL was also similarly ambivalent about it. He asked me why we didn't just drive a little ways to the previous taco truck I had taken him to his last visit but I let him know they weren't there anymore.
