I feel crazy for saying this, but this might be one of my favorite sushi restaurants to go to. I just love the quality and portions that you get for the cut rolls, for only about $5-6! It's unbeatable and unheard of these days. I love how fresh the rice is and it's the perfect ratio. Not to mention it's so conveniently located right next to UCB. They do tend to get very busy and the servers/hosts can get disorganized often. I recommend knowing what you want and ordering asap just in case your server doesn't come back for a bit. The service has been friendly enough to not take away from the experience for me. Expect a causal experience with lots of other patrons in close proximity, along with delicious sushi.

Sushi Stop is a hidden gem if you're looking for fresh, affordable sushi in a casual setting. This is a small, bustling sushi spot, especially before shows at UCB next door. Expect a lively, casual atmosphere with patrons seated close together. It's ideal for a quick bite or pre-show dinner. The quality and portions are amazing for the price. Everything tastes fresh, from the perfectly balanced rice to the flavorful fillings. The service was quick and friendly.

Never thought I would see the day I left a 1 star review for sushi stop but I'm done with this place. The slop that was delivered to me tonight is disrespectful. First, they didn't bother to check to make sure the order was complete/ correct, and what did get sent to me was completely inedible and undercooked.

Stopped by here for the first time before catching an Improv show next door at UCB and it was a fun dining experience! The staff was friendly and helps out with setting tables for parties and accommodated us when we moved from outdoor to inside seating. It's a small sushi spot and it's usually busy before a show for pre-sushi and drinks before improv. The staff here does a great job getting guests started with their food orders and closing out tables to get to the show on time. Food was delicious!! Snapper Yuzu carpaccio was a delight!! Sake by the glass was really a generous pour ... overflowing (= Street Parking is free & can be difficult, there's a valet next door. Will definitely visit again!!

Sushi Stop was always my go to for fast and cheap sushi but its gone down over the years. Im not sure if it's the delivery process but one time my delivery never came. This time I ordered and the Albacore sushi had no flavor and tasted like paper. Doesnt seem fresh as before.

If you want fast, affordable and delicious sushi! Look no further than sushi stop! This place is a chain and a go to anytime I'm looking to eat!! They have rolls for under 6 bucks and speciality rolls for under 9 dollars! You really get a bang for your buck here. Staff is always super welcoming and I've never had trouble getting a table. Food takes under 10 minutes to get to your table and less than 2 minutes to demolish, it's that good! Anything tempura is good from here and their miso soup is delicious! I've never seen the tempura banana as a dessert on the menu before so had to get that and man was that gone in the blink of an eye! I love this spot and will always look for one when in the mood for sushi! An app, soup, 4different rolls, and a dessert plus tip for around 50 bucks is a steal these days! 10/10 spot for me!

The staff is really really nice, the fish isn't bad quality and it's affordable, but that's about it.We didn't enjoy a single sushi dish that we ordered. Everything was way over salted, and just straight up not good. I wouldn't recommend any of the sushi, not even the California roll. The one dish we did enjoy was the mini tempura udon. It's very flavorful and the tempura is crispy and light.Unfortunately, the low price point is still a colossal waste of money when the food is bad.I wouldn't come here again.

Four stars for the sushi & sashimi, good enough to satisfy a purist, e.g. great uni, toro, hamachi. The prep is not creative nor will it blow your mind except when you get the bill which will be half or even a third of what you'd pay for those items elsewhere. Be forewarned that they put jalapeno on almost everything whether or not it's mentioned on the menu. Just tell them no unless you don't care if you taste your uni, etc.Two stars for everything else especially the service. Me (at table full of used small plates) to my empty-handed server: Would you mind removing my dirty dishes? Him: I'm busy (continues walking, empty-handed.) Horrible, synthetic music, maybe the worst streaming service in existence, but they did lower the volume when I asked.

Very dirty, very unhygienic, the service is terrible, the employees don't know how to behave with customers and the food is served so late that you can go somewhere else to have dinner and then come back here when it's ready.
