Sushi Yuzu

This is by far my favorite sushi spot. I didn't take pictures of all the food because I ate it before they could set the plate down! Highly recommend the albacore sashimi appetizer that comes with crispy onion and the yellowtail sashimi with cilantro jalapeño. All the fish is very fresh and tender. Spicy tuna crispy rice in the mini size is awesome too. If you want a hot appetizer try the yellowtail ribs! Tried the Kushiyaki for the first time and it was really good but I prefer fish. The restaurant is small but they have outside seating with heaters. Mind you they are plastic tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Service is quick and staff is friendly(for the most part). I ended up dropping one of my salmon nigiri's on the floor and They were nice enough to bring me a new one which was not expecting. Prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for!

Love Yuzu! It's a super busy so I recommend calling and getting a reservation before hand. The servers and sushi chefs are attentive and they give you free refills for the iced green tea which I love. Food wise I recommend the Yuzu roll, spicy tuna crispy rice, albacore crispy onion, the salmon carpaccio, miso soup. Sit at the sushi bar to see the chefs preparing or get a table for more space. There's also outdoor seating available. There's a small parking lot on the side or you can park on the street.

This is one of the top sushi & sashimi quality you can buy for the price they sell, excellent menu , very fresh fish. We ate in 1 & 2 Michelin stars sushi places and the quality as close as it can get to this level with fractions of the price. Chief knows how to create art in the plate . Ambiance & service are average but the food makes us a client for more than 10 years & will never stop going, it is really great sushi & sashimi.

Service ! Omg worst service from the host! Celeste or GiGi whatever her name is ! Had us standing while she was done flirting with the men next to her stand. Insane !!! 3+ people waiting to be helped ! Unprofessional!

They tell u an hour wait which turns into 2 + hoursDont recommend this place at all. Every 15 minutes they tell u 15 more minutes

PARKINGIf you live in this area, you know that parking in Toluca Lake can be a bit of a challenge so don't get frustrated if you couldn't find parking. There's tons of parking on the main street, Riverside Drive, and a teeny weeny parking lot is right next to it but be forewarned, if you have a big truck or a full size car, you might find it a bit challenging to park it since the spaces are meant for smaller, economical sized cars. FOODThe last time I was here was over 11 years ago, maybe even more. I used to come here a lot knowing they had high quality sushi but I'm not sure if they have kept up their reputation so I'm giving it a shot. Let me tell you what looks good based on the menu they handed me. I was waiting for my party to come in and they were very patient with me and didn't pressure me to order prematurely (I wasn't sure what they want so I didn't want to assume). AMBIANCEBring your family here (if they like sushi like you and I do). But if you've been following me here on Yelp (wink! Wink! Yup that was a hint my love!) then you'll know that I am as honest as you can get with my reviews - especially when it comes to ambiance for your Dates. This place would be great for a 5th or 6th date, I wouldn't recommend it for your first date unless you're a regular and you know what you want. The extended menu is scanned via a QR Code so the short version of the menu is handed out to you when you walk in. It's a small selection so scan the QR for the rest of the menu

I can see why this place is always packed for dinner. Came here for lunch when it's more mellow and the sushi was really good. Service was also great. They checked in on us but not to where it was annoying. Cute inside but we decided to sit outside since it was such a nice day. The crispy rice was delicious and probably my favorite thing I ate followed by the yuzu roll! Would come back.

Really excellent quality fish and attentive service. The interior is minimalist and clean but on the smaller side. I would recommend getting a recommendation unless you are open to sitting out on the patio seating. Salmon sampler was really unique flavor profiles paired with salmon. Rice was perfectly seasoned and flavored, would def recommend. We also ordered several white fishes like sea bream and hamachi which were really nice cuts of nigiri as well. Ginger was natural and seemed pickled in house with no unnatural pink color. It was fantastic and would love to get back soon

What's up with the fried onion on every dish?! All you taste is fried onion and sauce. You pay for the fish flavor, not the garnish.Mediocre sushi :( Everything is either drenched in sauce or has way too much "stuff" around the fish. Hard to taste the fish itself as each roll has a "trick" to it... at this point it doesn't matter what fish you put in it as tofu would work as good.Sitting on the bar is a different experience. Much more personal and unique. Not to our chef (very far left). No hello, goodbye or anything in between. Maybe it's a cultural thing? No Japanese chefs...If you care for rolls only, try it out. If you work hard for your money and rather treated with respect AND like good sushi... well, it's not.
