One of the best dining experience we've had. This was our first introduction to the Omakase sushi experience. I booked a seat on their website months in advance. They require a deposit to book.Street parking (paid and free options). They restaurant is located on the main street. We were seated at the bar; with the best view in the house. Chef took his time with each round and the flavors were phenomenal. You could taste the quality in the fish and rice. Each dish made with intention and detail. Current price listed on their website is $80 for half note and $155 for full note. Super affordable considering the quality and portions.

This is probably the best restaurant I've been to. They feature omakase and quality, generous cuts of fish. I came here for an anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. The cadence they operated at was high level and everything was down to the last detail. It reminded me of watching The Bear but in person. The ambiance was amazing and was a very wholesome dinner. We got the whole note sitting at $140 per person but worth every penny. If you sit at the bar you will be served by the main chef Saito-san and he provides the best of service. Amazing menu, quality cuts of fish and great service.

Honestly, my friend and I were having the worst day. She was in town, and I wanted to impress her, so I made reservations for the full note omakase sushi. Of course, as luck would have it, we got rear-ended on the freeway before and were completely late to our reservation. I was so mortified since I'm never late.First off, the staff was so nice and welcoming. They totally went above and beyond and just made the rest of our night such an amazing experience. Ian, the director of beverage, set up a wine pairing that brought out and accentuated each piece of nigiri.Chef Saito was amazing to watch up close at work. Each piece of nigiri was incredible. The quality was great. The full note is $155 without the wine pairing, and I think it's totally worth it.It was such a great meal. Highly recommend. Parking is metered until 8 PM.

Food was amazing! The mackerel was the best I have ever had. We came here for my bday and there was a hand written personalized note on the table from the owner ... how thoughtful! Our waitress was so kind and attentive and the whole place is so cute, clean with most calming ambiance. I also liked that one of the sushi chefs was female! Can't wait to return again.

Incredible omakase experience. We opted for the full note menu for $150/pp, but they also have a half note option for $80/pp. Highly, highly recommend the wine pairing with their in house sommelier. It was worth every penny.Top 5 omakase places in LA for sure!

The perfect date night spot!- - A M B I A N C E / S E R V I C E - -We made reservations for dinner here and the lights were dimmed, candles were lit, not too loud...the perfect spot for an intimate date night. The waiters were all so sweet and knowledgable. Service was prompt and they were just so on top of things. There was a perfect amount of checking up on us versus letting us enjoy our dinner the whole time - - D I N N E R - - We got the whole note along with a glass of wine each. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of rose once we were seated. The meal was nicely paced and a lot! Things started off great with the edamame and miso soup. We also got a lemon sorbet to clean our palates before starting off with our sushi. Every piece was so delicious and just melted in our mouths. The flavors of the garnish were all so delicate and tasteful. There was a smear of wasabi in almost all of our sushi pieces, which I loved. If you're not a big wasabi fan, this is something you could maybe talk to the chefs about. Overall, everything was great! I think I'd go with the half note next time because that was just a little too much food for us and then just order extra of our personal favorites if needed.

Dear sushi note, here is a note for you. Your sommelier, Sean, should go back to pairing wine, if that's truly what he even does, instead of waiting your customers. We had a rather interesting evening here. Sean tried to explain to us how a restaurant works after having waited for a cut roll almost the entire time. It's Better customer service to say it's coming right up rather than explaining how a restaurant works, as if we didn't already know, there are multiple teams working on multiple different orders FOH and BOH. Especially since, the order was literally was in the hands of the kind waitress behind him. Anyway, the entire time he seemed like he wanted to run away quickly after taking our orders. The sushi here is good. The uni and the bluefin tuna were probably the two best pieces. The salmon had a strange bite that I'd never had before. Definitely not buttery as expected. The spicy tuna cut roll also had an obscene amount of rice in it. See the photo and you will understand. I've never experienced so much rice in a cut roll anywhere else which was interesting. Also be aware that anything with their seaweed paper in it, you should definitely wait about an unnecessary 5 minutes before eating otherwise it feels like you've got the leather of the sea in your mouth, and not in a good way. The ambiance here however was the only means keeping us calm. It felt like we were in a nice library/ wine bar until the crowd rolled in shortly after. It is a small place so do expect to shout to each other a bit. Overall, wouldn't come here again. There are other great sushi spots with better service, attentiveness and wider menu. They didn't have unagi or albacore belly which Sean was quick to let us know. Make sure you also read the parking signs on the streets near by, or you will be ticketed in the residential.

I came here for my birthday several months ago and left feeling pretty underwhelmed. While the food was good and fresh, I felt the service was pretty lacking. We were seated at the bar counter and the chef barely acknowledged us during the whole omakase experience. We were simply told of the dish's name and there was no further elaboration. The chef even forgot one of our courses until I reminded him. Not sure if it's just an off day, but would try another omakase place in the future.

I was searching for an omakase restaurant in the area and happened to stumble across Sushi Note. This place did not disappoint. The price for the omakase was quite reasonable given the quality of the sushi, it was about $155 per person before tax. The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with the scallops with yuzu salt being my favorite, it was simply amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very intimate and cozy, making it a perfect spot for a special dining experience. The service was outstanding the staff explained each dish in detail and guided us on the order in which to enjoy the sushi. They were attentive to our every need and answered all our questions. Overall, I would rate this place 4.8 out of 5.

My husband really wanted to take me somewhere nice for our anniversary and he really wanted good sushi/sashimi. This was such a great spot for a date night because of the lighting and ambiance inside. It's nice and not too bright which sets the mood. Our amazing waitress gave us some suggestions on what to eat. We almost ordered the whole menu but she told us to pace ourselves. We started off with some edamame, miso soup and miso mushroom soup. They were so good! Then we got a few spicy tuna rolls and some spicy tuna biscotti that I couldn't stop eating! The hamachi note and the scallop carpaccio were so fresh that they just melted in your mouth!! I was so stuffed by the end but no food was left behind. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!
