We have been here several times, I believe most of the times have been for HH. Their HH selection and prices are better than most places, esp along Wilshire Blvd, where they have lots of competition. The food quality is so-so. Many other places might have much higher quality, but alas, you get what you pay for. Service is good, and very attentive. Having said that, most of the times we've been, it hasn't been packed at all. So I'm hoping that service at peak times is also top notch.Ambiance can best be described as casual, probably one of the most casual sushi places in central LA TBH. Parking, we have always been able to find a spot in their shared lot, shared with several other places including a Starbucks...

I have been eating at sushi eyaki once or twice a week since I moved here in 2020 because I live within a good uber eats distance. I really loved this place when I first moved here but I have found that the quality of the food has steadily declined over the past 12 months. My lunch just now was so bad that I won't be eating here again, I couldn't finish it. Very sad to watch a good place decline so badly.

Food good enough. However theHostess/ Waitress has NO personality, NO manners, and NO customer service skills. Not a smile. Not a welcome. Not even w THANK YOU. SMH.Just stared at us with no expression. She was so bad i was waiting for the "What Would You Do" TV crew to come out. Hilarious but also unbelievable. And then some wait staff wonder why they get low or no tips SMH.

The place is ok, the bento box I had wasn't satisfying, the Crunch roll was so thick and had so much crab meet it was 2 inches thick, the backed salmon was ok, a little too dry. Ambience is ok, the whole experience felt rushed even tho the place had only few customers. One and done kinda thing for me now.

This is the closest sushi restaurant to my house and they are great! The servers and chefs are friendly and welcoming and the food is consistently fresh and delicious.I think I only ate inside once but they have plenty of room for small and large groups. It's a good place for kids and families.Things I have tried and are tasty:- salmon sashimi (cuts are nice and big)- Philadelphia Roll- Cucumber Roll (for my son)- Mixed Tempura- Crunch Roll- Hamachi Collar- Poke salad (once or twice, the lettuce:fish ratio was off)They do have a parking lot BUT with the other restaurant, Starbucks and activity centers in the same plaza, it can get busy. They do have street parking on Citrus but make sure to read the signs. Permit parking after 6pm.

We've been coming here for about 16 years and never has the food been anything less than stellar! The sushi is superb and very fresh and the bento box is my favorite. The service is authentic and it feels very much like a neighborhood restaurant.

Generous, fresh, tasty, and a bit pricy, too. A nice surprise. The service can be inattentive, so if you come here for lunch during work, be advised. Try the sashimi/sushi combination, and the spicy tuna with crispy rice is tasty and huge.

The food is acceptable, service is mid, & the ambiance is alright.Happy hour pro tip, the restaurant/their point-of-sale system applies the 50% discount to only your cheapest roll(s) and beverage(s). So stick with the premium items and keep your number of item orders to an even number to maximize the most "bang for your buck."So for example, if ordering 2 scallop hand rolls and 2 tuna hand rolls, then you'll be charged full price for the scallop rolls and half price for the tuna rolls. If ordering sake, then stick with sake cause the cheaper alcohol will be charged the 99¢ happy hour price.Happy hour discounts/rates are not applied chronologically.Notes about the service: wasn't given a menu when seated so I got up to get it myself. Had to speak up multiple times for the waitress to hear me (given that I sat at the bar in front of an A/C on full blast, the restaurant wasn't that loud and only a quarter full).Notes about the food: nothing special - the seafood ingredients are run-of-the-mill and accessible from Asian grocery stores like Mitsuwa or H-Mart and easily replicable at home for a fraction of the price. The king crab hand roll I ordered had 2-3 small pieces of real crab and the rest was inflated with slivers of imitation crab.Order summary: 2 scallop, 2 tuna, and 1 king crab hand rolls + 2 large hot sakes totaled to appx. $55 not including tip.

this is my sushi joint. The owner is kind and really cares about his customers. despite the size of the shop every night is full of people and they leave very satisfied. I have a go to order every time I visit and they never fail to make my mood better.
