From the moment we walked in, and Toy greeted me, my niece and my visiting brother, I knew we were going to enjoy ourselves. The restaurant is small and simple, but well decorated with an open kitchen and sushi bar. We flubbed up the reservation, but no problem. Toy graciously handled it and gave us a great table, even though it was very busy. Our server took great care of us, the selection was awesome and the food was great. A wonderful experience. I'll be back with friends!.

My friend and I happened upon Sushi Enya by accident. We were walking along the street looking for a particular restaurant and after a few minutes of not being able to find it, we saw the door to sushi enya and decided to cut our losses - and what a surprise for us! We were pleasantly surprised by some great quality fish and incredible service. No reservation and we sat immediately. We had such great service from the staff. The vibe is perfect for an intimate dinner. The fish is FRESH and melts in your mouth. We only ordered a few things, the bill was pricier than I was expecting but still good nonetheless. Would come back for sure!

Admittedly I'm mostly used to cheap sushi. Sure I've been to a few fancier spots like sugarfish and some exceptional mom and pop spots. However my best friend regularly goes to omakase spots at the $250+ range and even he said Sushi Enya completely blew it out of the water:Tip - book a reservation. It wasn't exactly crowded when we went, but they appreciated it. They'll also validate parking.Food - definitely come during happy hour. It's not cheap, but happy hour has some deals that stretch your dollar to be worth more. Everything tasted so fresh. Most of our order was the chef's choice for happy hour and it felt like everything was perfectly paired on top of expertly assembled. Garlic edamame was nice and garlicky and salty. The sashimi, while thin, tasted like it was caught and prepared that day. The sushi was beautifully done and combined with the right bases and fish. The omakase had such delightful array of nigiri. I could go on, but this restaurant really sets the standard for what's good quality sushi.Service - usually I don't like to rate places on this because food service is unforgiving so I try not to focus on it (unless it's really bad or good), but everyone here was insanely hospitable and observant. Only one person at our table ordered omakase, but myself and my other friend got the same complimentary miso soup. They also paid attention to one mention of a birthday and served a complimented dessert without us asking. Ambiance - intimate and cozy, but you can definitely hear nearby tables' conversations. Would not pick this as a first date spot, but an established couple would have a great date night here. Also great for small groups (it's not a big place so groups larger than 5 might struggle). It's definitely worth the splurge, but come during happy hour. We will be back!

Came with my coworkers, and it was pretty lively on a Tuesday evening. Got seated at the bar and was able to watch the chefs prepare our sushi. They also gave us bins for us to put our bags. We ordered the snow crab tempura with gravy, the lemon roll, one of the rolls with eel, and hand rolls. They served complimentary miso soup and even gave us matcha ice cream and rice tea at the end.Overall, service was friendly and attentive, and food was delicious. Everyone in my party really liked the vibes and enjoyed catching up after work!

came here for dinner tonight and was so pleased with everything. The service left no room for me to say anything negative. Attentive, friendly, etc. They do have parking here, but since we were going to be hanging out in Sawtelle I just ended up parking in the Marshalls HomeGoods parking lot, which is really the move if you're coming out here to this area. We got a few rolls and we loved all of them except for one. The lemon roll was just kind of strange with the lemon rind still on the roll, it was bitter. But the chef number two rule was chef's kiss. It had spicy tuna, shrimp tempura inside, eel on top, on one side of the plate chili oil, which was so good with the role, and some avocado on top to give it a really creamy aftertaste. We ordered the eel mascarpone nigiri because I'm a big fan of aburi miso cream cheese eel which is a similar concept. this was so delightful and I really can't forget the flavor, it's a core memory for my tastebuds. The spicy tuna crispy rice was out of this world. They give you such a large amount of great quality spicy tuna on top of a perfectly cooked crispy rice that's been in this sweet and spicy sauce. I thought it was great that the crispy rice was in the sauce because usually the crispy rice can be a bit hard but this softened it up. Lastly the snow crab California roll was simple but delicious with perfectly cooked rice and a nice filling.Ambience was very nice and reminded me of Japan. Great place for some kind of special event. Will definitely come here again.

I've been to downtown OG location and apparently there's like 3 more locations! I was meeting a friend here but accidentally went to the Beverly Hills location! Luckily it was just 20 mins from the Sawtelle location. But when I finally got there, I found parking easily and got there and it was happy hour! We ordered a bunch of stuff from that menu. Both got the sapporo. Got the spicy tuna on crispy rice, shishito peppers, chefs special and the sashimi plate. Also got the special #2. All was delicious as always!

I never had spicy tuna like I had it here, it's just superb.Came here because I was drawn by the happy hour menu but I will definitely come back if I'm in the area because it was both delicious and worth it.Reservation:You can reserve a table online via open table!Parking:They do validate if you park The Block which is the plaza nearby to their location. Service:Amazing and friendly, the staff were on top of it and service as quick and prompt.Food:Happy hour varies every day and they have a selection of items available.CRISPY RICE TUNA - this was by the far my most favorite thing. The spicy tuna is minced so well and had such an amazing texture and taste. I dream of this. Complimented by the crispy flavorful rice soaked in this umami sauce. This was a flavor bomb, and this is the one recommendation I would say you have to get.I also got the sashimi platter and plate and a handful of nigiris to try. They were all great quality cuts of fish and the rice for the nigiri was well seasoned. They have a daily roll that is on the happy hour menu and the day we went it was the Tiger Crunch and that was delicious. The subtle hint of chili oil was a nice touch and ofc the spicy tuna inside was dreamy. They fan out their rolls into this beautiful long plate that makes it super aesthetic. Next time I will have to try the omakase which looked incredible!
