The search for authentic Lebanese Chicken Shawarma has finally ended! This place is IT!I have ordered it twice in the past two weeks. Chicken Shawarma wrap with french fries added inside.Too excited and too hungry to take photos, but I promise next time I will! I haven't tried any other items yet and I can't wait to. Thank you Sunnin for your authenticity! (In Arnold accent) "I'll be back"

Food was Delicious! Falafel was perfectly executed- crunchy outside and tasty, soft inside. The hummus was creamy and had great flavor. Crispy potatoes are something not to skip! You can smell them from the moment they come out to the table- again perfect texture. Pita was good but slightly dry- still wouldn't pass! Parking is rough. Small amount of parking for the restaurant and some metered spots out by the road. Small restaurant so it can get busy, we had to wait for a while after eating to check out and seemed to be slightly understaffed as our waitress was attentive but attending to every table in the restaurant.

Sunnin Lebanese Cafe is a halal casual Lebanese restaurant located in the Westwood area. Parking maybe a challenge as either you have to find some metered street parking or make avail of the 5 spots in their lot.Fool - $11 - The version of fool here was a bit more runny than other ones I have had, it consisted of mashed fava beans, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice. Served with some thin pita bread it was a light starter with a strong lemon flavor profile.Combo grill - $33 - This came with Lebanese rice, side salad, hummus, and 3 kabobs (kafta, beef, and chicken). The hummus was chunkier than I had hoped for and the salad was pedestrian The beef had good flavor but was slightly chewy and the chicken was tender but needed more seasoning. The kafta kabob on the other hand was tender, juicy and bursting with flavor and the best kafta I tried.Overall, I thought the food was good, but way over priced. The inside could use a bit of refinement, as the interior is plain, sparse, and out dated.

The mezza plate was the star - for $40 you get 2 of all the best apps, falafel, hummus, grape leaves, babaganoush, salad, fried kibbeh, fried dough with meat, and small spinach pie! The bread was fresh and doughy. Their side spice was great, almost like a tomatillo salsa. We also got the lamb kabob which was juicy and paired well with the rice. Service was quick and I liked the wall decor and pillows at the booth. It feels family run and authentic.

Food was good! I had an amazing time with my Ragazza! We went in burned out as fuck, but we came out happy! Shawarma combo was our thing! I'm new to Lebanese food! It's like having many different bites of different hamburgers and sandwiches. Thinner bread, and you build each bite so you can have many different combinations of flavors of sandwich/slider bites! With a sip of lebonese red wine to cleanse your palette in between! Bellissimo!!!!

I've been going to Sunnin for over 20 years and it passes the test of time. Shish Tawook (Chicken Kebab plate) is the best. It tastes the same as it did 20 years ago, and that's a good thing. Get a piece of pita, tear it in half, and stuff it with the chicken, salad, rice, and garlic sauce. I saw that my original review was four stars, and the fact is, any place that I'd be perfectly happy going to at any time deserves five stars.

Sunnin is hands down the best Lebanese restaurant in West LA. Having experienced Lebanese cuisine extensively since I was a child, I can confidently say that every single dish here is outstanding--made with love and care. The warmth of the staff, including, Em Tony, Rita, Mariam, and Nizar makes every visit feel like a home-cooked meal with family. The ambiance is just as inviting, with authentic Lebanese art adorning the walls, adding to the experience. Their attention to authenticity and hospitality sets them apart, and there's simply no comparison in the area. A must-visit for anyone craving truly exceptional Lebanese food.

Overall: a very memorable and yummy experience for someone new to Lebanese foodFood: 5/5Had lots of delightful additions of acidity. Stew was well balanced though didn't have as much meat/umami flavor as I would've liked. The hummus and eggplant dips were creamy and drizzled with an extremely vibrant olive oil. Service: 5/5Food was prompt. Servers were kind. They offered to move us to a 4 person table (even though our party was 2) since we ordered so much food. Ambiance: 4/5Friendly and warm, though could do with some updates. Definitely a neighborhood spot kind of vibe.

First time trying Sunnin last night! The service was excellent and we ordered stuffed squash recommended by the server. Every bite was absolutely delicious. We also tried the lamb which was wonderful along with hummus and fantastic salad. We even tried the dessert and coffee. Perfectly healthy, delicious and elegant meal in their beautiful dining room! Can't wait to come back!

My workplace was treated to a catered lunch. The cafe was closed when I tried to go in December, but based on this lunch, I would go back to dine there. The highlights of my meal lunch were the falafel, hummus and the tangy salad dressing. The falafel was mildly spiced and crunchy. The beef kebab was tender but salty. The grilled chicken breast chunks were overcooked. I noticed 2 differences between Lebanese and Persian food. My kebab had chopped green herb(s?), and was served with pilaf whereas basmati rice is part of Persian cuisine. I prefer the fluffy basmati rice. Also, many grilled Persian dishes come with grilled vegetables, optional raw onion and sumac. The catered kebabs came with cooked onions. A look at their menu makes me curious to try Lebanese food like kibbeh. And it's hard to resist any place with fresh baba ganoush!
