We were served some great Korean cuisine to which I'm a huge fan of here in Korea Town. The quantities of the food matched the price, and the taste was even better. The inside of the restaurant can be close in proximity to other tables but I don't mind when there's good food across the way. The service of the staff is timely and waiting for the food wasn't long at all. I would love to come back here.

Was really excited to try this place especially since they have so many location. Friendly staffs and clean store. The food was just okay. I really liked the flavor of the soup and the broth had a good spicy kick! The meat just felt so dry. The potatoes could be a little softer. The tteok-bokki had a nice soft texture. The banchan (side dishes) was very limited and subpar. Overall, it was expensive and I only enjoyed the soup.

We visited this Korean restaurant and ordered the Galbi Jjim Specialty to share among four people. The dish was very flavorful--the meat was tender, though not quite "fall-off-the-bone," as it took a bit of effort to remove from the bone. The sauce was delicious and well-balanced, with the "mild" spice level providing just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The portion size was good for four people, but we felt there was a bit too much potato and onion compared to the amount of meat and tteokbokki. That said, the overall experience was enjoyable, and we'd definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu!

Parking is small. Inside space is small. However, the Galbi Jjim IS GREAT! There's a reason the wait for this spot is usually long. It's a grea lt spot for a group of 2-4 at the most. Service was good.

We love Galbi Jjim and the place serves the best one! Always order large, with cheese. Extra meat is a must if you are wearing your sweatpants. I tried mild and not spicy, and I like mild better. If it is up to me, I would order more spicy but too bad, my family is a whimp. This branch is a little small compared to other location. But service is always good no matter which branch you go.

First time eating at Sun Nong Dan. We ordered the galbi Jjim, which is an assortment of meats, including short rib, ox tail, back rib braised with onions, potato and rice cake. It's served with molten cheese that is melted table side. The food was amazing! The service was very prompt as the restaurant was busy and they want you to eat and split so others can dine. The setting is very casual and it is a bit loud, but not terrible. All in all a great experience, I highly recommend!

3.5 stars. Delicious, but not worth the wait involved or the weird vibe from the staff. Arrived around dinner time and the line was already pretty long. We waited probably 30 minutes for a table. The guy at the door manning the list was unwelcoming and had a bit of an attitude, which he noticeably didn't have with Korean or Asian guests. When we were seated, every interaction -- of which there were few -- was transactional. The food was at least better than the service, but pricey. We went with the galbi jjim, no cheese (so we didn't get to watch our plate get set on fire), $84.99 (M). This was enough food for at least four people, which makes the price more reasonable when put that way. They weren't cheap with the meats, either, which were unbelievably tender. The flavors in this dish were awesome. Loved the mix of white and green onions, the spice level, and the tteok had a nice chew. I'd absolutely get it again and we left with a ton of leftovers. What I *wouldn't* get again was the brown rice. It was sticky, some of the grains were hard, and it was slightly flavorless. I'm usually a rice fiend but had no desire to finish my bowl when I was done with dinner.Fantastic dish, bad rice, lackluster service with an attitude. Wouldn't really be interested in coming back.

You know you're in for a treat when you snag a table at Sun Nong Dan, at any of the locations within LA. On a busy Friday night after swooping on a Loading Zone parking spot adjacent to the wild lot that SND is located in -- we got seated in the cozy restaurant after a meager 10-minute wait. The Galbi Jjim is enough to share for 2-3 people, so don't be alarmed at the price. And trust; it is SO worth it. The delectable galbi paired with the just-the-right-amount-of-oily veggies kept nailing the spot, over and over again as I engulfed it with my rice bowl.Definitely comfort food that's to be enjoyed a few times yearly, and really enjoyed the staff facilitating our experience to seat as many patrons as possible! Would try the other locations soon; for science.

This place is AMAZING & peep those late night hours...Insane! I came here after a Dodger Game & it was actually not that crowded on a Friday night @ 8pm. The sides & the dishes here are the best I have had by far in LA. This place was a recommendation from a friend of mine that has been to Korea & she even says it's better! Definitely come here with a big party and order the Galbi Jjim. It's so big but so good- nothing beats the cheese torch and the sauce that the Galbi is in. The best Korean place with the best late night vibes!
