This is a wonderful small Asian buffet. They have a lot of great selections and plenty of fresh seafoods and sushi/nigiri. The Poke bar was an unexpected delight. The staff is friendly and attendant. Though the buffet is on the small side (space wise), they have tons of variety. Frau salad and fruit bar, sush and nigiri bar, tekenanki station, poke bar, and tons of traditional Asian buffet staples, like kung Pao, coconut shrimp, and tempura vegetables, as well as small bites, like egg rolls/spring rolls, sautéed mushrooms, and Chinese donuts. We were very pleased here and enjoyed taking out of town guests who wanted something more "familiar" one night. 10/10 we can't wait to go back.

It's just meh. I've had better Asian buffets at other locations. In the SFV, I guess this is considered a good Asian buffet. There's no other Chinese buffets close by.

We come to Sumo as a tradition, when my uncle comes to visit once a year. My uncle and mother don't like restaurants anymore, nor do they like to try new places. So at this point it's Sumo or we order food Togo fast food. Now with that context -in to my review. Above average Buffet -food quality. I ate mostly sushi and poke. (Poke is better). Can request hand rolls, but cost is $2 per. Not interested when I'm already paying $30 per person. There's a variety of seafood types, as well as the usual foodsDessert is OK. I like the chocolate fundae , with a marshmallow and pineapple. Ice cream - green tea is a plus. Service is good, no issues at all. So that's a plusA decent venue, if you want a buffet at their price. (Many are $40+)

Not bad for a buffet. Tons of options, plenty of seafood, no shortage of protein. You'll get both Japanese and Chinese food with a hint of Mongolian. Cleanup service at the tables was a bit slow, but not terrible. The price is impressive considering how much seafood you're able to eat. The fresh fruit was a bit overripe or not the prettiest, but all things considered the food tasted good, and you can find something for everyone.

Honestly? This place exceeded expectations for your run of the mill Asian buffet. They have a good variety and everything I tried was fair to good. Lots of seafood, decent sushi section, Mongolian barbecue line, and Chinese standards with other hot foods. There's ice cream, but the other desserts were a little lacking imo.Service was ok and it was pretty busy/loud inside with lots of families. The inside could use some sprucing up, but it was tidy. The buffet itself is large, though the aisles are a little tight with the crowds. Altogether, not bad!

I was invited as a guest to the baptism of my cousin's daughter. The reception was held in this buffet restaurant in Woodland Hills. Sumo Asian Buffet & Grill offers a vast selection of Asian cuisine in a casual, all-you-can-eat buffet setting. Definitely so many dish choices including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai. It's impossible to try them all. My fave was the teppanyaki cuz it's freshly made. There's also several varieties of desserts and ice cream. While it might not be the most refined dining experience, it delivers on variety, flavor, and value, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal.

Was actually surprised to see I hadn't left a review since I'd eaten here several times before when I worked across the street but better late than never. Came here for a weekday lunch after a family event. About 25 of us and we were given a private-ish seating area. Lunch is $18.99 for adults and they have discounts for senior citizens. The food is the usual you'd see at an Asian buffet. Sushi, Chinese food, some American fare, soup, Teppanyaki and dessert options like cake and ice cream. Really good amount of options given the price. Service was nice. Ample parking in this lot. Nothing fancy about this place but can't go wrong if you want a local all you can eat place.
