Cracc in the 80s good! The elder lady at the counter is super sweet. I originally came here for the Wi-Fi and ended up supporting them by grabbing a Thai tea (10/10). That was about a week ago. Today, I decided to stop by and grab something to eat. Even though they were closing up, she was generous enough to take my order.I wanted to keep it simple because I know how it is closing a kitchen and having a customer come in last minute. I asked her about the barbecue plate and decided to order that. She recommended the pork option, and I'd never had Thai pork before--but man, let me tell you, that plus the rice is hands-down some of the best Thai food I've ever had.It was so good that I'm tempted to check out all my usual go-to dishes at Thai restaurants just to compare. I took a bite while sitting in the car before pulling off, and it was very hard to resist eating the whole plate right then and there. Even now, as I'm driving and writing this review, I can smell the freshly cooked food calling me to pull over and finish the plate--lol.!

Just moved to this area and was excited to have a Thai place down the street, all their signature dishes have been tasty but the tried and true (pad se ew, pad thai) are excellent as well.

One of my FAVORITE Thai restaurants in LA that's serving up dank Northern Thai cuisine. Great portions, fair prices and a great range of flavors...never had a bad dish yet. Also, if you're ever in a chatting mood the story of how this place came to be is heartwarming so be sure to ask for an added humanity bonus. Had the Mixed Salad and WOW I was surprised by the array of sweet, salt and spice and it was gone in seconds; twas so nice I'll order it twice. Get over there and enjoy!

Food here is always great. Their jackfruit salad is not overly spicy, it's done just right. Their curry dishes are wonderful. Highly recommend. Lady who runs it is nice. Ambiance is good.

I am saddened to report this, but they have changed owners, or cooks, or management. If you love this place as much as I did, you can tell immediately things are different when you walk in. I asked them if they changed owners immediately and they denied it. However the same lady who was behind the counter for over 10 years is gone, the staff was different, they now accept cards, the infamous cash only sign and ATM are gone, and most importantly the food is different. The Tom Kha soup is very watery, the food is not very flavorful, the bbq pork is dry (though the sauce is still good), and the pad kra pow (spelling?) was too saucy. Overall, I'm so sad of the changes. If they didn't change owners they definitely changed something and hopefully they'll figure it out but it's definitely not as good as before.

-Thai BBQ Pork with Shrimp Fried Rice - BBQ pork was amazing with perfect degree of sweetness. I'd eat this pork every day and not get tired of it. Shrimp fried rice was really good as well. One of my favorite dishes in Thai town for sure.-Tom Yum Soup - Great flavor. Good balance of sweet and sour. Plentiful toppings.-Khao Soi - Soup flavor was really good. Noodles decent. -Mango Sticky Rice - Was tasty. Good coconut flavor to sticky rice. Saw one of the tables get two orders of this which compelled me to order one myself. Overall, great food, great service, and would come back again to try other dishes. The Thai BBQ Pork was too good.

Delicious spot serving up Khao Soi - it is the best! Service is fast and no frills, but the food makes up for it. Super authentic and homey interior. I would drive out of my way to go eat here.

So this was the best Thai food I've had when I found this place in 2009... it remains the best Thai food I've had in 2023. I've been all over the USA, all over Asia, hell I've even had Thai food in Europe. Nothing compares.Kay and Noong bring their A-game every time... though I will steer you towards the Northern Thai dishes, specifically. In fact, just tell them that (really tall) Sean sent you and let them serve you whatever they like. It will be the best you've had. Trust. I've been searching for better Thai food for 15 years, and thus far I've found a few distant second-place restaurants... and they were in Bangkok. Save yourself the plane fare, this place is on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Normandie, which is likely closer for you...

SOOO good!!! Have been going here for years and they're always consistent(ly delicious!) One time I cheated on Spicy BBQ and went to Jitlada which is a super popular other Thai restaurant in Thai town but unfortunately it was disappointing and expensive Lesson learned!! I'm sticking with spicy bbqThe restaurant is usually pretty empty which I wish they weren't because I want them to be open 5ever!! But that's been the vibe pretty much every time I come. Maybe one other small party , but it's often just myself and whoever im with The servers they have are nice and usually just let you be alone which I likeBut let's be real. service isn't super important, the FOOD IS Pad Thai , khao soi, nam tok, pad see ew , pad kee mao , green curry I've had all those here multiple times and it's ALWAYS GOOD. Just one time the green curry was thinner than usual but flavor still bombApologies for the poor spelling if there's any but yeah...im writing this kind of hastily bc im a huge procrastinator and would like to write a more well structured review with photos but oh well ! My point is you should definitely come eat here if you want to be in a pleasant , charming environment with fantastic , scrummmmptious, reasonably priced Thai food !! :))
