If you saw this spot on DoorDash or Uber Eats and you've been wondering if it's good or not baby I'm here to tell you to go ahead and place your order neowwww! I ordered three times and they're really good. The food delivers well, I like the packaging, there was no spillage, it was hot, fresh and arrived in a timely manner. Now the grub:* Get the Spreezy Rolls at least once! I've been seeing mac n cheese + candied yam egg rolls on "The Gram" and these didn't disappoint. They delivered really well and were crispy topped w/ powder sugar and a side of sweet dipping sauce.* Mac and Cheese- I'm a mac n cheese fiend okay! An aficionado if you will and I take it very seriously lol. Mac and cheese can make or break a soul food restaurant and Southern Soul LA definitely gets it right. This is one of the better macs you can find in LA.* The greens are delicious and seasoned just right. A few dashes of Louisiana hot sauce sets it off. One of the Yelpers said the flavor was giving Glory Greens but I respectfully disagree. * The Candied yams were perfect! Somebody's big armed aunty definitely in the kitchen on those.* The salmon and catfish nuggets were fire. The salmon glaze was a little sweeter than I would like but it was still good. I wish they had homemade tartar sauce instead of the stuff in the packet. I used hot sauce on the catfish nuggets only.Give this place a try because they're rocking out some damn good soul food.

First off let me say this is thee best soul food in LA!!! I am from North West Indiana/Chicagoland area and I was looking for a good soul food restaurant and came across SSLA. Once again best in LA baby. No other soul food restaurant delivered each time with the same quality, freshness and taste like y'all did. Your presence is missed and I am praying you open soon!! The southern bowl with Mac and cheese, black eye peas, rice, sweet potatoes and greens was BOMB! The salmon nuggets were good but I was too stuffed after the bowl to enjoy them. The salmon was good as leftovers for the next day by the star for me was the bowl!

Food was amazing! We ordered take out for a party of 12. Not a single complaint. Fish, chicken, sides, everything was in point.

Went to get a quick bite here and my goodness it was delicious! I got the southern style egg rolls and they were so good! The sauce that came with em was sweet and the yams and Mac & cheese paired perfectly!

OMG! Southern Soul kitchen is awesome, I ordered the Party Wings and my sides were the Turkey Greens and Mac n Cheese. The muffin was soooo good, service was excellent, the gentlemen at the door was friendly and very helpful. 10 Stars.

Great soul food. Highly recommended. My favorite were the greens, macaroni cheese and fried catfish. Delivery was hassle free and quick!

Best kept secret "NO CAP" I love everything on the menu! Try the salmon bites I promise your stomach will thanks you.

Food was great! Wish I could've ate more ! The service was better than I was expecting even in a busy night on a weekend. The place its self was very grand and comfy once settled in. From the lighting to the tables to the way the restaurant lit up during dinner was something straight out of the south! Can't wait to come back.

Ordered on lunch today , customer service was excellent.. Food portion was a very good amount .. Fried chicken perfectly crisped , greens were very good ... the mac and cornbread .. everything was good !!
