Made a quick stop here for lunch, having never heard of it before. Though the location kind of came out of nowhere, when I walked in there it was pretty lively.I ordered the beef steak, chicken, and chorizo tacos with everything on them and they were delicious! When the food was brought out, very quickly I might add, I was encouraged to "tear it up" and y'all can consider it ... tore up! I will definitely be coming back again.

I wanted to try Sonoratown's fresh handmade tortillas. So I ordered a cabeza burrito 2.0. The flavors were solid. Cabeza was tender, tortilla was chewy and grilled, beans and Monterey Jack was blended together well. Overall a solid burrito. Not big enough to fill me but it was a good tasting burrito.Service was fast and friendly. There is plenty of counter seating inside but they play the music really loud. Outside there are a few tables available and it's quieter. They have a small parking lot that is shared with 7-11 and a few other stores.

Sonoratown, my love. Why did it take this long for me to discover how special and authentic you are?Fear not, those days are over. Wow, I finally had Sonoratown for the first time like a week ago and I am already thinking about my third trip here. The costilla steak tacos were bomb, but the star of the show for me was the chicken chivichangas!!! I was used to the deep-fried burrito that most identified with the name "chimichanga" but Sonoratown does it different and WAY BETTER MIGHT I ADD. It's grilled and the flavors are infused and melted together like the best creation God/Buddha/Allah has ever created. Am I being dramatic? Yeah, and?!A worthy mention is their red salsa - very nice flavor and with a kick! Truly can't wait to try other things on the menu, but so far you got a returning customer that will always be loyal to you. See ya soon! (This weekend?)

Great chivichanga -- a small size but super filling and flavorful! Really cheesy and yummy. I got the beef one and it was great. The chicken burrito was also yummy but nothing out of the ordinary -- the salsas helped level it up. Excellent service & super friendly workers though, and plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Everything was super affordable. Overall great vibe for a casual lunch!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Sonoratown after eating here so many times. My husband and I like their menu. It has just the right amount of variety to find something good.I usually get the costilla. I tried the chorizo, and I just didn't love it as much as the flavor of the grilled steak. Their tortillas are delicious. The salsa can taste very spicy when they add a more generous portion. Keep that in mind if you need to modify it if you prefer milder flavors. The Taco (3.5 stars) is a good starting point, but I recommend the Carmelo (4 stars) and Lorenza (4 stars). The Carmelo is bigger than the taco with addition of the cheese, beans, and cabbage. I like the crunch of the corn tortilla in the Lorenza. I enjoyed the Burrito 2.0 (5 stars) that was filled with steak, beans, cheese, salsa, and guacamole. They mentioned their most popular item was the Chivichanga (5 stars), and it has become my favorite. I alternate between the shredded beef and chicken. It includes a saucy filling. It is also good reheated if you have leftovers or order an extra one. The Horchata (5 stars) was refreshing and one of the best I've had. The service (5 stars) was consistently great. They were very nice, and they quickly prepared our takeout orders. They also made great menu recommendations. It's one of my favorite spots that I like to stop by when I'm in the area.

Got the steak burrito. Yes, the flour tortilla is amazing (as advertised), super tasty, buttery almost. That said, the burrito itself was fine? Steak had good flavor but barely any cheese, lots of beans, flavorless salsa (all you taste is the spice), and non-existent guac. It was basically beans, spicy salsa, and steak in a really good tortilla.Ingredients are for sure fresh and everything is well prepared, just didn't enjoy the final product. Aguas Frescas was really good, so again, place is legit, just a little too one dimensional for me. Will prob come back and try the tacos.

Once again, one of the "best of its kind" places in Los Angeles is in an unassuming, Mid-City strip mall. Great vibe inside and equally great service. Friendly, fast and super reasonable for what you get, especially by this city's standards. I got the chicken burrito 2.0 with no modifications. Incredibly good. Grill-scored tortillas was the perfect consistency, tender and crispy all in the right places. Have no fear of your chicken tasting like chicken or biting into cartilage. It was excellent and, I'm willing to bet, would make a great dinner alone and by itself. The guacamole and bean combo was superb. The salsa was spicy, gave it a fantastic kick. Loved it.

Nice staff and quick service. It seems to stay busy so you know it's good. Good amount of seating inside with cute artwork. Chivichanga was good and just enough food if you're not too hungry.

Parking here is definitely an issue during the rush. The tacos are made with fresh tortillas where the owner drives all the way down to Mexico weekly to buy the flour needed to make these. They are a little thicker than your normal street tacos. Each taco is $3.50 each, which is steep, but the quality justifies it. I wish it was a little bigger though. I ordered the tripas, costilla and cabeza. The tacos come dressed with salsa, which had a kick to it, but wasn't overly spicy to me. The tripas are deep fried and was like eating chicarrones. The cabeza was just ok. But the costilla had a great char flavor and was tender. This is the one meat to get if you come here. The tripas would be number 2 for me though. Looking forward to coming back here. There are some tables right outside also.
