Went on a Saturday afternoon for a light lunch and was able to get a table for two without any wait. I mainly went to soak in the beautiful outdoor ambiance and enjoy the lovely view of The Grove. The outdoor seating here is impeccable, creating the perfect setting for a leisurely afternoon.Ordered the Pomodoro soup, a selection of Bruschette, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a cappuccino. Every single dish was fantastic. The servers speak Italian to each other, so it was gunna be awkward if the food hadn't been good. The Pomodoro soup was tangy and tomato-forward--not creamy, but instead embracing the natural texture and bright acidity of the fruit. It paired perfectly with the Bruschette. The truffle and tomato Bruschette were the true standouts. The truffle wasn't overpowering but melded beautifully with the garlic and olive oil, achieving a perfect balance of flavors in every bite. The real surprise, though, was the tomato Bruschetta. The tomatoes were sweet and tender, their skins peeled and seemingly fermented in a light sugar water (?), creating an incredible burst of flavor with each bite. It was unexpectedly the star of the dish. The freshly squeezed orange juice was, as promised, truly fresh and excellent. The macchiato was also spot-on.Beyond the food, the service was warm and welcoming. The servers, hosts, and bus staff brought a piece of Italy to LA, making the experience all the more special. Love love love

Overall: decent food with a few nitpicks Food: 4/5Ragu: deep flavors, rich meat sauce and the right amount of creaminess Truffle pizza: crust has nice chew though not much flavorFilet steak: a very thick gray band (uneven cook temperature), carrots were soft, charred and sweetCarpaccio: the arugula dressed in lemon juice gave the dish nice balance Service: 5/5We got there right at opening so they seemed a bit frazzled. Food came quickly and servers were attentive. Ambiance: 4/5nice heat lamps for outdoors, great view of the Grove (especially the Christmas tree). It was unfortunate that little leaves kept falling in our food :(

Sogno Tocasno is the newest Italian restaurant at the Grove. With a light green aesthetic and beautiful floral plates, I'm getting a Gucci Osteria vibe and I don't mind. It started as an actual foods brand in NYC and this is now their second restaurant location here in LA, the first in Santa Monica.I've had brunch and dinner there now, but with such a big menu, there's still so much to try! They have a strong emphasis on wines and cocktails, so if that's your thing you may enjoy their libations. Though I can't comment on the liqs, their espresso was rich and tasty. The burrata at brunch was beautiful, with meat and figs that were just heavenly~! It was a variation of the Burrata & Crudo on the menu, some type of special that day the said would soon be added to the menu. They def should because we loved it. We also had an egg breakfast schiacciata/sandwich which we weren't big fans of.Last night I had the Pesto ($28) and Amatriciana ($32) pastas. My friend and I loved both dishes, though the Amatriciana won out a bit in terms of being my favorite. Fresh fusilli pasta with tomato sauce, pecorino fossa & guanciale (kinda like an Italian classy bacon) made up this slightly superior red sauce dish. In the lesser but still great other pasta, the hand-crafted cavatelli pasta was topped with a delicious pesto Genovese sauce. NOTE: They also sell their ssauce! Good sized portion on both pasta dishes. When we dined in Friday night, their was a live saxophonist and pianist. Super cute vibes. One note we noticed on both times, was time to wrap things up was a bit slow. Ordering and receiving food was fast, completely normal speeds but then on both visits we ended up waiting 20+ minutes for the check. On both visits, we noticed it looked to be just one server handling all the tables. Wowza, impressive and she's so nice...but there definitely needs to be another server.Overall, love the food at Sogno Toscano and it's a great option for us pre & post movies at the Grove AMC. We still have so~ much on the menu to explore!

What an amazing experience! Definitely let this be your next stop if you're in the area. I came to the grove to hang out a little and passed by this new restaurant and let me tell you it was worth the stop. Greeted by the host, Elliott, and one of the managers Giselle. They take their customer experience seriously! Amazing convo and genuine people. If the food wasn't good (and it is), I'd stop by just to see them alone. Onto the food, WOW. The BEST prosciutto sandwich I've ever had. I think about it literally everyday since I've been. I'm counting the days until I get to go back again. Everyone was so ready for recommendations. They import their ingredients from Italy and you can tell. The quality of food is just otherworldly! (Italian to be specific). Can't wait to come back.

I was highly impressed by this restaurant. We sat down so that we had a place to feed our kid, and were very pleasantly surprised. Firstly, everything on their menu is imported from Italy, so none of that American made charcuterie that's lacking in flavor. The next thing that really surprised me was their bolognese ragu. They cook it according to the original ragu recipe, which does not include and tomato sauce. Its base is made from onions, carrots, celery, and flavored with beef stock. Utterly delicious. We also had the prosciutto focaccia sandwich which was light and refreshing. Prices are on the higher end, but worth it.

The Grove area is a super fancy high end indoor/outdoor shopping mall with plenty of restaurants PARKING - there is a pay to park lot right on the location. For 2 hours it was $15ENTRANCE - staff met us right away and sat us outside as requested. DECOR - very stellar with great views of the central fountain from the outdoor seatingSERVICE - very exceptional to say the least. Very helpful and attentive save the lunch rush which is hard for any waiterMENU - they have a lot of categories like salads, sandwiches, entrees etc. but within the care options are limited to like a half dozen APPETIZERS - we didn't order any so let me know for the next time. ENTREES - has the ciao de Pepe which was really tasty but the portion size was pretty small for $28Daughter had one of the sandwiches which she said was greatDESSERT - we passed on so I apologize VINO - mostly all Italian despite many good California ones in California? However their Cabernet was decent but maturing fast for 2022. Color starting to maroon but a nice dry and tobacco flavorPRICE - very expensive overall but you are paying for the better part of the Grove. For two people and two drinks and a good tip $125. So at least $$$$$$NOTE: just a short distance there is the lower rent district by the farmers market. There are food options there as well for the rest of us LOL

WE LOVED THIS RESTAURANT. We went to the Grove and decided to have dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an outstanding Italian restaurant. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc.I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had.Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.I highly recommend this restaurant.

The cutest cafe in the Grove. It's in the perfect area with some great scenery. The service was great and the staff very kind. They didn't have a great selection to try from their brunch menu. We got the loaded croissant and the egg sandwich. Although the ingredients were fresh both meals were just bland. I'd recommend for them to try to spice up the brunch menu.
