I've only been here when they have special events but I really like this place. It's an open rooftop bar/lounge/club with a pool during the summer but in the winter time they have covers for the whole place. I was so surprised since I was expecting it to be opened and the rain will get us. I don't think they serve food. Only drinks :)

Came here the day after Xmas. Such a fun atmosphere! Most people sat up on the roof deck but we sat inside because it was overcast and breezy. Lots of lights and decor and very festive!! Great burgers, had the classic and Ahi sandwich and Brie appetizer. Dina was our bartender and she took great care of us.

The Skylar is a classic staple Hollywood elite bar and it's always tricky to get in on those hit vibrant Friday and Saturday nights. My best experience here was when I went in my 20's with a fairly large group of 7-8 people. It is already hard to get in with just 2 but your chances go down significantly when you roll up with a group any larger than that. But we were young, eager, and had a desire to check out one of the coolest bars in town. So when we approach the front, the big tall bouncer sees the size of our group and sizes us up seeing that we're not yet the established high status clientele that they're used to catering but he could see our young energetic vibrancy we were exuding. So he says we're pretty full right now but I'll let you guys in if you can sing a song or chant. Being that I was in a sorority at UCLA I knew the UCLA Fight Song. So I excitedly raise my hand and say I could sing the chant. So I jump right into the following song of the "Sons of Westwood:""We are sons of Westwood.And we hail to blue and gold True to thee our hearts will be Our hearts will not grow old Then pumping my arms alternately shouting. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!"Since this song is a naturally uplifting song and I'd clearly demonstrated a dedication to a performance with the pumping of my arms and fist which also included the verses of the the entire song the bouncer looked at me with a smirk and said, "Alright, you guys can go in."I jumped up and down in joy and we walked right in feeling like we were walking on clouds. This place has that effect on you cause it's still the spot where you want to be.

Let's start off by saying partying anywhere in la will be probably pricey and a rip off. Where do I start? Got to the entrance the guy out front says the dress code is no shorts. So while he's explaining this to me, I had on shorts yes but nice ones. It is summer after all. Let's in a guy who looks like he was wearing his gym attire. Not shorts but baggy sweats. That guy is ok to go in. My friends were having a private event, they said it wasn't even close to being half full inside. ON A SATURDAY. And they wouldn't let me in when I was willing to spend money? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. seriously I hope whoever runs this place sees this review. Get fucked. I hope your venue closes. Would let people in looking sloppy but not me. In closing fuck this place will never go back and will tell everyone I know to do the same. FUCK THIS PLACE.

I love this bar and it's one of my favorite bars in LA! I've been to this bar many times and really love the atmosphere, the beautiful pool and the rooftop view! Also great customer service and friendly doorman and staff. I have a great memory of this place and it'll always be my favorite go to bar in LA!

Spot was a vibe. Downtempo and Lofi beats exude from the speakers. Thong clad rumps of hotel guests and LA's most stylish are frequently found here. A margarita will run you over $30 and a salad with protein? $60 frivolous spenders unite, you can easily blow $500 or more here in an afternoon with friends. Cheapest room rates are on Hotel Tonight, we'll be back as it heats up. Bartender was inexperienced and seemed flustered with only a handful of patrons at the bar. Expected better service for the price, but good city views and perfect placement on Sunset:

Street parking can be a chore, but fortunately I lucked out and found a meter spot out front. Watch those signs.Located above the pool. It's basically an open room w/ benches along the perimeter. Small bar. Small space. The vibe is chill. The staff is chill.Relatively tame on a Wednesday night. In comparison, the next door restaurant was a scene.It's not a bad place to hang out. But I preferred lounging by the pool.Maybe not a four star place, but three stars seems unfair.

A cute rooftop in the WeHo neighborhood. I went on a Sunday so it was really just me and my friend. Which was perfect in my case I could just take photos anywhere! It's a great place to come and lounge with your friends. I wish the skybar was sitting a little higher to catch better views of the city. Nevertheless, it's beautiful, and the drinks are delicious!

Very poor customer service .. Security is very rude!!! .. Will never attend another party here ticket was false advertisement .. Asked to pay more fees once inside.. Other customers told me their drinks were watered down and gross.. It was so boring I didn't even bother to go upstairs since I hear there was nothing up there but nasty drinks..Whole vibe is giving fake Hollywood I rather stay home then waste another trip coming here there is better establishments I've been to on Sunset with way better customer service that I've spent $500 or more with my family/ friends in the area this place is never again !!! Not even on a supposed free ticket promoters for the club please never contact me erased..
