One word for Shanghai Rose - YUM. If you're craving dim sum or non-greasy Chinese food, I would definitely check this place out. We went on a Sunday evening. It wasn't too crowded. Lots of families getting together, couples, friends. The restaurant is spacious, well lit and clean. We really liked the Shrimp Hargow, Crab and Shrimp dumpling, Honey walnut shrimp, Shrimp fried rice andMushu chicken. The Mongolian beef was flavorful but the texture was a bit softer than I'm used to. The pan fried noodles were a bit too crunchy for my taste. Will definitely come back to try the Lo Mein and other Chinese food offerings. The service was great. Overall, a great find for a dim sum / Chinese food fix.

Tony was very kind and went above and beyond. He made sure everything was tasty. He also allowed us to try the sweet and sour soup which is amazing!!!! Leo the manager was very kind and checked in on his several times. The hot tea has a ton of flavor. We had the Shanghai pork, wild crab and shrimp, chicken spinach, and finished off with Sesame balls. The beef chow mein with black pepper sauce very good. The look of the seating is very open and inviting. You can sit next to the window and enjoy the view.

Food is alright, but I found the dim sum we ordered to have a strange aftertaste. Mom thought it was tasty, but we would much prefer the authentic experience with the carts.Singaporean noodles were tasty tho, but def pricey.Free and plenty of parking, especially in the underground space.Won't be coming back.Review for 7/21/24

Service: 4.5/5Ambiance: 5/5Food: 2/5 or 3/5Came here to try the following: Xiao long bao soup dumplings, 4/5 - good, but I've had betterJumbo Shrimp Har Gow, 4/5 - same, good but I've had betterBeef rice roll, 1/5 - terrible! The beef tasted artificial! Crispy Crab and Shrimp Claw, 5/5 - very unique, would try again! Chicken Feet, 1/5 - tasted extremely oily and stale. Would not recommend Braised pork spare ribs, 2/5 - again, very greasy and not much pork. Mostly fat. Wish I liked this place more but sad it didn't work for me! Parking is extremely convenient. The beef, pork, and chicken dishes were quite disappointing although the location, ambiance, and service was pleasant. Having Jeni's ice cream afterwards was redeeming though :)

Went here again on Christmas, it's become a tradition for us to come here. They didn't have a long wait at lunch. We loved the orange chicken, egg flower soup and sesame balls the most. The broccoli and beef was also good!

Foods are great here. My favorites are walnut shrimp and shu mai. I would've given this place 5 stars but the foods from my last visit were disappointing. The bun was very sticky, the wrappers in rice noodles and shrimp hargow were thick and dry and calamari had an odor that we often can get from seafoods that are not fresh. Hopefully it was just that day the foods went wrong. My experience from previous visits was great, including the service.

This is a new location, as they moved a couple of blocks over from Ventura Blvd to the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Ventura. The new location is spacious, appealing and includes inside and outside seating!I love the all-day dim sum offerings here. Honestly, that's my biggest draw. Plenty of options, prices are a bit higher than the traditional but not too far off, and every dish has been so tasty. Service was efficient, polite and fast. No complaints there. Plenty of parking in the lot and underground. I saw a valet option, but didn't partake. I'd recommend: shrimp rice noodle, scallion pancake, fried dumplings, juicy soup dumplings, rice wrap, sautéed string beans, and chow mein. Good for groups, individuals, and for couples to share!

If you're looking for an authentic Asian dining experience in the Studio City area, this can do in a pinch. You'll find traditional dim sum dishes along with more westernized options as well. Not the best dim sum I've ever had but the non dim sum dishes were pretty solid. The fried rice and mapo tofu were the top choices for us.

The duck is still spectacular, whether it's the Beijing Duck or the Hong Kong roasted Duck. And of course the star of the place, the Dim Sum options, the Baked BBQ pork buns, the fried pork dumplings and the shrimp pot stickers are my favorites. The service is impeccable, they constantly recommended the most requested dishes of the place. The place is very nice, the balcony is very cozy, it's a shame they didn't have heaters outside as it was very cold.

I had to give it a new tryExcellent food this time!I ordered via grub hub: the Singaporean Style Vermicelli which is a dish made of thin rice noodles stir-fried with BBQ pork, shrimp, eggs, bean sprouts, onions, scallions and bell peppers finished with a touch of curry. I truly enjoy this tasty dish and would get it again for sure!I also chose the Seafood Chowfun Malaysian Style: delicious dish made with chowfun noodles and Shrimp, scallops and calamari, all stir fried with bean sprouts, green onions, scallions and eggs in a special Malaysian sauce.
