i went to shalom grill last night with my niece and nephew, and it was pretty good! the place is cute, not too fancy, but nice enough for a little family dinner. we ordered the hummus and pita to start, and oh my goodness, that hummus was delicious. creamy and smooth, just how i like it! the pita was fine, but it could've been a bit warmer, i think.i had the shawarma plate, and wow, it was really flavorful! the spices were perfect. the meat was a little greasy tho, not bad, just more than i'm used to. my nephew had the falafel, and he thought it was good, but he said it was a bit dry. i tried a bite and thought it was fine, but maybe i like my falafel a little drier than he does!the only thing that wasn't so great was the service. we had to wait quite a bit to get our drinks refilled, and they weren't even that busy. the staff was friendly, just seemed a little forgetful or distracted.the prices were pretty reasonable, especially for how much food we got. we all left with leftovers, which is always a nice bonus. overall, i'd give it 4 stars because of the slow service and that oily shawarma, but i'd still go back. it's a nice place for a casual dinner with family!

Haven't tried food yet.will update soon.Biggest issue with this place is the cashier who took out order and just couldn't be bothered.Was rude, rushed my son and just didn't want to be at work today, possibly ever.Bummed that I didn't tip because the cooks deserved a good tip. Smile dude, life is good, you have a job, and live in a great town.Hoping the food makes up for his nasty attitude.

Great restaurant but it is definitely a HIT OR MISS I usually order the schnitzel burger with pastrami Wow just typing that made myMouth water. The last time I ordered it, it came PERFECT. There are times I order it and it doesn't come out as good. However! The fries ALWAYS come great. I prefer the regular fries over the seasoned ones. Lastly I live near this place so I can imagine if you live far from this place, the food will probably come soggy. I've never actually been inside the restaurant, I have ALWAYS postmates and I think 3.5-4 is the perfect rating

Went there last night for fish tacos and falafel. Both were amazing. Hard to get a good falafel ball - these were crispy outside and soft and green on the inside. They also have a really nice bonus - free hot tea! How great after a nice dinner.... Service is great - they are very friends and get your food fast, the owner was there as well and he went out of his way to make sure we were getting good service including bringing us 2 cups of tea himself. I've been here many times before, but it seems like they are reinventing themselves and food is really good now. 2 other things I usually get - steak kabob / fried chicken sandwich - best kosher place for either of those two options. Ambiance is good - it's a pick up place - they have nice heaters outside which are nice on a summer night in LA. Will def. be back.
