My fiance and I enjoy going here for the price and quality of the meat. We ordered off the premium menu which gives us the option to get raw oysters and waygu sushi and of course we had to get them both and they were delicious! Also, the French fries NEVER miss, seriously every bite was crispy. Huge shout out to the ONE lady server. She really held it down and was very attentive. This is our third time eating here and she's always by herself, but that doesn't take away from how good her service is. The ambiance is chill, just radio music playing in the background. Ok one thing to note about the fire crab broth today is that it wasn't as flavorful as the previous times. I wasn't sure if it was just me but my fiance said the same thing. Aside from that everything else was 10/10 :)

Friday night date with family dinner. First thing I observed is the limited choice of meet. Considering this is AYCE, they have one beef option for meat. Unless you go for the premium for an extra $5. But the $38 regular AYCE dinner at other places will give you more beef choices. I will update later to review the quality of the meat and taste of the broth. The service, able to seat us easily, and location i will give them 4. For price i will give 3.5.

First time reviewer here! I had the pleasure of having Emily as our server and she took care of my friend and I very well. She encouraged us to start with the fries and they were crunchy and delicious. We moved onto our main course. I had the pork bone broth and beef soup and my friend had the spicy soup and pork bone broth. The meats we chose from their premium menu was the wagyu prime rib and toro (I might be misspelling that one). The toro was my favorite because it had just enough protein the fat ratio and it went well with both soups and was so tender! The premium menu also came with fresh oysters and a wagyu sashimi (this was my favorite of the night because it was slightly toasted and had a Smokey flavor profile). When my friend ordered the pineapple nigiri, Emily opened the bottle and served our first rounds with equal amount for each of us. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean and modern and very simply decorated. Would I come back? Not sure. This is not because of the service, it's because of the limited menu for the premium price. Would I recommend this establishment? Yes!

We went over 2 hours before closing. Impressed with the selection & price but since they were closing soon, there weren't enough seafood options available. They ran out of a lot of them, actually. Loved the soup bases though.

Fast service, OK meat quality. I got the sichuan broth but it was not flavorful at all. My cousin got the tonkatsu and it was a much better choice.

Summary: 2 stars for AYCE shabu and slow, inattentive service***My bf and I heard about the all you can eat shabu on weekdays, so we came for dinner on a Wednesday after 7pm. AYCE was priced at $37.99 per person and limited to 3 rounds of food orders. We paid ~$50 per person after tax and gratuity. Although I liked the layout of the restaurant, we were seated along a dim wall. The Kpop playing overhead was not too loud, but it was not the vibe for me. I kept laughing as people sang about how "salty and sweet" they are.SERVICE Although our server was nice, the overall speed of service was incredibly slow for the low volume of diners. One woman, who may have been the owner, seemed determined to not help our server manage the entire room. We waited 15-20 mins for service each time we needed something, from the start to finish of our dining experience. We twiddled our thumbs for a bit upon being seated. Finally, I swiped a menu from a neighboring table. We asked for water and put in our 1st order at the same time. When we asked for an AYCE order of vegetables, our server did not mention that we would already be receiving some. Luckily, we caught that ourselves and got the AYCE veggies canceled. After the 2nd round of food orders, we found ourselves again waiting 20 minutes to flag someone down. My bf wanted to leave at that point, so we asked for the check instead of a 3rd round.AYCE ITEMS ORDEREDMy favorite bites of the night were the tofu and kabocha simmered in my pork bone broth... The pork broth was good, not too salty, with shiitake mushrooms enhancing the flavor. My bf was disappointed in his Suki-Shabu-Dashi broth, which I thought was fine for hotpot. But he was hoping for a more concentrated sukiyaki base. - Beef toro. We wasted stomach space on two orders of beef. The quality was not as good as I had hoped. The beef was not evenly marbled, and the texture was slightly chewy when cooked. It had a hint of freezer flavor.- Pork shoulder. Surprisingly, the thin slices of pork were softer and more flavorful than the beef. I wish I had gotten more of this meat instead.- Rice was white rice mixed with the barest smattering of purple rice to extract its color. The texture was slightly overcooked, but still chewy.- Vegetables. Each person received a massive bowl of vegetable, tofu, fish cake, and noodle by default. I enjoyed the variety of nappa cabbage, spinach, broccoli, carrot, tofu, kabocha, and purple potato. However, there was an overabundance of romaine lettuce and noodle (instant ramen and udon) that unfortunately went to waste.- French fries. Crispy, but too salty for me. The sweet ketchup helped.

I love this hot pot spot. I go here often. Sometimes alone. The service is always on point. The ambiance is great for families + date night out + to go and enjoy a meal with friends. I usually get the beef belly and/ or the ribeye.I highly recommend this spot.

Sometimes, you just want hot pot on a hot day. This was our choice for that said hot day. This was my first time at Shabu Haru. We did come on a Saturday at 4PM, so the restaurant was empty. It makes sense since the temperature was 90 degrees that day. We were seated as soon as possible and helped immediately. We were offered the AYCE option and the al carte. There is a variety of soup bases for an additional price if you don't want that basic free broth. At first, I was scared that I wouldn't be full but that veggies bowl that came with the meat was huuuuge. Everything tasted so good and clean. The servers were attentive and checked up on us often. They made sure our broth wasn't running low to burn the pot or that our water was empty. Not sure if they overheard us talking about K-pop but that started playing as soon as we sat down. No complaints there, it was a vibe.My friend, who showed me this place, says that this she never really saw people when she dined here. She was hoping that she just came at an off time. I hope this business is doing alright. I wouldn't want this place to go out of business since I enjoyed it.

Solid hot pot/Shabu with big portions. Not AYCE but ordered the ribeye for two and it was huge. Sadly, we did not finish... The stove is shared between two people but the pot is partitioned so you can try different soups. Broth and dipping sauces were okay.

This is where mokkoji use to be. The place is small but has a good amount of seating. Came on a Tuesday night and was seated right away. My friend and I both ordered the waygu beef with pork bone tonkatsu broth. I ordered the reg size and my friend ordered the large. The broth was really good and flavorful. The portion of the meat was perfect for me. It comes with a mix of veggies. My fave part is it's ayce veggies. You can order more of the veggies that you like. It's very similar to mokkoji. I took the leftover broth home to eat the next day for lunch!! I love this place and will definitely come back again. Sadly they don't give you anything for a birthday. Also I thought the price was slightly higher than other places for Shabu but still i will come back.
