Came here as a party of 9-10 with reservation on a Saturday night. Note that there is a service fee for parties of more than 6. There is validated parking next to tall bank building. I had the bulgogi oven risotto, which was very good. I'm not sure why the concept of combing creamy risotto and sweet and tender bulgogi beef isn't a more popular option, but they do it perfectly here. There is seaweed mixed with the beef that also gives it further depth to the flavor. Also had the crab meat seafood pasta which was creamy, and had lots of fresh seafood. It included bread which seemed cheap at first, but then proved clutch when using it to soak up any remaining sauce. The service was exceptional here. I thought the delay in bringing out the food was pretty minor, about 15-20 minutes, but they brought out complimentary truffle and sweet potato fries for the minor inconvenience. Additionally, we originally ordered tequila shots all around, but they were kind enough to tell us the price of each shot before allowing us to finalize the order. I definitely would love to be back again soon!

Had a reservation for a party of 9 and was seated right away. We also parked in the lot behind the restaurant for less than $5, but if you're lucky enough, street parking is also an option. My boyfriend and I ordered Bulgogi Oven Risotto and Crab Meat Seafood Pasta. The Bulgogi Oven Risotto was very cheesy and creamy. The bulgogi had a great amount of sweetness and crispiness to each bite. It definitely helped with the creaminess of the risotto since it can be overwhelming. As for the Crab Meat Seafood Pasta, it was very creamy and flavorful. The sauce had a mild seafood flavor, and the pasta was al dente. They were very generous with the amount and variety of seafood. Though these two dishes were initially delicious, I felt overwhelmed and "heavy" with the thickness of the sauce by the end of it.Due to the restaurant running out of risotto for my friend, they provided us with complimentary sweet potato and truffle potato fries. We weren't expecting anything, but this gesture just shows how much they value customer service. The sweet potato fries were easy to eat and were crunchy. The truffle potatoes weren't crispy, but it did have a mild truffle flavor. Speaking of customer service, I appreciate our server coming back to tell us the cost of each tequila shots instead of just going through with our reckless order. Overall, I am OBSESSED WITH THE SERVICE. They were honest, attentive, and kind. It is also a perfect spot for a large party, date night, or any other occasion. It can get loud but it's not loud enough to the point where you're shouting across the table. They also have tall ceilings, gorgeous decorations, and comfortable seatings. Would love to be back!!

Drinks/Food - 4/5 - We got the watermelon soju, which was half a watermelon and full. It was great and not too much. We also ordered a few cocktails which weren't super notable but good. The pastas (creamy mentaiko and kimchi carbonara) were delightful. Price - $$$ - It's DTLA/Ktown pricing so be aware that some things are priced on the more "expensive" side for what it is. Service - 3/5 - The servers were pretty fast with our orders, but they weren't really around. I appreciate the privacy but it was a bit hard to flag someone down when you needed something. Despite being a bit busy, it took quite a bit of effort to get service. Ambiance - 5/5 - The decor and atmosphere created by the establishment is definitely tasteful. I would say it is super intimate and fitting the "prohibition era's speakeasy" theme. The bar and restaurant is definitely a good place to take pictures and dress up a bit.Location - 1/5 - There is not a lot of parking, or you have to park nearby and walk. Just be aware for planning. ____________________**Note: Location rating does not affect yelp review, this is just for informative purposes of other patrons only.

We had a great first-time experience. The service was good, and the interior had a nice vibe. I especially enjoyed the kimchi fried rice, which was my favorite dish. The other dishes were decent as well. Overall, it's a delightful Korean fusion cuisine.

It's always such a treat discovering little gems in Ktown, and @seoulsalon_la is definitely worth checking out! This 1920s themed retro lounge whisks you away from the busy traffic of Ktown into an intimate, romantic setting that's perfect if you want a bit more of a laid back and classy night out. Their menu features well-executed Korean fusion dishes (especially for a pocha!), such as rose tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, and Army Stew, as well as an impressive selection of signature cocktails, sojus, and makgeolli. Service was also very friendly, attentive and efficient, even with only two employees working the floor. Definitely check them out for a date or relaxing dinner with friends! I wanted the duck. I think the drink is called okbodan. It was strong but also tasted like juiceWe wanted fries and saw on the menu that they only had truffle fries or sweet potato fries.. they were nice and let us order regular fries, which we devoured. The garlic popcorn chicken tastes more like boneless soy garlic. Still yummy. Kimchi pasta was good, we used it for thenpork belly whcih didnt have too much flavor by itself. You would need to dunk it into the sauce they gave. Some of us liked the squid and some didn't. Service was great. I lowered the Rating down from 5 to 4 because of the bathroom. The bathroom lights are red. I almost had a heartattack going into the womans washroom by myself. I thought i was in some horror movie. But then it was October when i visited so I'm not sure if the lights are usually a normal color outside of october.

Came here on a date with my partner, and loved the booth seating! It felt intimate yet special and fun to be out. For the food alone in taste, I give 5 ! The sauces and dips were fantastic! They gave plenty to get full, but the seafood and calamari was a little smaller in the protein quantity than I would've liked. However, the prices were very reasonable! I have to say the service was absolutely wonderful. Our server certainly personalized our experience. We will be back to try even more!

Seoul Salon has a free validated private parking lot in the back, which was convenient especially in an area like Ktown. The restaurant has a fancy, dark mood atmosphere, fancy for hang out with people and date nights. The Korean fusion food here was fantastic. The drinks were delicious. I got to collect the duck from my drink. The service was good. I have no complaints. I would recommend coming here if you have guests that you want to bring to a more formal thing.

Love love the atmosphere and decoration and vibe. Very WW2 early korea vibes. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to atmosphere. Ordered the whole fried chicken, only 4 average size pieces and no flavor, no salt no sauce no nothing. You have to add it yourself. Seafood Cream carbonara was just that, cream. Very very thick and unassuming and just too much cream and not other flavors. Seafood inside was sad and not fresh. Pork belly skewers were tough and overcooked. Yuzu salad was ok. Overall the food was very mid and basic and nothing in particular stood out. I will come back for drinks only and not for the food.

If you like that industrial revolution vibe but Korean then Seoul Salon is your place to be. Come and enjoy some Korean Italian fusion and cry all over again while they play Mr. Sunshine on the TVs. Again, ambiance is real nice, feels like you're in a different world compared to the chaos of ktown right outside. The menu's not particularly huge but it's got the staples. Happy hour is maybe like $2-4 off the regular prices but hey, can't be all too bad if you come between 5-7pm. Rose tteokbokki is nice and creamy with a nice helping of fried dumplings. Can't go wrong with that ever. The brisket yuzu salad was a nice way to have more protein but feel healthy with the salad, it was actually a pretty nice addition to our meal. The crab meat seafood pasta was probably my favorite since it's got everything I love in pasta. Creamy, cheesy, crabby, seafoody. Enough said.Truffle fries are, well, truffle fries. We got these cause it was part of the happy hour menu. Don't worry, I didn't forget the drinks either. They whip up some nice cocktails so if you want to add one to your meal, it's worthwhile I'd say. This is worth a stop for at least the ambiance. The food is good but certainly not a specialty or expert in any particular dish but for ktown, it's still pretty good.
