We have been to this restaurant for years and they used to have combo sets for you to select from the menu. We came today and found out that this place now has all you can eat shabu shabu!!! Amazing quality of meat and a soup base excellent. Service is very good too!!Highly recommend to anyone who likes AYCE hot pot experience!!

Probably won't return: the marinaded beef is bit too sweet. (Is there one Korean restaurant that doesn't serve beef marinaded on the sweet side?)We walked in at 12 noon and it was all Korean speakers, which tells me that they're authentic Simple and functional decor, especially like the ceiling design. The serve sucks on her teeth while taking our order. The bbq plate doesn't fit well - so be careful, don't put pressure on it. The sides: the green salad is wonderful; kimchi is ok; the little chopped side is the best. It's the first time seeing macaroni in a Korean restaurant. The bill came before we finished our meal. The hook in the bathroom stall is too high for shorty like me -:) Parking on site.

OG spot in Ktown. Korean shabu shabu is different and I'm here for it. Simple and original, clean and bright with comfortable booth seating. Service was prompt and friendly. We had the shabu shabu combo, the flavors are light, natural and fresh. The quality of the meat was decent and the sauce was tasty. Rice porridge is made to complete the shabu combo. All the flavors from the vegetables, meat, and broth are mixed with rice and egg that creates a soft velvety rice porridge, so delicious! Definitely comforting and satisfying, perfect for this weather.

The quality of shabu went down.Since they changed AYCE, they bring decent quality meats in the beginning and then we ordered more briskets and 70 percent fat covered briskets came after. I am not kidding. The manager whispered something after I ordered more and then meats came long time later. This is not what I expected from old Seoul garden was. Never going again.

I've been coming to Seoul Garden periodically for as long as I can remember since I was a child, and I recently came back here for the first time since the pandemic because I was finally craving some Korean style shabu shabu again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they completely remodeled the interior...not sure how long ago they did this, but it's so much nicer now than what I remember from the last time I was here. We ordered the Australian Wagyu and the meat was definitely great quality...perfectly marbled and fresh. The meat comes with an assortment of vegetables that you can cook shabu style can a broth. If you're not sure what to do, the servers came help you with cooking if you ask them, or give you tips on what to do. They also give you various banchan which can be refilled! After you finish the meat and the veggies, they cook udon and make you a rice porridge in the leftover broth. The rice porridge might actually be my favorite part...absolutely delish! Overall we had an excellent and filling meal as expected. Seoul Garden is the go-to and OG for Korean style shabu shabu...there's a reason it's been around for so long. The quality is always so consistent and I've always left stuffed and satisfied.

Came back recently to enjoy another great meal at Seoul Garden. Without fail, I always order the Jing Gee Skhan (shabu) which is their signature menu item. Though the sweet servers will help put the veggies and meet into the broth the first time, we got to dip at our pace afterwards. When all the veggies and meat are in the broth, the udon noodles are next. After the noodles, come the porridge, which I grow even fonder of as I get older. It's such a simple 5 ingredient dish: leftover broth, rice, egg, geem (dried seaweed laver), and sesame oil but it's such a warm and nostalgic way to finish the meal. Such an underrated restaurant, I still love coming here even after all these years!

Wanted hotpot/shabu but didn't want AYCE and this place serves fixed portions. First time having Korean style hotpot, there is only one broth which was light and tasty, with a strong perilla leaf flavor.Tried the American Wagyu and Brisket plates, the wagyu was noticeably more tender than the brisket and was therefore more enjoyable to eat.I also have never been to a place where the shabu vegetables and sliced thinly, and I honestly enjoyed it in this style. After shabu, they make an udon soup for you and then finish off with a congee porridge. It was a fun experience and the servers were so kind. Was able to easily find street parking for free on a weekend evening and the place is nicely lit inside.

Ambiance: it's a standalone establishment located in the east side of Ktown, private parking lot and valet parking cost $3Service: very rushed and not patient, pushed few times to place the order when just seated barley got the chance to check their menu on the wall, they helped you to cook, however, never refilled waterFood: they have hot pot, bbq, and sushi Banchan - ** limited kinds, kimchi is too salty, the squid and radish one was good Chuck Steak - ** terrible quality, condensed fragile meat, got broken easily once in the pot Pork Shoulder - **** tender and chewy, recommend SG Vegetable Mix - *** Napa Cabbage, Perilla Leaves, Green Onions, Kamaboko, White Mushrooms, Kabocha Squash, and Tofu, cabbage chopped into tiny pieces Udon Noodles - *** average Korean Rice Porridge - **** Rice, Egg, Nori, and Sesame Oil, recommend Price: moderate portions and lackluster quality, overpriced, expect $40+ per person

Location: corner of a busy street with $3 valet parking. My wife has been craving Korean style hot pot so we made the trek to Koreatown. It's my first time experiencing Korean style and it's way different than the Chinese and Japanese style. There is no choice in the broth and I can describe it as a light, faint dashi broth. Veggies are cut to bite size and the main flavor comes from the dipping ponzu sauce. The banchan was good but the waitresses didn't look interested in refilling ours. Towards the end of the meal, the waitress will make your leftover soup into a porridge. Overall, I thought it was quite pricey for what the meal was. Quality of meat doesn't match the price point. I am more of a fan of the Chinese/Japanese style of hot pot.

$3 valet. Light comfort Korean hot pot, kbbq and other dishes. Our friend loves duck shabu. If you like quality, light foods/lots of veggies, but still want to leave just filled enough, this is the place. You won't be overly stuffed. The staff may encourage more than the portion size we needed since we were going light. Banchans were delicious!! They can be strict with the salad refill that is only refilled as long as you have meat still on the grill. Both kbbq and shabu comes with rice mixtures into it after. Kbbq will include a fried rice cooker on the hot plate after, and a porridge mixture in the shabu after. This is typical for from what I know about OG Korean restaurants....I don't see this much anymore within modern and/or westernized restaurants. Family restaurant.
