Sara the Wine Bar is such a great little spot! It was our first time visiting, and we made it to catch their happy hour. We ordered the margarita pizza and meatballs, and both were delicious, definitely some of the best we've had in a while. We also tried the tiramisu for dessert, and it was amazing. The vibe here is cozy and welcoming, making it feel like a hidden gem. The service was great and everyone was friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Food: We ordered a couple pizzas, all which came out quickly and fresh. They had a thin, light crust and tasted great.Wine: Small, but well curated wine list and affordable pricesAmbiance: Nice ambiance. Only street parking so be wary of that. A bit small but intimate so make sure to call in advance.Service: Now this is where I had an issue. I never expect over the top service. They did come to frequently check on us which was really nice. However, I felt a little uncomfortable because it felt like I was being ignored when both my friend and I were trying to make small talk. I really did enjoy the food and drinks and wanted to compliment them but the person serving us would only look at and address my friend. I frequent many places that are curt and quick so I have no problem with that, but ignoring me felt singled out. Unfortunately, I have been wanting to try this place for a while but do not think I would be going back and just want to share my personal experience to set expectations.

Wine list wasn't overwhelming. I enjoyed the variety they had and pricing was fair. The meatballs were tasty, I enjoyed the red sauce with them and bread. The butternut squash ravioli was good, but I prefer it to be more creamy and heavy. The portion was also small. The fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms was my favorite dish of the night. The mushroom flavor was there but not overwhelming. Service was quick and attentive. The wine bar has a nicely warm lit ambiance with small table seating and wine bar. A little loud with conversations and tables close together. I think overall, this place does wine good and food good bringing it to 4 stars. If it was only based on food, perhaps a 3 star.

Delicious restaurant located right on Sepulveda Boulevard.Parking is limited to street options, but the ambiance inside the restaurant is worth any parking difficulties. Dark and cozy with tea lights and a small, intimate sitting area. The food was delicious! I will note that the portions are somewhat small (especially for the price), BUT everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the bruschetta, and I loved the spaghetti marinara that I ordered. Our server was incredibly kind and very attentive from start to finish.Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here, and we look forward to coming back to enjoy the wine, which we didn't try during this visit!

This is a place that's worth returning to. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the pastas were all delicious and the gnocchi just melts in your mouth. They have a nice selection of wines to complement the menu but you can also bring in your own (for a fee.) The restaurant is small and feels like a trendy mom/pop restaurant.

Ambiance - music wasn't playing that night for some reason. It's a small intimate space. Can get a little rowdy. Good lighting and decor though! Service - great service. Host was very welcoming and so were the servers. You can tell they're very proud of this place. Food - pizza was amazing!!! I thought the cacio e Pepe could've been a little more creamier but it was still super good.

The best happy hour! The wines are on special and the flatbreads are so good!! I love how thin they cook the pizzas! Their meatballs are also so yummy!! I ordered the pasta for an entree and really enjoyed the simple pasta primavera. Everything was super flavorful and seemed authentic to me! The man who took care of us really cared about the restaurant and was very helpful. I highly recommend them for their dishes and happy hour! There's also parking on the side of the building which is helpful. Nice and cute little spot that's cozy and clean! We will be back!

The food. Homemade pasta i think. Nice appetizers. Very noisy place with bad parking. I think people come for the service. The food. The wine. It's worth the wait. Worth jaywalking across Sepulveda. Shhhhh....

I had the loveliest little experience at Sara The Wine Bar and highly recommend that everyone make a visit because I guarantee you will too. Walked into the cute and charming wine bar that was dimly lit and had an intimate vibe. It was cozy and had a neighborhood feel to it. We sat atop the bar seating and were approached and greeted by the server pretty quickly. Since we were on a time crunch, we got right down to business with ordering a glass of their house red wine which happened to be Mezzadro that night (not sure if they rotate?) Pretty soon thereafter, I ordered the Pizza Schiacciata from the pizza flatbread section after Sara herself recommended it! It was light, airy, crispy, and flavorful! I recommend it so long as you're not super hungry since it wasn't satiating. Our server checked on us multiple times throughout our dinner and was friendly and kind. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant which is a win itself. The pricing is all very decent and reasonable. We even bought a bottle of the house wine to-go! Already recommended this spot to a couple others and will continue to do so.

So I really wanted to love this spot. I can't tell you I loved it 100% but I can tell you I love it enough and sometimes enough is just enough. I ordered the lasagna and it was OK. Service was good and I really liked like the dark ambient vibe. So what I have to tell you is that you're just gonna have to go and try it for yourself because... I had just a so-so experience. They had a decent wine list so my glass of wine and my lasagna was OK. I'll have to go back again and maybe try something else or maybe go with a friend I don't know... but this will be like experience was kinda like that it wasn't great, and it wasn't bad... I encourage you to form your own opinion and go check it out cause I'm gonna go back
