I really enjoyed the food at Samosa House. I hosted a dinner party at my house and needed to supplement with some yummy vegetarian dishes. The butter "chicken" is out of this world. I will definitely be ordering that over and over. The cauliflower was very good as well. I'm not a fan of jack fruit but if you are, you'll enjoy the Jack fruit curry. The sauces are delicious (it's the Jack fruit consistency that just doesn't do it for me). The rice is delicious (get a big one so you can keep eating the delicious butter "chicken" curry sauce all week. I enjoyed the potato samosa too. All very very good. Service was very nice and offered for me to try items I was indecisive about. Ambiance at this location is very very casual. It feels like a lunch place. I will definitely pickup to go again and future dinners.

I feel this place has gone downhill. This is for my brown brethren and sisters. Just wanted a small snack and I always want this to be good. But then it just kinda fails. Who puts Chana masala/chhole on bhel puri? Like what?I mean at least try to make an authentic dish. It's just hella soggy mess.

Quick and delicious vegan joint. Two combo plates and two samosas came out to $35, very filling and very tasty. The garlic naan comes out piping hot and fresh. Will def recommend!

If you are looking for authenticity, it's a far stretch. It's an intro into Indian Food with some creative alternative meat choices. On the less spicy end of the spectrum. The samosa is generic, the "butter chicken" was the better tasting one. Aloo Gobi was not what I was expecting and overcooked rubbish. The lentil soup was not my favorite. Service is mediocre at best. Not even a smile or welcome but it was fast enough. If you've never tried Indian and are scared of spice, this is a semi decent spot. Ambience is just colorful enough to not hurt the eyes. If you're an Indian food snob or connoisseur I really don't recommend this place because it just disappoints.

We have gotten this for takeout 3 times in the past month and have loved it! The dishes are all very flavorful and they give you plenty of food. I am not vegetarian but still enjoy this place very much (particularly the smoky eggplant dish).

Vegetarian focused Indian spot with healthy curries and stews. Came here for dinner with a friend and split a 2 entree combo which came with your choice of bread (we got garlic naan) and soup or yogurt. There's some indoor seating available (no outdoor spots). You pay at the counter after ordering and then seat yourself. Note that there are multiple locations of Samosa House (with two in Culver) - this is the one without an adjoining grocery store. It's a quiet spot and most people opted for takeout. I like the mango lassi here. Overall, a solid option for when you're trying to be meatless and pay a reasonable cost.

You can select a two or three combo plate that includes rice and bread of your choice. Everything is already made and placed in heaters to be scooped up onto your plate.Surprisingly, the vegan options weren't clearly marked and I mistakenly ordered a veggie chicken dish that ended up not being vegan. It was a mistake on my end to not ask, but I falsely assumed most items would be okay, but definitely double check to make sure.I went with their Daal, Jackfruit Curry, and another dish that I honestly can't remember because the food was fairly plain and basic. I appreciated having the veg options but nothing really blew me away or left a memorable mark for me.My friend seemed to love the samosas so I likely messed up by not ordering the restaurant's namesake. Next time!

This was our absolute favorite 10 years ago! We'd have lunch here three times a week. We visited on a Sunday 2/11 4pm (2 people in the restaurant). The samosas were still amazing! The roasted cauliflower is still the best. But the chicken meatballs were so hard and dry, the garlic naan tasted like a cold, but burnt pita with almost no garlic. I thought I could save it with the raita but it tasted like it was about to spoil. I hope it was just a bad day.

Damn, okay, food but the attitude!Kid takes Tae Kwon Do next door 3 times a week, and they treat us like shit.Ok, if the service was nice, at least once a week. Now, maybe once a month of that!Good for them that the food is okay for repeat customers but not me.I'll come every once in a while when I'm starving.I usually go 3 blocks away on Venice and Motor, 25 years strong. And 2 Indian spots at that corner, too! LOL
