I loved San Woo when they had one in Rowland Heights Then it closed. This is the first time I try at this place. First of all, the restaurant is clean, well lit and moderately spacious. They closed off about 25% of the area and use it as storage. Service is great. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Foods are almost the same as the other Sam Woo. But not as complete. I was looking for MEI CAI KOU ROU - STEAMED PORK BELLY W/ PRESERVED VEGETABLES ; they do not have it. Fried oysters, they do not have it too. The one that they do have, all taste delicious. The Cteamy corn soup with fish maws has too much corn starch. Almost gluey. Gluey is not the same as creamy. Otherwise, everything is great.

Sam Woo BBQ is a go-to spot for classic Cantonese BBQ, and it delivers exactly what you'd expect. The roast duck, char siu, and crispy pork are all standouts--perfectly seasoned and cooked to a tender, flavorful finish. The meats are rich in flavor, with just the right amount of crispy skin on the duck and the char siu offering a nice balance of sweetness and savory. The atmosphere is no-frills, and the service is quick but can feel a bit rushed, especially when it's busy. This is more of a casual, no-nonsense place for getting your BBQ fix rather than a place to linger over a meal.Overall, Sam Woo BBQ is reliable for anyone craving hearty, flavorful Cantonese-style BBQ. It's not the fanciest spot, but the food is solid, and it's a great choice for a satisfying meal.

They started serving breakfast, so we decided to try them out. We usually come for their BBQ to go and more or less, it's consistently good. Their breakfast on the other hand, wasn't as great as I was hoping. We ordered to go and when paying, we were told to pay in cash since the credit card machine doesn't work in the morning. Ok.... The staff never told us it's a common occurrence. Luckily, we did have cash on hand, but most of the time, I'm all credit cards and ApplePay. Food took a while to come out even though there weren't a lot of people waiting or dining in. What was ordered:- Beef Porridge (comes with Chinese Donut, Rice Noodle Roll, Soy Sauce Chow Mein, Drink)- Pan Fried Chicken Steak (comes with Corn, Ham, Egg, Toast, Drink)Overall, the food was very bland. I wasn't really a fan of any of them. Price wise, it's pretty decent since you get a good amount of food, but I found the taste to be a bit lacking. Credit cards would be accepted if the machine works, so go at your own risk, or bring backup cash.

It's been quite a long time since I've been to Sam Woo. This is my first time coming to this location. I had a large party (9) and didn't make reservations ahead of time. Luckily, this place did not need reservations. They have a quick takeout section on the side and dine in on the other side. We got here around 6pm Sunday, and there weren't really customers dining in. The pace did picked up while we were there though. The food came out delicious. The presentation was good, and the quality was good. The portion of the food seems a bit small. We did order a lot of dishes, so we were full at the end. My favorite dish was probably the roast pork, fish, and the green beans. Honestly, I enjoyed all the dishes. Service was quick. They have their own parking lot. The ambiance was good too. When you're looking for a classic Chinese sit down for a family outing, this is a good choice. This location definitely taste better than Cerritos location.

Sam Woo BBQ is a classic Cantonese BBQ institution. If you are in search of tasty Cantonese dishes, this is the spot. I grew up eating at Sam Woo and I have great memories from when my family would go to a Sam Woo after a road trip.Double Delicacy on Rice: This dish is 50-50 BBQ pork and roast duck. This is from the meat hanging in the display case at the front. The BBQ Pork (char siu) is thick and meaty, plump and tender, with a nice glaze. The roast duck is rich and seasoned with five spice powder. Cabbage on the side provides a nicely balanced meal.Wonton Noodle Soup with BBQ Pork: The wontons are plump and the wrappers are delicate. The pork fillings have plenty of fresh tender shrimp. On the first bite, the fragrant sesame oil flavor shines through. There are also crunchy little sesame seed bits in the filling. The egg noodles are perfectly thin, firm, and wiry. The BBQ pork is tender and tasty. The broth has a great balance between pork and seafood flavors.Dining area: The interior is modern with comfy booths and gold walls. Parking: The Lucky Plaza lot is large but swarming with circling cars.

Classics Cantonese food options. U like that this location opens early at 8 am and allows me to pick up food before work. Many of the places that sell Cantonese Bbq open at 10 am. There is also plenty of free parking

On a Sunday morning in Late July, my sister and I came here with our mother to eat congee Breakfast deal $12.99. The servers are nice and speak English and Cantonese. When we first arrived, we were told cash only because the credit card system was down. My mother got century egg pork congee, 2 sides and coffee. I got the roast duck wonton noodle soup, sister got a slice of ham, toast, egg. with chicken steak. Too bad no refills on lemon ice tea. The ambience was nice and the tables looked clean. The congee was thick and so good. I enjoyed my roast duck wonton noodle soup. They have the best breakfast value. I would go back to try lunch items.

This is the cleanest and most spacious Sam Woo in SGV. The food is delicious and service is very friendly.Love their breakfast specials. See attached menu. The shrimp won tons have a nice crunchy texture, better than plain pork won tons. The beef stew is well cooked, tender and flavorful. Portion is huge. The BBQ duck, pork, and hot food section are all delicious!

The old Sam woo at the 99 ranch market closed down. Now there's this one by the McDonald's. Parking is quite a struggle. All free parking but shared with other businesses in the plaza. No photos allowed but I took one before I saw the sign. Have been visiting this place frequently to satisfy my meat cravings. A whole salt or soy sauce chicken is $27, half is $14.50. Bbq pork is $14.99/lb plus tax. You can ask them to choose a slice with more or less fat. I love watching their chopping skills, so satisfying. I really like eating crunchy mildly spicy intestines. Yum. And of course the hanging ducks and pig. You need to spend a minimum of ($15?) to use credit card. You can also do sit down dining.
