Saltie Girl

Finally came around to try out the go-to seafood establishment, Saltie Girl. Not being the biggest seafood fan, I still really enjoyed the food. They have such a large variety of seafood, you can pick and choose your preferences. Cocktails: Lychee & Prickly Rose I can highly recommend the: - Steak Tartare - Persian Cucumbers - Scallops - Tuna (ALBACORE LOINS IN TOMATO SAUCE on the tin list) I could personally go without the fried squash blossoms. Dessert: Pistachio Tiramisu cake. 7/10. It was decent!

I came here a late lunch on a Sunday with a friend and we opted to sit outside on a warm winter day. Free parking in the back as this is part of sunset plaza made the experience that much better lol. We came here for the lobster roll and you have the option for it to be served warm and cold. We got it warm and it was absolutely delish. The lobster was buttery and so juicy. The bread was toasted to perfection, one bite and it flakes so softly in your mouth. Make sure to squeeze that lemon all over for some tanginess. You had the option for your side between chips, salads, or fries. We got the house-made salt and vinegar chips and it was yummy! Definitely recommend the warm version (but cold could be just as good).We also ordered the clam chowder, which they split into two bowls for us. It is more of a watery consistency than traditional chowders I've tried, but the flavor is there. You know it's good when it tastes like the ocean. I enjoyed the toppings inside like fried clam, fresh clam, and potatoes. Lastly, we got an order of traditional fish and chips. We were stuffed by the time this came but the fish was fried and seasoned really good. A bit salty, but the halibut was very fresh. I like that the fried batter shell was a thin layer and the fish is the main character. Great with the tartar sauce. The fries were whatever.It is a bit expensive here considering the location and seafood. We spent $100+ for the two of us. However, the food was really good. Service was nice and the decor/ambience of the restaurant was very cute as expected in weho. Worth a seafood treat every now and then!

Love the tin fish options here! And such a cute restaurant with wonderful service. Definitely a very good compliment to a bottle of wine!The bar is really cute too! And free parking behind the restaurant, can't beat that!

Ambiance was amazing, a very beautiful decorated space! I also loved that there's a parking lot in the back with free self parking. The service was so attentive, we never had to flag someone down to refill water or anything. I enjoyed how knowledgeable the water was on the seafood options as well. He made some great reccs! As for the food, I would say it is solid! Very fresh seafood, sometimes lacking in depth of flavor. I very much enjoyed the crudo and the lobster roll! The tiramisu dessert was also a hit. Overall, I wouldn't came back on my own, but definitely with a group of people.

Had a lovely time here for dinner! Cute dim lit ambiance with aquatic inspired decor. Nice vibe for date night or link up with friends. The Prickly Rose drink was delish! The food was equally pleasing, I had the sardines in spicy tomato sauce & moule frites and my friend had the lobster diavolo dish which she loved! The chocolate chip cookie for dessert was yummy as well. Probably best of all, there's ample free parking in the back---a rare treat in this part of town! Definitely recommend!

Highlights: clam chowder, moules frites, lobstet roll, lobster pastaLocated right across from the Oppenheim Group (Selling Sunset fans, you know!), this seafood gem in West Hollywood is a must-visit. The place has the cutest, coziest interior, with a lovely patio that gives off the perfect Friday night vibes, especially for a girls' night out.The seafood was incredibly fresh, just as I had heard, and every dish was perfectly seasoned--not too salty, just right. The lobster roll and mussels were absolute standouts! I can't wait to come back and try their weekend brunch.

My very first time here at the former Wahlburger location on Sunset plaza. We sat at and prefer the bar area. Bartender was very attentive and helpful with the menu. My new fave is the Niçoise salad that comes deconstructed which I prefer. Really classy beautiful decor with outdoor covered dining as well.

I thought it was courageous when seafood-centric Saltie Girl opened in 2022 very close to another seafood mecca, Connie and Ted's. But Saltie Girl, which first opened in Boston, has a more refined vibe and décor; the interior is yacht-like and the outdoor patio is gorgeous, even though you're facing busy Sunset Blvd. They serve lunch, late afternoon, dinner and weekend brunch menus, have an extensive tinned fish selection, and most of their food preparations are more complex than Connie's "simply grilled" or upscale seafood-shack versions. Parking is free in the Sunset Plaza lots behind or across the street.Although I would have like to have tried one of their seafood towers, tinned selections or fried Ipswich clams, I had my eye on their lobster roll and their lobster pasta, which was bucatini with summer corn and tomatoes. I also ordered the ricotta-filled fried squash blossoms. I chose the warm lobster roll, served with house-made salt and vinegar chips. Everything was delish and ample, I had leftover pasta. No room for dessert, but maybe next time.

I'll be honest that I was in two minds about trying Saltie Girl and whether it was going to be just another Instagram friendly restaurant that didn't follow through with good food etc. My friend and I had a booking on Saturday for lunch, we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated on the heated patio (perfect and not too hot). Even being right on the busy Sunset Strip it didn't ever feel like we the noise from the street was too much.Our server came and talked us through the menu before ordering and we went with a mix of oysters, Alaskan crab legs, LA salad and the lobster roll. I loved the accoutrements that came with the oysters - which were fresh and delicious. The LA salad was incredible and so more-ish and the lobster roll came with a perfect amount of warmed lobster and tasty house made salt and vinegar chips. They also had an Albariño by the glass on their wine menu which is always a win in my books. All up it was ~$200 for the meal, which is a little on the higher side, but worth it for the quality of the seafood and meal.

Wow in the short time Saltie Girl has been open in LA they've quickly become known for their lobster roll and now I know why! A traditional New England bun absolutely stuffed with delicious, warm, fresh lobster. I have always loved the claw meat, and they did not skimp on it. My only regret was eating it too quickly. Best lobster I have had on the west coast, of course this originally Boston-based restaurant has it in the bag. Their fries were good, but the salt and vinegar homemade chips were even better. Ordered the burrata and caviar which was really good too. Very liberal use of the olive oil which may have taken away from the mild flavor of the burrata but no complains from me. The "strawberry" tequila drink was delicious as well. Everything came out very quickly and our waitress was great and very helpful for four first time visitors. Can't wait to come back again
