This place has a nice ambiance but that's it. It feels like a warm house.BUT:All salads are $20 and come with no protein.All pastas are $40-60. All mains are $40-60. And for what?! The flavors of the pasta were FINE. This clam pasta was overrun with salty capers. I need to douse it in cheese to make it feel edible. It's not worth it. There are similar ambiance's you can get for better food.Carrots were plain. Bread wasn't even good. Dense and heavy.

This is a lowkey fancy Italian restaurant that places much thought into the customer experience. Beautiful semi-sheer curtains instead of walls, handwritten menus, servers who genuinely care, food that tantalizes the tastebuds, and a mellow ambiance that is full of life.Let me tell you: this fare was absolutely DIVINE! I was immediately sat down with a warm plate of toasted bread that was well-seasoned. The simple side of olive oil was surprisingly prominent and complimented the bread. The server offered me a non-alcoholic drink, with notes of pear and fennel, called Secret Garden since I can't drink (it was not on the menu); it had a floral, herbaceous, and citrusy taste. The lobster alla vodka has very generous portions of meat that includes crab. The sauce was creamy, slightly tangy, and bursting with flavor. Noodles were cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was light and fluffy, and a perfect way to end the meal.Only con is that it's cash only so come with a good amount.Summary: If you're looking for good food and good vibes, this is your place. It's perfect for a date night, girls night out, and "me date". They're only here until June so come soon!

You feel like home when you dine at Sal's. The staff is so warm, inviting and super attentive. Sal's might be my new favorite Italian restaurant in LA. I know this is just a pop-up but I heard they are coming back in the Fall. Every dish that came out was delicious and kept you wanting more. They give you endless bread to keep dipping all the yummy sauces. It's cash only but if you really did forget cash, you can always come back the next day. That's trust. There is no other restaurant in LA that makes you feel like you're eating at home. Love it!

This place is 10 stars!!! I almost want to gate keep this hidden gem to myself... but I won't :P The minute you walk in, you feel so welcomed and right at home. This is the type of restaurant we are missing in LA. The food, people and ambience are EXTRAORDINARY. Can't explain the energy here, you just need to experience it. They're in town 8 months out of the year and spend their summer in Provincetown. Siobhan and Sam are the best hostesses!! You've officially got a regular at Sal's ;) CASH ONLY!!

The best experience i've ever had a restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. I haven't been able to eat anything without wishing it was from Sal's since I came here. Sam is a great server and the ambiance is really beautiful.

Hands down the best restaurant I have very ate at. The staff is incredible and the food is exceptional. I recommend it to everyone. You have to try.
