The sandwich itself is delicious however service is non-existent. The owner seemed almost annoyed we were there ordering like really??? No acknowledgment whatsoever. We had zero interaction. She literally just took our order and that was it.

If you're looking for a mom and pop grocery store / sandwich spot, Sahags takes you out of LA and into Armenia. We tried the Basturma sandwich which is a aircured meat sandwich with lots of pickled items on the side for 10 dollars. It was good, but very much a snack. It was great to try an Armenia version of a cold cut sandwich but for the price I was hoping for more fillings. I loved the texture of the bread. Only in LA could you go from Thaitown to Little Armenia to a Vietnamese Coffeeshop within a mile of each other.

I went to Sahag's for some fun new sandwiches to bring to the Hollywood Bowl and was very much pleased. We tried the basturma and soujouk sandwiches. Even though the place is named for their basturma, which was good, it was the spicy and salty soujouk who was the real Dudamel who stole the show. When you come you have to be very direct about what you want. When I came in no one was behind the counter and three ladies just stared at me until I asked about their sandwiches.

Found this place on instagram and it did not disappoint! The ambiance feels a lot like home if you're middle eastern. They have great selections in their mini market. The basturma sandwich was nice, tasty, and light. I love the pickled turnip and olives they serve with their sandwiches. I believe the owner made my sandwich and he was really nice. I also got a few pieces of noga candies that were delish and some bread that was pricey but great! Parking lot is a little small but I was lucky and got a spot :)

We stopped by at 5p on a Friday and it was empty! We ate at the small table inside! They said that the most popular ones were a sausage one and a prosciutto one and we liked them both! Would def go back!

Great Basturma, Sucuk, and Makanek! The gentleman can be a little short, and sometimes grumpy, but the food the make is worth it! They still get four stars.

To put it simply, no where makes a basturma sandwich better. This is a Los Angeles institution that contributes to the diverse cultural tapestry of Los Angeles. Can't wait to be back to support - places like this make our city better.

Made me feel like I'm back in the old country with their perfect selection of international grocery goods and menu of yummy sandwiches and meats in a tiny market that somehow makes room for a sit-down area. This basturma is legendary!

Truly a mom and pop authentic experience. First time having Armenian food and really got a taste of the spices. The sandwich was just okay to be honest and the chi keofte was amazing!
