Saffy's was the last on my bucket list of chef-owners Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis' restaurants that I've been wanting to try, and it did not disappoint! The food and service were amazing!!I started with the hummus ful, which was absolutely divine. Perfectly creamy with a few fava beans to round out the texture. It had a nice kick from the pickled elements, excellently balanced with citrus. Definitely unique and a must-try!The grilled lobster skewer was another standout: sweet and succulent, pairing beautifully with the green harissa serrano lime yogurt. The grilled Gundagai lamb chops were cooked to perfection, complemented by the rich eggplant turmeric curry and a fresh beet & celery root slaw. Every bite was bursting with bold, well-balanced flavors.Service was top-notch. Daniella was an excellent server, super knowledgeable, attentive, and always checking in without interrupting my meal. It's rare to get service this seamless! The ambiance is a little loud, but it's still a great spot for grabbing amazing food and drinks with a group of friends. The only downside is the parking situation, but they do offer valet, which is a plus.Highly recommend Saffy's, and I can't wait to come back!

Valet parking was only 13 dollars which is cheaper than any other restaurant I frequent. The food was absolutely delicious which made up for the fact that you cannot wait at the bar for your table; the bar is for walk in patrons, so you wait outside next to heat lamps until your table is ready. They do have a nice server to bring u a drink while you wait which is great. Back to the food. It was heavenly. We had the mussels, we had the hummus, we had the gem salad which was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend the gem salad and mussels. The bread which came with the hummus was fresh baked. Truly satisfying. We also had the celery appetizer it was very unique and did not taste like celery. The main course was fried sea bass which i loved so much. We also got the kabobs: Wagyu and lamb, both were excellent. I had a latte for dessert because i like to finish my meal with some type of coffee. The meal was a ten out of ten. Truly great food. An intimate setting with Cool vibes and decent people. Looking around everyone was smiling and laughing. It was worth every penny.

* Price: reasonable for a Micheline restaurant. Cocktail $18, appetizer $15 to $40. Entrée $40 to $50. Shareable portions. 4+ stars.* Ambiance: cute restaurant tuck in transient neighborhood. Art deco. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. 4 stars.* Location: East Hollywood area next to Scientology church. Not far from Ktown, Thai town, Hollywood walk, Siverlake areas. Valet or street parkings. Paid parking at Kaiser parking lot on North Edgemont. The area can be a bit transient. 3 stars.* Meals: compact menu but everything is so delicious! 5 stars.* Service: friendly and pleasant from the host to bartenders. 5 stars. We work in the area and have eyeed on Saffy's for years... finally came here after work with a visiting friend. We did not have reservation... walked in on a Friday night... waited for about 20 min. They have a small coffee shop next to the main restaurant where you can order drinks and food from Saffy's. We sat at the bar. Our bartender took orders for food and drink. She gave us very good advice.- drinks: mango lassy and milk punch ($18 each). - Meals:Peruvian scallop crudo ($28): tender, citrussy, a touch of Chilli and salt. So good. The flavor is burst in my mouth.Hummus tahini ($16): very smooth with spiciness from zhough or spicy cilantro sauce, spreads over sweet challah breads. Highly recommended.Grilled onion and endive salad ($22): endives are so fresh and crunchy, balanced with sweetness and slightly grilled onion. Very refreshing!Red snapper tagine ($52): slow cook in a clay pot. The aroma of the food and the presentation is matched the taste of the dish. Snapper is so moist and well cooked, paired with coconut rice. Final verdict: worth the hype!

Saffy's a sister restaurant to Bavel and Bestia in Arts District! This spot is spectacular and I highly recommend you make a reservation prior to coming. Valet is I believe $13 or $14 and they take card.It was so good that I came again with my parents. I highly recommend the Fried Mediterranean Seabass, Red Snapper Tagine, grilled lobster skewer, scallop Crudo, hummus tahini (bread is AMAZING or you can also get crudités if you can't do gluten), beet salad and tempura kabobs squash & fennel.I wasn't a fan of the falafel (really dry no flavor), lamb and beef skewers (wasn't worth it and wasn't tasty in our opinion...

Loved our experiences at Saffy's! It's pricey but worth it-never thought I'd willingly pay $16 for hummus but here we are. I've been here twice and haven't had a bad dish. The challah bread that comes with the aforementioned hummus is divine. Loved the fried seabass as well, though I wish it came with a side of rice or bread. The skewers are a good portion size and very juicy. For two people, two appetizers and an entree are probably more than enough. As a fan of Bestia, I was excited to try Saffy's and it didn't disappoint. Service is just as good, with many staff members walking around refilling drinks and clearing your table. Servers are friendly and give great recommendations. Indoor seating is cute but can get kind of loud, so I'd sit outside if you want to be able to have a conversation with your group. Make a reservation if you can!

A sister restaurant to Bavel and Bestia but a little bit more casual. Food is amazing!! The menu slightly changes. We love the all the hummus dishes, the endive salad is a must and the fish tangine dish served with coconut rice. And make sure to save roomFor the dessert, I love the soft serve. The flavor changes but everytime I go, it's so good!! They have outdoor seating and if you have a dog, you can have your dog sit with you outside. There is street parking available but make sure to read the signs. If not, valet parking.

If you like Bavel in Arts District, you have to try this place! (IMO this is way better than Bavel.) There's not a lot of things to do within walking distance of place, but give it a try if you're in the area. It's a cute restaurant with good service. I'd skip the desserts, but the appetizers, entrees, and drinks from this place are all really good. My favs are the scallops, falafel, and any of the skewers!

Bit overhyped. Has been on my list for a while. Beautiful decor. Tightly packed tables. Noisy. Great service. Staff were attentive and kind. Made a reservation and didn't get a table until 30-40 min later. They have you wait in the cafe next door (attached to the restaurant). You can order drinks there while you wait. Food: Hummus ful: 6/10 personally i don't love the texture/flavor of their hummus. Its exactly the same as Bavel bar toppings. Yummy challah comes with it. Tempura sweet potato and fennel: 7/10 nice tempura batter. Loved the dipping sauceBeef and chicken skewers: 7/10 we liked the chicken better than the beef. Protein cooked well. But cohesively the dish didn't stand out. Personally didn't love the spice mixture, something seemed imbalanced Mandarin/vanilla swirl soft serve: 8/10 simple, lovely creaminess on the vanilla. Orange creamsicle vibes Overall, beautiful restaurant with fresh ingredients, cooked well. The flavors and wow factor just missed. It lacked that simplicity and balance that soulful Middle-eastern food has.

This is my favorite restaurant of 2025 so far. I know it's only February but I'm standing by my bold statement. Everything we ordered had so many layers of flavor to it. On top of that, it was clean and light. We started the night with Peruvian scallop crudo and gem salad. I was blown away by the burst of flavor in the scallop alone. The gem salad was so fresh and I loved the touch of yogurt and balsamic. The highlight of the night was their signature dish - saffys dish kebab. Definitely big enough for 3-4 people but our table of 2 finished it because it was SOOOO GOOD. I will be dreaming of this until my next visit! We also ordered 2 kebabs - iberico pork and beef shishlik. The lavash that came with the kebabs was so good and doughy, and the tahini salad paired with the kebabs took it to the next level. The whole dinner was a tasteful journey that I would love to experience again. If you've been on the fence on trying this place, GO NOW!
