Soooooooooo greasy!!! Omg. Look at the spinach aloo. My lamb biriyani had literally 2 pieces of lamb. I came from Oakland which had top notch Indian food... I've been looking for good Indian food in LA. The search continues. The owner/worker was very nice, although he got my order wrong initially, had me wait 5 minutes to fix it, & threw in free rice (which I didn't need because of my biriyani, free naan or soups as would've made more sense). Also, the samosas didn't come with any dip/chutney...

I made an order from DoorDash based on the pictures provided. What I got was worse than dog food. At best it's IBS waiting to happen. The picture shows a thick sauce with leaves and chunks of tomato. Quarter inch It also shows decent size chunks of lamb. What I got was a quarter inch of oil with a purée. I also ordered Lamb Naan x2 and only got 1. my only saving grace in getting ripped off is that it was underwhelming. I have had so much better. I do not recommend I will not be returning. It really says a lot if the quality of the food is so bad you wouldn't even feed it to your dog for fear that it would make them sick as well as yourself

Ordered Grub Hub delivery today. Chicken curry: 5 stars. very good - I wish it was spicier but this just means that I will order Vindaloo next time. The chicken is cooked well and the sauce is very flavorful. note: the items do not come with rice, and it didn't specifically say this when ordering so just be aware. If I was there in person I'm sure the rice issue would have been addressed by our waiter. Chicken Samosa: 4 stars. good - but they did not provide the tamarind and mind chutneys! Very sad, but I'll get over it. Bummer since had they remembered to give me the chutneys this would be a 5 star review. Maybe next time in person they will remember to provide the chutney.

This order gave me inspiration for a new rule of thumb regarding Indian food- if you cant even get a mango lassi right, why are you in business. Spent $100 on 3 dishes, rice pudding, some naan and a mango lassi. Unfortunately didn't realize none of it came with rice so I had to make it when the order came- blame myself for that one but it was disappointing. The flavors of everything were universally mid tier- I'm an Italian boy from the easy coast and my first attempt at making butter chicken was leagues better than what we got here. The food was a mix of bland and off tasting. The matar paneer was the best one, tasted pretty average. The naan was fine, hard to mess that up. I wasn't alone, my girl felt exactly the same and she doesn't even know Indian food that well. The mango lassi was so artificial tasting- no tang, no fresh mango taste, just upsettingly bad. Not going to order again- if you own or are just a cook at this place, spend a day trying indian food from other spots, you'll definitey learn something.

I have travelled to India several times in my life. Walking into Royal Indian Tandoori I was transported back to India. They have Bollywood videos, cheap plastic folding tables with the stickers still on, old chairs, plain white paint on old plaster walls and a curtain separating the dining room from the kitchen. This is precisely what you find all over India. In this country we use the word dive. From my perspective it was real India. I loved it!Sweet LassiPerfect. It was not the overly sweet ones typical in the USA. This was how they prepare them in India. Furthermore it was served in a real glass. Solid 5 star drink.Vegetable Samosas2 Samosas were served piping hot on a real porcelain plate. Shell was light and crisp as it should be. Filling was perfectly seasoned. 2 sauces accompanied the samosas, mango and mint. Both were exceptional. These were freshly made as they should be.These were exactly what I get when in India. They did nothing to Americanize the dish. Saag PaneerThis dish was prepared and served the real Indian way, not the American version. The American version is pureed and creamed to death. They served the real India version which is thicker, less cream and more sauteed. Tons of fresh paneer cheese found throughout. This dish was made fresh for me. Indian food should always be prepared fresh. It was served in a brass/copper bowl just like it is in India. We had real porcelain plates to enjoy our food on. Just like they do it in India.Tandoori ChickenFreshly roasted Tandoori chicken sizzling hot on a platter right out of a tandoor. Seasoning/flavor was perfect. Authentic and fresh are the best adjectives I can use to describe what they served us today. This dish is one of their house specialties. The gentlemen working here today recommended it.The two gentlemen running this place were most kind and attentive. They opened a small Indian restaurant precisely like one finds in the Northern part of India. It is very real. It is the rare Indian restaurant that someone of Indian descent will enjoy. They understand the words fresh and properly seasoned. The prices were a tad high considering portion size and the fact we were in a low rent part of town. I'm okay with this since the quality was exceptional. I will definitely return here.

Literal definition of hole in the wall. This place is halal and you can taste the quality, everything is MADE 2 ORDER making this family operated restaurant a happy place for my tummy. Loved the cozy feel to the restaurant and the conversation made w the boss (aka their kids!)

DO NOT EAT HERE... not if you want Indian food! How can someone screw up raitha?I've never ever ever had a Biriyani (which was terrible) without raitha given with it! He charged me $4 for a tiny bowl of what might as well have been custard! To top it all! The waiter/cook/cashier was rude and not at all personable! The cook was not Indian and tried his best to impersonate Indian cuisine. He shouldn't even call it FOOD! Worst ever!
