Small little mom and pop restaurant. It was my first time trying this place and I loved it. It was a cozy feel and you can tell how much love the owners put into the place. Our server was attentive and made sure we were enjoying our lunch. I got the house wrap and it was very delicious. The wrap had chicken, tomatoes, fresh greens, crisp bacon, and creamy avocado. All ingredients that poured well together. The French fries that they have a just regular French fries, but I loved it. Thin, lightly salted and crispy. Overall a nice place to grab a bite, just beware that it's a small place.

I found out about this place via Peter and Lisa Kim's YouTube channel 2 weeks ago and made it a priority to come here asap. I ordered their garlic chicken with rice plate. The plate comes with a side salad, I got it with Japanese mustard dressing. The salad was refreshing and the dressing had a sour and light mustard taste, it wasn't too overpowering. I liked my garlic chicken although I think I might have liked it better with mashed potatoes but the only option was either French fries or rice, I chose rice. My son got the half plate chicken with French fries. They give a good amount of food and we ended up taking home our leftovers. Went on a Saturday night right before the Saturday night rush. We ended up waiting awhile for the food, but I was fine as they had many take out orders. I sat next to one of their regular customers who has been coming for over 2 decades. They even shared a plate of their mushroom appetizer with me. I had a blast and the vibe was great. The place is small with only max capacity of around 25 people. I've driven by here a few times and never noticed it. Don't park in the parking structure as I ended up paying $8, park on the street $1.25 per hour. I plan on coming back to try their other dishes.

Haven't dined in at Rotisserie Chicken of California since before Covid, but a work conference a couple of months ago made me remember about this hidden little gem in Pasadena... 5 stars!!!!!The rotisserie chicken is the one to get. Definitely simple but it's always delicious flavorful, and tender both pre- and post-Covid; my fellow coworkers and workshop attendees were very grateful I suggested this place for lunch. The Fried Tofu appetizer is another must-get item before the meal, and the Chicken Breast Cutlet Curry is a worth opponent to the more simple rotisserie chicken. My other coworkers tried the Chicken Breast Sandwich with Fries as well as the Rotisserie Chicken Quesadilla, and they left the place raving about the food! The staff at Rotisserie Chicken of California has always been super welcoming and friendly, but parking can be a little challenging if you cannot find a nearby street parking space. It's worth the walk, however, even if you have to park father away.

First review of the year! I need to be a bit better about it this year, last year was too crazy and life got in the way. :)At any rate, I forgot how I came upon this place but since I now work in the Pasadena area, I decided to give it a try after work for some takeout. There is some metered parking in the front, I was able to snag one because it was after work (machine). Popped inside, it looked quaint, something out of the 90s lol. There were 2 tables occupied and they had an open kitchen so you can see what's kinda going on. The cute old lady (whom I assume is the owner of the place) was in the front taking orders. I ordered the garlic chicken with a side of rice (they were out of mashed potatoes sadly). With the extra garlic it came out to about $23. I waited about 15-20 minutes (basically if you are hangry or in a rush, you might want to call it in). The other people at the tables also got their food right before I got mine- I think the kitchen was a bit backed up, I could hear some chaos. The lady looked tired and I told her to the night was almost over so chin up, when I picked up the food. The chicken was good- the skin was crispy and had lots of garlic flavor. A bit oily though, so not a fan of that. The rice was just basic white rice and they threw in a couple of grilled veggies, nothing to write home about. It also came with a side salad, I did like the Japanese mustard dressing. Was it worth the hype? I want to say sadly not really. It was good, but it felt kinda heavy after, I reheated some leftovers the next day and there was a pool of oil on the bottom. Perhaps their lighter lunch options are a better choice? Not sure but then again, so many other places to try.

Pretty spectacular chicken. Super juicy, great crispy skin. The mustard salad dressing was amazing (I could have asked for extra for the chicken, but it was already so good it didn't need it). Would have probably given this place 5 stars had the owner's wife been there (my friends' say she is a riot). Hopefully next time.

I have lived in Pasadena for over 10 years and had been wanting to try it. Finally tried it with my husband. It was okay. Honestly a little pricey. The chicken was decent. The fact that it's family owned and the owners talk to the customers was actually a plus.

Lovingly Known as the Chicken Place! Food: the definition of a local favorite. Everyone that works around this spot has a favorite and for me it's the L3 with rice and side salad. The chicken has that good crispy skin and for $3 extra bucks you can get only dark meat. I recommend you pour some of the red and green sauce on top of your rice and chop a roasted jalapeño in it. Mix together with the rice and it's the best bite! Service: they really tailor to the work lunch crowd by serving up your food fast but I recommend you look up the menu before you go, there are a lot of great options. Location: off of Los Robles. Seats about 25 people so go exactly at 11:30 to secure your seat. Walkable location if you're in the surrounding offices. Parking: very limited. There is one parking spot in front of the location. I recommend parking in the parking lots behind the restaurant on union or green. Notables: the lunch menu and dinner menu are different. If you get the salad you can ask for a side of bacon.

Love, love love this place. Used to come here (since 1993!) until me and my partner moved to the PNW 5 years ago. Still, every time I come back to LA I make sure that we'd stop by and enjoy this wonderful chicken place. Not only is the food to die for, the owners are very kind, folksy and accommodating. They even remember our names! My favourite is the chicken32 with rice. And a glass of chianti. Salad with the Japanese dressing. Oh and of courseThe fried t

Juiciest chicken in the state. Needs more recognition! You can't go wrong with any of the items of this restaurant. The service is excellent and the owners know how to run this place!
