Nestled among palms alongside the Roosevelt's Tropicana pool, Rosy Café is the perfect "Hollywood" spot just off the Boulevard. It's intimate yet lively, rich with Hollywood history yet devoid of the presumption of Chateau. It's a limited menu, but the food is excellent. We've tried the steak, fish tacos, ceviche - the seafood especially was fresh and flavourful. Portions are plentiful; plates are attractively served. We had simple cocktails - mimosas and plain sparkling wine - and due to two factors on our visits (one, an issue in the kitchen with our food and the other, my birthday!) a round of drinks was on the house each time. Service is quiet, swift, and pleasant.Though it's casual enough to just pop in on whim without a reservation, Rosy is a special little place worthy of celebrating an occasion - a trendy girls' brunch, an impressive date, or a weekday lunch with your dad that will give you a special memory for life.

Now, where do I begin? This place completely sneaked up behind me and surprised me in a very good way. It's not that I didn't expect this place to be decent, but I didn't expect it to be that good for a pool side bar & cafe, conspicuously tucked all the way back at the end of the pool area. Not just F&B wise but also the staff and in particular shutout to the extraordinaire Emanuel for his outstanding hospitality, top notch customer service, and spot on recommendations. The brunch food we had there was just epic and worthy of a one star Michelin star recognition IMHO.Starting off the brunch with delicious mimosas and strong tasty cappuccinos surely was a great way to jump start the morning.I highly recommend the Duck Confit which is just outstanding and ridiculously delicious. The combination of the oh so crispy yet softly warm on the inside of this decadent duck fat potato hash like nothing I ever tasted before, the perfectly fried duck egg with vividly orange yolk, and the slightly peppery sauce that accompany the fall of the bone duck leg and thigh, make this dish the star of this relaxing feast by the pool under the iconic yellow umbrellas of the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. The other noteworthy dish is the crab cake Benedict which I dare say it's probably the best one out there. Why? Because unlike the typical crab cake Benedicts that full of fillers on top an English muffin, this one actually uses the perfectly fried thick crab cake patties as the base instead of the muffin, making this a very delicious and keto friendly at the same time. On top of it all, you can actually taste the fresh chunks of real crab with every bite along with the avocado, poached egg, and lightly seasoned greens that go really well with the whole ensemble. There you have it folks - the two dishes not to be missed when you come to Rosy Café and if you're lucky you'll get to meet the charming Emanuel to make the whole experience that much sweeter.

This place was amazing! Tucked away in The Roosevelt Hotel, this little poolside breakfast and brunch spot was delightful! The staff were super attentive and we were checked on regularly. Their latte was delicious and the breakfast menu made it hard to choose but we ended up with the French Omelette and Breakfast Burrito and both were to die for! Loved the food, loved the vibe, loved the service - if you are near Hollywood Blvd this is a must-try!

EPIC FAIL BY ROOSEVELT MANAGEMENTI expect more from a HOLLYWOOD LANDMARK. This is not in actuality a cafe. It is the hotel POOL BAR made up to resemble one, with a hostess & podium. I don't blame the staff for their lack of training. I blame those responsible for their training. We ordered a club sandwich with fries, the sliders and 2 arnold palmers. The food was fine, at best. We both laughed that the sliders were not any better than the new smash burger at Jack in the Box, which is actually our new fast food favorite (at a fraction of Rosy's price). But the food we were finally given (after it was delivered to the wrong table, placed in front of other people and then given to us after who knows how many fries were eaten by the others) had to be walked to the pool area FROM THEIR OTHER RESTAURANT. So nothing was hot. AND they only have PLASTIC UTENSILS. The whole time we sat there we had to listen to the drunks at the bar, as well.

Fun place to meet a friend for a chat, maybe a cocktail, maybe a make-do meal. Nestled into the pool area of Hotel Roosevelt, ambiance is this place's speciality. You are not going to see stars here, but it's a pleasant, relatively quiet scene with a middle-class vacationers vibe. Service was attentive. Menu was fine: not exceptional but met expectations.

A very stylish and cute cafe at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel pool side. It's a little tropical oasis in the heart of Hollywood! They serve breakfast and all day menu till late afternoon daily. We came in for a little lunch and cocktails while staying at the hotel. The food menu wasn't big but the items were healthy. Perfect food for pool side eats. The cocktails were very refreshing and tasty. We had smoked salmon tartare and falafel. I liked the light food and strong drinks so much. It was a rainy day so we couldn't sit outside. But the indoor was so cozy and intimate for hubby and I. The service was top notch the entire time. This is such a cute little pool side cafe for light bites and yummy cocktails!
