The Burgers - The Burgers -THE BURGERS!When something works, don't change!Rick's has been serving amazing burgers for years and their fries are also amazing. Chicken, fish, it's a haven for Dodgers fans as well. The iced tea is always freshly made. It's a true staple of Echo Park and no one goes away hungry. The staff is always friendly and helpful and there is never a long wait and the food is always hot and fresh. They have a drive thru as well as sit down eating so whatever you want, you got it. Rick's is a go to spot for me and go to it often.

I went with three other friends for lunch. Had turkey burger itand fries and order a slice of pie to go. Service was ok. It has an old diner feel; with booth seating. You place you order and sit down and someone brings it to you. My only complaint was that my pie wasn't ready when it was time to leave. I have to wait for someone to slice and package it, so I had three people waiting in the car for me. It wasn't an efficient process. Parking is limited because this is a small lot.

The kids and I needed something quick and easy when we made a quick stop off on our way to Disneyland. I love these kinds of drive through because they always have one of my favorite fast foods, fried zucchini. I have a large pick up truck with a long truck bed (it's about 6.5 feet) and that drive thru was tight. Folks with longer cars, make sure you check your mirrors as you make your way around to avoid any issues. We got a grilled cheese (my daughter enjoyed it but for $6 there was a sad amount of cheese. No cheese made it to the crust), fried zucchini (it was thick, breaded and seasoned well, and made fresh) , a chicken taco (this was bland with what seemed like boiled chicken maybe? I won't get that again), fries (just your average fries, nothing special.), a veggie burger (unfortunately this got really soggy and the bread fell apart which made it too hard for my son to eat) and a Jamaica tea (this tea was DELICIOUS! It was tart, not overly sweet and tasted authenticI'll go again, it not only got more of that Jamaica tea and the zucchini.

This is definitely a late night burger joint but they also have indoor seating until 11pm. Classic backyard style burgers served hot in a drive thru has to be a staple LA restaurant. I love their milkshakes and burgers. The only issue is the quality of the bun but I digress. My BIL loves their chili cheese fries and felt they were better than at Tops. I highly recommend this burger joint when in the echo park area. It sure hits the spot after a Dodger game!!!

Oh hell, yes I would recommend this place for their burgers. To my surprise, they were some of the best burgers we've had for less than $10! I had the back cheeseburger So gooood!!

I Love Rick's! Personally I think they have one of the best breakfast burritos in the LA area. We usually get it with bacon and avocado. Big, filling and the salsas make it even better. The side of extra crispy hash browns are crunchy and have just enough "grease" to add another layer of deliciousness! The side of white toast is just a bonus. The service is always friendly. The place is clean. The atmosphere is like an old diner back East.Ambiance 10/10Cleanliness 9/10Food 10/10Service 10/10Value 9/10Will I Return? Every chance I can get!

Rick's is a neighborhood staple. They are definitely not perfect but it's a affordable and solid meal. Food: my personal go-to is the breakfast plates. Toast, eggs and hashbrowns never tasted so good. 5/5 the grilled cheese is excellent and paired perfectly with some fries. 5/5Parking lot is large making this diner easily accessible. Drive through is convenient as well. Beware they may close a little earlier than the advertised hours but that's pretty common in LA, just give them a call.

Solid 4! Great customer service, good breakfast (big portions) and a fair price.We are regulars before work and know we are getting a quality meal that holds it down for the day. Fyi- I get the ranchero sauce for all egg dishes.

A day ago I went to Rick's to get a burger and chili fries and the chili fries were so delicious crunchy and the chili was hot . So today I went and got two chili fries but I guess a different cook made them because the taste was bad and the fries were soggy and the chili was cold. I'm sorry but it made me want to throw it away.

It's been years since visiting Rick's-- 20 to be exact-- and over two different times, I thought I'd try both breakfast and lunch to see if it's changed at all. Ordered the French Toast and Eggs for breakfast one day, and the original Charbuger with cheese and fries on another. It's amazing how this place seems to keep it right! First time I've had breakfast there, and still crave that French Toast! And the Charburger with cheese, is just as delicious as I remember it when I was a teen. This place is now a definite stop whenever I'm in town, not just for the nostalgic flavors and ambiance, but for the great and kind service from staff that have been there for a long time!
