This place is such a gem and so beautiful at night. The service is amazing. Everyone is so attentive and knowledgeable. The dinner began with a complimentary potato and leek soup with a chive oil. The soup texture is rich and creamy and the flavors are so unique that I wanted more! I got the snap pea cocktail. I had no expectations but this was a great pairing for the meal. As the dishes got richer and heavier, the cocktail was like a palate cleanser. Light and refreshing. Good balance of ingredients IMO. We tried the baguette with butter. The butter was delicious! The bread is essentially bottomless so they bring you a fresh one when you ask! All the meat was cooked to perfection and tender. Serving sizes are fair considering the prices. Definitely recommend the braised beef, it came with a mousse which paired SO good with the beef. I would definitely get the risotto again. The shaved the truffle fresh at the table. The rice is made al dente which I personally prefer. And it was not heavy which is usually my issue with risotto. Would definitely come back but be prepared to spend more than you expect

The food, service, and ambiance are fantastic. I'm so glad to finally be here. That said ordering and getting your order here is a bit of a mess. A good mess that you'll deal with because of how good the food is. We put down a savory danish, a pistachio raspberry donut, and a lobster omelette. All were great and made me want to order more and more. We'll definitely come again but you gotta get here early for breakfast cuz it's a madhouse. A truly delicious one at that. Thanks Republique!

very industrial vibe, colourful and pretty upstairs with a rentable space for private events. We had a private brunch experience with over 10guests. It did not disappoint. It's a very dress down place but in the comfort of our private space, we were dressed up and it was fine.Food was yummy, drinks were a little more blah but it might just depend on what you're into. Our server was lovely and even helped us take pictures. Pricing was kinda crazy but definitely not worse than any other brunch spot in LA.

Waited so long to come here for brunch and it absolutely lived up to the hype!! We arrived just before 10am on a Saturday and there was no line AND we were able to snag street parking a few blocks away from the entrance, so I'd highly recommend getting there early! Even if there's no street parking available, apparently valet before 10am is only $5. The brunch ordering process is very efficient and streamlined -- you order pastries from their beautiful pastry display case, then you order off of their food menu and pay. Then you get a number and seat yourself either inside or outside in their outdoor patio, and they bring you your food & water. The outdoor patio was gorgeous and had plenty of seating; so nice on a sunny morning. We ordered the raspberry & black sesame frangipane croissant, the potato pancake, and the kimchi fried rice. I had heard so many good things about the kimchi fried rice but to be honest it was bland. I absolutely loved the potato pancake and pastry we got though -- so delicious and the food felt fresh, flavorful, was beautifully presented.Overall it was a very pricey brunch, but definitely worth trying once. Will definitely be back!

Came here on a Sunday for brunch around noon and was a little surprised by the line out the door. Fortunately, the line and service moved very quickly. You order your food at a cashier before seating yourself inside the restaurant, a pretty similar setup to Urth Cafe, another popular cafe in the LA area. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a very charming aesthetic to it which probably explains how it became so viral on Instagram. After we sat ourselves, our food came out shortly. We ordered the seasonal bread budding, brioche French toast, and shakshuka. At first glance, the portions seem a bit small given the heavy price point, but we were pretty stuffed at the end of the meal. The bread budding was served warm and was fragrant and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The French toast was soft, airy, and paired well with a touch of syrup. The shakshuka was tasty and probably my favorite dish out of everything we ordered.A few cons I have that knocked off a star from Republique would be the inattentive service we received. We were preparing to leave and wanted to pack some leftovers for the road. We asked 4 different servers, some multiple times, before we were able to get a takeout box. Another complaint I would have is the hefty price, but I suppose that's expected from a viral cafe in LA these days. Overall, I would come back in the future to try their dinner menu and other brunch items.

One of my FAVORITE restaurants in Los Angeles!!!! Must come here when in town!!!! Do they make a better pastry anywhere? Just top of the line goodies with unique flavor combos and top end ingredients. Someday I will come for lunch or dinner! This building is really cool too! Today we came at 8am right as they opened and it was great! Parked in front at a meter and it is free before 9am. Ordered the following to share with wifey:- Latte - Passion fruit coconut lime bar - raspberry pistachio kouign amann - slice of strawberry passion fruit cream pie - dulce de leche cremadette - crème brûlée bomboloni - guava cream cheese brioche w/almonds They were all AMAZING!!!! My favorite was the guava cream cheese brioche and wifey really liked the Dulce de leche cremadette but there is no bad choices here!We ordered at the counter and found seats. They brought the food to us. Took a long time to make my Latte but we love this place and are sad they won't open up a location in Seattle!!!

I have been wanting to come here for years. I am so glad I made it last week. The ambiance did not disappoint. You order at the counter and find a seat. It is open seating. The inside felt like a French courtyard. The interior was European, countryside, open and airy. I opted for a communal table right in the center of the "court yard." There is seating in the back too for a more dark mood. Now onto the food.I ordered:Montadito: House cured ham, brie cheese on a sesame baguette. 5/5It was simple and delicious. I loved it so much. I got back in line and ordered two more to go to bring home for loved ones.Hand-made chicken pie: This one was just ok. The texture was great but the flavor of the filling was a miss, it tasted a bit sour. There were vegetables which was nice but not enough meat. 3/5Matcha Lemon Cake: This was beautiful and delicious. The cake texture was on the dense side but I didn't mind. The combination of matcha and lemon worked well together. This cake was not overly sweet which I loved. 4/5Chocolate croissant: It was good. Not amazing but good. 4/5Oatmilk latte: I wish the portion was bigger. The flavor was good. 4/5 (one point taken away for how small it was).I was here on a Friday noon. The inside still had seating but the servers seemed busy and confused. I had to wave them down a couple of times for service. Once I did that, they were prompt and delivered whatever I needed.I would return to try the other items on their menu and for the ambiance. Parking is very tricky. There is valet parking on site.

Don't let the long line discourage you, this is not your typical wait-to-be-seated situation. Once you've ordered at the counter, you will keep an eye out for tables as they become available and "voila!" you are just about to dig into the most gorgeous food you've ever seen in such a short amount of time. The French Omelette I ordered was superb and yet I envied all the dishes around me. But what tickled me just as much, if not more, was the castle/Diagon Alley-esque environment. I've driven past this restaurant countless times but I never expected such a magical, vast, interior.I feel like a fool for not having dined here before but late was absolutely better than never in this instance!

Parking was a nightmare but luckily we found street parking at a nearby neighborhood without any permits during the day on a weekday. For a weekday this place was packed near lunch time. You order pastries and your items then they give you a number and you find a table. They will bring the food to you. The interior is very chapel old school mixed with some modern flare. Plenty of space but because it is busy, you should take the next available seat. The pastries were good and fresh. The actual entree that we ordered were okay. I ordered a sandwich with salad and the bread to meat ratio was way off and slightly dry.
