Qianlixiang Hot Pot

spice level 2 is reallly spicy yall. first time trying dry pot (flavorful) & it was amazing, scrumptious. i recommend eating it with rice! parking underground (get it validated), street parking

Good food! Fast service! The place is in the same plaza and level with the Boiling Crab.Restaurant is very clean and good vibes Medium spicy was real good for me (good flavor, quite spicy for medium but good!) Parking is 5 dollars with validation during weekend daytime.

It was ok. I personally don't think the broth was very flavorful and their sauce bar was non existent. Like almost nothing. No scallion or cilantro or garlic or even sesame paste. It was just soy sauce and spicy sauce. I got just under the highest spice level and it wasn't spicy at all. I should have gone full spicy but I don't think that would have made much of a difference. They have bunmoja (thick potato noodle) which I love but flavor and sauce wise I liked Tang Huo better. I still have a few more malatang places to try in KTown but so far this place is the bottom of my list.

This is my third time visiting, but it has been my favorite malatang restaurant ever since I tasted the first sip of the soup from the first visit!! Dare I say the best malatang I've ever tried in sd, oc, and la.

This was the best individual-sized mala hotpot place I think we've had so far-- the broth was rich, creamy, and delectable. YinTang and Pixiu are both amazing, but I personally felt this broth was even a step up from them. The skewers were also very flavorful and fatty in the best way possible. Prices were affordable and one bowl was enough for me and my girlfriend both. AC was not working too well in the restaurant, and that would be my only criticism. Other than that, would highly recommend this restaurant!

Came on a Saturday night and there was ample seating. They had a solid selection of self serve items including sliced beef, fish, fish balls, squid, quail eggs, veggies, and noodles. We ended up with 2.7 pounds of food that was more than enough for 2-3 people. The dry hot pot flavor was spot on, and medium was just enough spicy but not too much. Their lamb skewers and squid came on a hot plate and were tender. They do serve alcohol and give rice per request for both dry hotpot and soup. Pay after you eat and don't forget to validate your parking before you leave.

This review is based off their to go/uber eats. My sad bowl pictured here came out to be $30 despite it having scraps of meat, no noodles like instructed, and being 1/4 of the actual container size. This is truly sad because I think Qianlixiang has the best broth base in comparison to other mala spots, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that dining in store is a way better experience!

You grab a bowl, pick what you want from the cold bar, weight it and you can either get it dry or with soup. Great variety, delicious skewers and they have fen hao zi noodles!!! OBSESSED!!! I love how I can order malatang and skewers at the same time. Their skewers were grilled to perfection and the seasoning was the highlight... very very flavorful. This spot hits for malatang when you're in ktown. They also have parking underground or meters if you can find a spot. Will be back for sure.

I don't really crave mala hot pot but this spot made me crave it for lunch on a cold winter day. You can choose from a variety of toppings and it's priced fairly at $16.99/lb. The employee and owner are extremely friendly and even gave me and my friend some sesame balls for dessert as a service! You can also ask for white rice on the side! If you love mala or hot pot, def give this spot a try!
