I met my friend here for Sunday brunch. Pro-tip - make reservations. The host was super great! I walked in, gave them the k fo for our party and they sent the text when the table was ready. Super quick! I did walk to one of the shops, which was fun :) We sat down. I ordered an OJ and a mocha. The mocha was literally one of the best I have ever had, including the ones I make at home and my fav local coffee shop. It was hands down a winner!!We ordered the crab egged bene and the breakfast burrito-- with chicken cuz it's the best.My eggs bene came played with a simple, lovely and perfect salad. It had a lovely lemon essence dressing, that allowed the freshness of the greens to sing. The Benedict was on a house made buttermilk biscuit. The crab and avo played well off of each other. The eggs done to perfection and the sauce. Some places skimp on sauces, use them from jars or just don't know how a proper sauce is completed. This place is NOT that place. They have a stand alone Benedict sauce. That is flavorful, has the correct consistency. I highly recommend this dish!!My pal loved her breakfast burrito and would totally recommend it to a friend.

Has a cute little interior with many tables. Each table had a cute fake flower which really sets the mood. Service was below average, but they were nice at least. - House Hot Sauce 1.7/5It tastes like Frank's Red Hot Sauce, maybe added more butter or something to it. It's $1 extra per tiny cup, which THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THEY CHARGE FOR IT. - Matcha latte 2.6/5Thought the matcha was just basic. I added lavender for an extra $1, which they don't tell you it's extra, and you can barely taste it. - Pulled Pork Hash 1.4/5The hash is a giant block of fried hash brown, and honestly, it was a huge disappointment. The pulled pork is VERY sweet. - Fried Cauliflower 4.2/5It's on the saltier side (since they salt the cauliflower then add pickled peppers on top). I thought it tasted pretty yummy though. - Brassica Salad 2.3/5Shaved pieces of Brussels and kale with grapefruits and oranges and pomegranate on top, I thought this was ok. It definitely needed more dressing because the salad was on the bitter side. - Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict 3.7/5The egg was perfectly cooked, yolk very runny, maybe a tad slightly under since there was a part of the white still runny. The hollandaise sauce was not enough, couldn't taste it because the yolk overpowered it. The fried chicken was a big piece, but I thought it was slightly overcooked? Kinda dry.. the yolk helped though. The side salad it comes with had a pleasant lemony tangy dressing and was perfectly tossed. Street paid parking... in the flower district

Was expecting a little more to this place. We got seated right away since it wasn't busy. For drinks I got a hot latte with soy milk and my friend got a Bloody Mary. The coffee was okei there was just a lot of foam for a latte so wasn't to happy with that. My friend said the Bloody Mary tasted very bland. We ordered the avocado toast and salmon eggs Benedict. Waited for a couple mins. Finally got our food and I gotta say were we very disappointed. In the pictures on yelp it looks pretty but taste wise it was not that great! The avocado toast was very bland like no taste or flavor just tasted like bread with just avocado on top! They put garnish on top to make it pretty but it wasn't good. The eggs Benedict was also very bland, the bread was very hard and pieces were just falling off. The Brussels sprouts it came with just looks super burnt. There was more black then green. Was super oily too! It was very pretty to look at but the taste wasn't that great! Was hoping for something more tasteful not good looking. I hope this place does good. The location isn't that great since it's in the ghetto area of downtown LA. And parking is $6 too. Would street park instead but there was to much crazies outside so the safest bet was paying $6 for parking....

Ambiance: this brunch place is located in DTLA flower district, spacious inside and good for large group gatherings Service: super friendly and patient with questions, provided useful suggestion, served food and food attentively Food: variety menu items for brunch Buttermilk Fried Chicken + Waffle - ** served with honey butter and syrup, honestly very disappointing, the waffle was good, however, the two pieces of chicken breast and wing weren't crispy at all, the meat texture tasted so dry and old, unfortunately those weren't fried freshly, served barely warm and sort of soggy, instead of hot and crunchy Pulled Pork Sandwich - **** smoked pulled pork, fresh coleslaw, aioli, brioche bun, very flavorful and delicious, recommend Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, expect $25+ per person

It's a beautiful little restaurant. Food was on point and the service was great as well. It's in an unfortunate placement in the city though. I got a miscellaneous something tossed at me by a local homeless crazy. They also proceeded to pinch the back of another customers leg. The staff worked very hard to kindly ask them to leave but it didn't make the situation any less uncomfortable. It was also EXTREMELY loud. Not sure if the metal accents they added to the rough made the acoustics of the place louder, but it was a lot, so if you have any sensory issues, probably wouldn't recommend.

I'm still thinking about that pulled pork hash.. I frequent the Flower District from time to time and after doing some errands in the area, I figured to try this brunch spot.Again... That hash. I think most brunch spots should fried potato brick for brunch. Add two of those bricks with topping of bbq pulled pork and eggs over easy and Boom! Pulled pork was good but a bit on the sweet end but the ample potato brick eased up the sweetness. Coffee from Forge Coffee Roaster as okay. Thinking it was blended coffee beans. Not bad, but not great either. Service here was friendly and helpful. Worth trying if you're in the Flower District.

Poppy +Rose is located In the heart of the flower district. The menu has a large variety. We came for brunch and I had the market scramble. It was really good. Scrambled eggs with mushrooms, caramelized onions with herbs and Gouda. I opted for the salad but you could choose potatoes or fries. The wheat toast was also great.

Nice spot for brunch or lunch by the flower market. I tried their chicken waffle sandwich - delicious! Nice vinegary hot sauce for the juicy piece of chicken. I asked for the egg to be scrambled - came out so soft and fluffy. In terms of the interior, cute vibes with some warehouse elements mixed in. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food comes out in a timely fashion.Side note, and I'm sorry to mention this. Just a PSA - remember to use the restroom at your home or elsewhere before or after your meal. The restroom here works but it's very grunge.
