Ponsonby Road Cafe

Great little spot for lunch. I got the chicken pesto panini which was great, not greasy, light and flavorful. Comes with a small salad, which makes it a nice lunch. My latte was great too. Even got a little surprise cookie with lunch, was a nice touch.

Great Australian and New Zealand inspired pastries and coffee. Friendly customer service with a modern and slightly industrial aesthetic.

Great place to start your morning with a big warm smile from the staff; you can feel the positive vibes or maybe I just caught them on a good day. Regardless it was appreciated. The place looks very chill where you can sit and enjoy your cup of joe or one of their delicious pastries. Couldn't help myself and grabbed a meat pie for later (steak and cheese). Cold brew hit the spot and love to make a notice pass before I head back to New York.

Not understanding these mostly 5 star reviews at all, it's not even remotely close. We go to the sushi spot next door frequently and never happened to see this cafe next door. Was excited to check it out. First of all, both female baristas had an attitude and were not friendly. This being our first time in, it was definitely off putting. We did not get food, but I wouldn't as the cleanliness of the cafe was not great. We got a dirty chai iced and their iced green tea. The dirty chai was terrible, bitter espresso and bizarrely watered down even with oat milk, flavors regardless weren't good. The iced green tea was a joke, it tasted like dirty water. We never ever throw away full drinks but we made an exception here. Do not recommend at all.

The breakfast burrito is sooooooo good. Made to order and comes with a side salad! Y oh won't be disappointed.

I met up with some coworkers here. We chose the shop because it has coffee but also food (that's not just breakfast pastries), and particularly interested in trying their Austrailian meatpies!I ordered the Arnold Palmer, which was so refreshing after walking over in 80° heat. My friend got a limeade, which she really enjoyed as well. We split a butter chicken meat pie, which came with a couple of sauces that I didn't try because it was yummy all on its own! A perfect bite to tie me over until dinner!

I absolutely love Ponsonby Rd Cafe! They have the best oat milk latte in town and they are always so friendly! I adore Jamie, his wife, and his team and even though they have some amazing New Zealand meat pies, I also really love their salads. Not to mention their Matcha latte is one of the best that I've ever had. Highly recommend!

What's that out? Here is the friendly and welcoming service! They have a nice variety on their menu, I recommend the savory meat pies. They have tasty drinks as well, and a bit of outside seating. Parking is metered, I love that they open early. Good option for the area if you are looking for something different!

Ponsonby is such a cute little coffee shop where I walk to go get my morning coffee and bagel. It's not only convenient but everyone that works here is so nice. The owner always has goodies to give out, and they're always delicious!It can get busy at times especially during lunch time, so make sure you are prepared for it. Trust me, it's worth the wait if you do have to wait. If you don't, service is pretty quick and great. I typically get the iced honey vanilla latte and a plain bagel. I've had their breakfast burritos before and their steak and cheese meat pies and they are YUM. Check this place out if you're in the area, they won't disappoint.

Stopped in here for a hot beverage the other afternoon. I was the only customer there and wanted to enjoy my latte at the cafe. Service was prompt and friendly, but the 3 girls behind the counter - maybe all employees, or maybe 2 employees and a visiting friend - were talking VERY loudly with each other, nonstop, and they were really foul-mouthed too. Which is fine if it's just staff there, but keep your voices down to a dull roar when you have customers, and watch the constant F-bombs. I'm no prude but it's just trashy.My latte was OK but overpriced at $8. Won't be back.
