Playa's Pita Lebanese Cuisine

This place has excellent and healthy food. Big portions, great prices and most importantly, really good taste and quality. Since I love close by, I usually walk up and order. If it's busy and the order is going to take a while, I just go back at the time quoted and it's ready. And I get some steps in in the process. Im a pescatarian so I still to the non meat options. The felafel is so good! I usually don't like felafel because I'm often disappointed, but it has never been the case here. Perfect crunch outside, deliciously spiced and moist on the inside. I get the wrap or the plate and with the latter I usually have leftovers. I also like the cheese sambusik which are cheese empanadas. The foul is delicious and hearty. You get ALOT with the order and it comes with fresh tomatoes, pickles, hot peppers and pita bread. My meat eating friends really like the hummus with filet. I don't know how the owner does it all. He must work really hard and still doesn't skimp on quality. I like having this healthy option in the neighborhood. I just hope he doesn't burn out from all that he does.

We've been meaning to try Playa's Pita for years, but thought it a bit pricey compared to good, nearby alternatives. Now everything is pricey and it came highly recommend, so we ordered takeout. The meals had some very good elements, others were mediocre or not so great. Portions were generous. The falafel is some of the best I've had, so light, fluffy and not at all greasy! The hummus, pickles, salad and chicken (according to my husband, I don't usually eat meat) were very good. The rice was pretty good, a pilaf version with vermicelli. The vegan grape leaf was generous in size, but not improved by some sort of dry bean. The babaghanouj was disappointing. It had a very odd flavor. The garlic sauce had little flavor. Now that I know that the lentil soup is vegetarian, I will order that next time along with the dishes we liked. Their app was easy to use, our pick up order was ready on time and we had no complaints about the service or venue.

This spot came highly recommended by my Airbnb host while visiting LA and no wonder their food was just so good. Got their chicken shawarma pita sandwich, chicken shawarma plate that came right rice, pita and salad and everything was so delicious. We got the food to go and it was ready for pick up in 15 mins or so. The joint had decent seating spots too.

Delicious, take-out only Lebanese food! I was genuinely impressed by everything we ordered. Very authentic and tasty!

I have been coming here for over a decade and the food amazingly keeps getting better every time!!! It's insane. The owner busts his butt working the shop alone half the time. My cousins are Lebanese so I grew up with these specific Mediterranean spices and it brings me to my childhood every time. The portions are amazing and it's always ready on time. I've been getting take away since covid but he's reopened the dining area. Sitting in their outdoor seating area on a nice day is really lovely as well. Great service. Great food. Never disappoints.

Great pitas and falafel! My fave restaurant in Playa. Grab some takeout. If you like Lebanese food you won't be disappointed.

Flew into LA and stopped here. The tottooed man was rude from the start. Demanding higher tips. Was rude when I asked about alergic ingredients. He's not worth getting arrested over. I would give it negative reviews if I can

The menu looked great so we decided to swing by for a lunch. We sat outside, which means you're sitting next to the strip mall parking lot. But I preferred that over the inside on this visit. I love Mediterranean food and Lebanese food in particular. I found the food to be okay. The portions were also on the smaller side for what I see at other similar restaurants. They were still sufficient.The service was okay. The young woman was polite. One of the owners or managers sat at a table next to us the entire meal; likely taking a break. He never said a word to us or greeted us. I dunno. Not much else to add for this one. Solid three star experience for us.

I'm local and we used to absolutely love this place. Ever since they insisted on using an app to place orders we stopped ordering here. I refuse to have an app for one place. Hopefully the owner will use DoorDash or at least take phone orders.

Mediocre food. Overpriced. Small portions. Rude employee with a bad miserable attitude.
