What a perfect date night. I've been wanting to come here for so long now and finally got to. We came for early Valentines Day and it was nothing but amazing. We sat inside as it was a bit windy and chili but the view was still beautiful and the booth was perfect. We had the 1000 layers potatoes of course and OMG they did not disappoint. The Croquetas were delicious. I had the Al Pastor bowl soooo good. Hubby had the Reuben it was really good to and it not usually a big fan of them. Our server was the best and was so on top of everything. We cannot wait to go back it won't be soon enough. Everything we had was so delicious. We will be back to try everything on the menu.

Beautiful spot but I was so disappointed by so many things. I don't think I would ever return to be honest...First off parking is available and first 2 hrs are validated which is a plus. When we walked in we stood there for over 5 minutes before a hostess greeted us. Then had to wait an additional 5-10 mins for a table when the entire restaurant was empty. They sat us in the most disgusting dirty booth where the seat still had stains and food on it and forgot our silverware. It's already starting off disappointing. Food wise everything was decent but I probably wouldn't try again unless it's the Sweet Potato sushi roll.Sweet Potato roll 10/10 (only good item I would order again)Dragon roll 5/10Chick'n fried mushroom 5/10 (barely crispy and mostly batter)1,000 Layer Crispy Potato 4/10 (wasn't crispy at all... more soft)Udon Noodles 4/10 (had this aftertaste of idk)Summer Roll 1/10 (it was straight mush and gross) Queso Fundido 6/10We were going to order more but our server said that it was a lot of food so she hinted for us to stop.

The design is stunning, and the location is perfect! The service was quick and excellent, and the food was delicious! I absolutely LOVED the dragon rolls and the Herb Your Enthusiasm drink! The Chick'n fried mushroom was tasty as well, though a bit salty for my taste. I can't wait to return for more dragon rolls and to try the sweet potato rolls and unagi eggplant!

Our vegan daughter from NYC was on a long layover at LAX so we gave her the choice of lunch spots. She had been to the New York, Chicago and Miami locations so wanted to try this one. It is a huge beautiful location right on the water at Marina del Rey. It's very modern with bright whites against fresh wood and lots of greenery. The staff was very friendly and sat us inside right next to the water. They have lots of outdoor seating, but it happened to be a cold day so we opted to be inside. But having the window seats right along the marina was perfect. The menu was fairly extensive with lots of options so my daughter selected several dishes to share. We got the Bang Bang Broccoli, Summer Rolls, 1,000 Layer Crispy Potatoes, and the Torched and Pressed. They were all delicious and we even ordered more broccoli.I'm not a vegan, but every time I eat with my daughter I'm amazed at how good vegan food is. I could eat it everyday, except I'd go broke because I'd have to eat out all the time since I don't know how to make it. This means I'll be back.

Love this place! The location is gorgeous. It's right on the water and you get a great view. My personal experience is that the service can be a little slow. The hostess seems to have a bit of an attitude sometimes. Been to this location twice and the Brentwood one another time. I've tried a couple of their appetizers and wouldn't really recommend them. The 1000 layer crispy potatoes were alright. It is great if you eat it right as it is served but it's not great when it cools down. I did not like the maitake mushrooms at all. Our server was very sweet though and didn't charge us for those. I really enjoyed the nigiri flight. My personal favorite was the ungai eggplant with truffle oil. It was a great portion and I totally could've had it as my entree. I also loved my burger. It had a black bean patty and I really enjoyed it with the mushrooms. I was really excited about the green goddess salad but didn't love it. I've had the udon as well and those were fantastic. I would highly recommend.

This is my second time trying PLANTA after enjoying them at their Chicago location a year ago.We went specifically for happy hour (16:00 - 18:00) and were able to get a few orders of bites and drinks in before it ended. Everything on HH was discounted about $1-2 so it's not huge savings, but every little bit counts. Some of the dishes we had were great while others were simply okay. We loved their mushroom tacos the most but found their "loaded nachos" to not be very loaded, and the avocado dip ended up being a ceviche which was fine but not great. We also ordered a sushi roll and their truffle mushroom udon, which was a favorite of mine from Chicago. Both were good but I was definitely surprised at how little udon we had for the $30 price point. Great flavors, but I feel it could've been a bit better for the price.Aside from that, PLANTA was still another good experience. The drinks were well made, the ambiance is stellar, and service was great.

I personally am not plant based but very much enjoyed coming here. The ambiance is chic with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating as well as enough space for a party of 8. The food was well seasoned and I personally liked the avocado lime tartar the most. It was so fresh. I would have liked the 1000 layer crispy potatoes if it were crispy but it still was well seasoned. The next runner up was the crispy rice and bang bang broccoli.I was disappointed in the service as they didn't check in much and we had to get their attention to order, fill waters, get the check, etc.

Food is really good. Restaurant is beautiful. You have the option to sit inside or outside. The restaurant validates parking for 2 hours which is great. My only pet peeve is when you pay, they set the tip percentage on the total of the check including tax. So whatever % you tip, you are tipping on the entirety of the check including tax. Planta, why am I tipping on the tax ? If this is a setting issue with your checkout machines, please fix it. If this is not a setting issue, it's not good practice to your customers. So for my meal, I selected 18% on their portable checkout machine, which is actually 20% tip on the subtotal, not including tax. See receipt photo.
