Since our favorite pizza place Gorilla Pies in Sherman Oaks closed their brick and mortal shop (such a shame, really) we've been looking for a new favorite closer to home. There are SEVERAL decent pizza places in the Silverlake/Los Feliz/Atwater areas but we want the best.I read that Pizzana was well reviewed and received a bib gourmand from the Michelin Guide. So, we made an early reservation to take advantage of their happy hour specials. We started with sparkling water($8) and the Tricolore salad which was very good with walnuts, cherry tomatoes and Parmesan. Then we ordered the Cacio E Pepe pizza and a pepperoni pizza for us three to share. The Cacio E Pepe pizza came first and was just great. It was peppery and cheesy and topped with a bit of cool parmigiano cream which was a tasty counterpoint to the hot pizza. Yes!Then the pepperoni pizza arrived. (Happy hour special $17)It was probably the best pepperoni pizza we'd ever had. The sauce was so beautifully flavorful and the pepperoni reminded us that THIS is what pepperoni should taste like. The crust was fantastic. Crispy, chewy & light with slightly charred flavor from the imported oven. Perfection. Great casual atmosphere and friendly service. Was it cheap? Nope. But we didn't care one bit.Good things like this are worth every cent and the happy hour specials are great. I think we've found our new favorite pizza place. We will be back again soon!Pizza Deliziosa!Maraviglioso!

I recently visited Pizzana for the first time on Valentine's Day, and while I had high hopes for a great gluten-free pizza experience, it fell a bit short. Upon entering, I was greeted by music that was overwhelmingly loud, which prompted me to ask for it to be turned down--a request that was accommodated. The service was prompt and consistent, which was a plus. I enjoyed the wine selection and found the arugula, spinach, fennel & pine nut salad with a light lemon dressing to be fresh and flavorful. However, the gluten-free margarita pizza topped with mushrooms was chewy and lacked the perfect texture. Unfortunately, I felt the meal was quite pricey for what we received. Our total bill came to $85 for a gluten-free pizza, a glass of wine, a salad, and a bottle of water, which felt steep. While Pizzana has its merits, it doesn't quite measure up to my favorite gluten-free pizza, which is at Settebello Pizzeria in Pasadena. They truly have mastered the art of gluten-free pizza, making it hard to recommend Pizzana as the best option.

Went on a whim, got a table really quickly because we arrived at 5:45pm on a Monday. Food came really fast! Would definitely recommend the fennel salad and the spinach pizza -- the parmigiano cream was to die for!

While I know that Pizzana has various locations in the city, this Silver Lake location is my first time trying any of their restaurants. When I've walked in, I've enjoyed the chic and dimly lit interior; I could see this being a great date spot or a place where you would want to catch up with a friend or a small group. During my two visits, I thought that the service was great; I felt like I had enough time to review the menu and get recommendations from the server without feeling rushed.I tried their weekday happy hour during my most recent visit, and I enjoyed the discounted margarita and pepperoni pizza offered on the menu. The pepperoni was top-notch, and I enjoyed the thin pizza crust.

Their pomodoro pasta was good but I found the pizza to be quite average in my opinion. We got the plain cheese as well as the prosciutto/arugula and both were bland.

First and foremost it is a bit of a drive if you're from San Gabriel Valley Oooooh but it is so worth it, if your looking for a gluten-free pizza Services pretty quick I don't have any issues with it other than it does take a while to get your pizza because their freshly made. You can't go wrong with Silver-lake the ambience is everywhere you look. I recommend ordering more than one pizza perfect for small groups!! Looking forward to eating here again!!! This time I'll order more than one pizza

This was a lovely, pizza & salad sort of meal. The only reasons why I can't give it a full rating:- the music was WAY too loud. For such an intimate setting, I feel the loud music is unnecessary- no valet parking. Street parking is hard to find in Silverlake - only one bathroom makes it challenging! The inside of the restaurant is small and intimate. A great date spot or place to hang out with some friends. Service was attentive and food came out relatively quick. This is what I ordered:- Caesar Salad with added chicken - I'm not usually a fan but I was drawn to this one because they make the croutons out of pizza dough. The pieces are a bit larger than usual, but I quite liked it. Chicken was well-seasoned with a hint of rosemary. A great appetizer!- Pepperoni pizza - if you're a fan of classic pepperoni pizza, you'll likely like this one too. Nice ratio of pepperoni to cheese/sauce, and the fresh dough makes this pizza a solid winner. If you don't like too many fancy toppings on your pizza and you want to stick to the classics, order this one.- Vodka pizza - I made the mistake of ordering a fancy pizza and didn't quite like this one. The toppings sounded appealing, and I've never had vodka pizza before, but it just didn't do it for me. Perhaps one that likes vodka sauce would like this more.- Panna cotta with pretzel bits - YES this was good! It was very rich, so enjoy it slowly with a single espresso. A great way to end a nice meal.- Chocolate olive cake - so so, just tasted like regular chocolate cake to me. Nothing spectacular. Will be back!

The restaurant is a small cozy place to have some great pizza and drinks. Getting to the restaurant was easy, but parking is street parking, so arrive a little early to ensure you find a parking spot. I would recommend parking in the neighborhood around the restaurant for easy parking spots. Sometimes the parking spots right in front are open so be sure to check those out as well. After getting seated, the server presented himself promptly and took our drink menus as we mulled over the food options. They have great pizzas, great quality, nice thin crust with lots of toppings. I think the pizza flavors were spot on. Not too spicy either. I would recommend the Funghi pizza if you like mushrooms. Also would recommend the Diavola pizza which was delicious. Total 3 pizzas, 1 app, 7 drinks equal $250 including tax and tip. Plan your finances accordingly! Parking: street, fairly easyFood: excellent, pizza and drinks, nothing fancy but also solid selectionAmbiance: small, cozy, good for date night or out with friends. Recommendation: would definitely come back again! Although I think party size limited to 4-6 would be easiest to seat.

Service was great! Was running late and called them, they agreed to push my reservation up 30 minutes. We parked in the residential area near a school, about a 10 minute walk to Pizzana. A+ service and ambience. I highly recommend calling in if you're running late to your reservation - I did read that the cancelation fee was $25 per person on Resy. Was expecting a bit more wow factor when it came to the food. It was delicious and the meal was obviously made of high quality ingredients, but it's not my favorite pizza I've had. I thought it was appropriately saucy, cheesy, and the pepperoni had a nice mild kick to it. The caesar salad was spicy af with huge chunks of cracked pepper that kept getting stuck in the back of my throat, but the lettuce was very fresh and came in HUGE chunks. Overall, a delicious meal for neopolitan pizza lovers!
