My best friend brought me here to celebrate my birthday for a bottomless jazz brunch. It was nothing either of us would've expected. We walked in, paid straight away, grabbed our 1st room temperature drink, and were escorted outside on the patio. The patio looked very dirty & unkempt. The table we were sat was right by a tree directly in the sun. When we asked if we could be seated elsewhere, they denied our request. and stated the tables are assigned per reservation. We were quite uncomfortable, but we made due. The brunch food options were decent, but the quality of the food was subpar. It did not taste good. The fried chicken looked questionable. I NEVER turn down fried chicken, so there's clearly a problem. It looked unappetizing.The mimosas were flowing, no complaints about that. Eventually my best friend & I switched seats at an empty table outside of the sun, that was empty for quite some time. Luckily the staff didn't move us or scold us for moving. Re: the jazz, there was a young saxophonist who would randomly accompany music already playing. He was not playing with a band just solo adlibbing to existing music. We weren't very impressed. The route to the restrooms passes through the kitchen, which was really unusual. The restrooms were not properly stocked or maintained.All in all, regrettably, I would not come back. It's too bad, I had hopes for this iconic spot.

The good: I've been to Pips quite a few times for dinner and I've always enjoyed myself. It's one of the places that if you're not sure where to go, you can go here for a nice chill evening. The awful: I went to Pips for brunch on my birthday, when making the reservation for 4 people, I had to pay $40 (10 per person), this is not necessarily unusual so I'm not really complaining about that, however 1 person couldn't make it. So when we checked in we paid $55 per person. We sat outside and the vibe was ok, however the food was cold. When we mentioned it to the guy who may/may not be the owner (he's been there every time I have), he said the food was cold because it's windy. Didn't offer to heat anything or be helpful in any way just walked away and left us with cold food. But we just tried to enjoy ourselves and celebrate my birthday. So as we were leaving i asked him I said I paid 40 when I made the reservation I didn't see the discount. He said that the brunch was $65, and he took 10 off so we paid 55, I said ok but what about the last 10, he said because I didn't call ahead of time and cancel for my friend so I lost that 10. I was stunned. They charged me, 10 for her even though the rest of us showed they charged me for her. I was livid so much so I waited over a week to post this.So Pips is great for dinner but skip brunch, it's most definitely NOT worth 65 for cold food, underwhelming service and a so so vibe. All in all, I was stunned at how bad my experience was.

First let me say, I will always support Live entertainment. I have supported Pips pre- covid,post- covid. What becomes mindstakingly to me - comes out in the form of this establishment. We are trying to enjoy a nice evening out yet the tip bucket with a man begging, adorned with X,mas lights? It looks desperate, tired and overreaching. Plus- I was a bit taken aback on my receipt that I was charged a entertainment fee, yet they don't even think enough of their customers to inform in advance. I dont like hidden fees on my check. While I want to support, they make it hard for customers who want to patronize. I feel like the hustle is on. It reminded me of a panhandler at the freeway exits begging.. its tacky. After paying entertainment fee, food & beverage , tax, tip and valet - It's alot ! Btw the waitress was also the bartender. Maybe that's a new trend? The Cadillac margarita way too sugary and citrusy so we had to return. Instead,we ordered Old fashions. They were OK yet Pips needs to get w/ the times. Old fashions are served w/ one large ice cube,which simply chills the drink. Not a bunch of ice which then dilutes the drink,ruining it. Idk- overall, our evening was decent however, the inflation and hidden service fees, coupled with the Christmas lights man begging +valet, cheapen the experience. Be progressive not regression

I'm baaaaaaack.....and that means three things....a great spot, great dj, and great custmer service. The CSA here (Customer Service All-Star) in my humble opinion is none other than server Pedro-who can run rings around most peeps half his age! No B.s. if it's crowded and you can't get to either the inside or outside bar, find Pedro! Ask for Pedro! He will move man and mountains to get your drink! He earns his tips! A good time once again at Pips

As always it was amazing. The food was delicious. The empanadas are amazing. The spinach salad is an old favorite and never disappoints. I tried a new dish the oxtail pasta dish and it was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant. To top it off there's live music.

Lunch in Los Angeles celebrating the hubby. Love the cute atmosphere and vibe of this space. We ate good food while listening to jazz. Our server was attentive and welcoming. It is buffet style, all the items were replenished promptly. The chicken empanadas were so yummy. You are served a cocktail at entry, I chose the sangria with absolutely no regrets.

Sunday Live Entertainment Brunch is relaxing, warm, welcoming and enjoyable. Both the atmosphere and food. It was the perfect ending to my Birthday celebration!! Highly recommended.

Food was good, the chicken breast was a little to blond for my liking. Everything else was above par! The cauliflower was outstanding, but the entertainment with Madam D was better then going to a concert! Plus the band was on point. The best R&B restaurant in L.A. ive been too!

As always Pip delivers. Great food and the jazz music was incredible.Lady is an amazing performer. Her voice is of angels.​
