Been driving past Petit Trois for a long while now and decided to finally try it out for my husband's bday. This swanky French restaurant was very classy and we loved the vibe. Took a minute to actually get us seated (even with a reso); we spent a good 20-25 mins seated at the bar while the staff waited for some lingering patrons to leave. The waitress was incredibly apologetic and the bartenders were kind while we ordered a drink during our wait. Once we got seated and ordered our food, it did not disappoint. We started with the Burgundy Escargots (comes with a baguette) - delish. For mains we got the Pistou Pasta (their version of a pesto sauce pasta), and the Big Mec. The burger was insane in a great way - had no idea it was gonna come served in a pool of their "special sauce". The pasta was sooo good; rich but fresh, and don't let the portion size fool you - it was so filling! Our waitress was great! She even brought out a delish tangerine sorbet on the house for my husband's bday. Valet is avail ($15 I think?), otherwise, find a meter.

I really don't understand the negative reviews here. Although the vibes may not be quite the same as the original location with the special charm and ambience, here, the service and food are still spectacular.I stopped by Friday night to have a solo dinner at the bar. The hostess was super kind and let me know I would be the first in line but I just had to wait for someone to leave, and she kept checking on the bar to see if anyone left.I eventually took an open seat and the bartender was very attentive, cleaning my area, asking if I needed anything, and making sure I was keeping well.I ordered an Old Fashion to start and this was a very solid version of it. Crisp, bold, and made perfectly. Now the star of the night - Steak aux poivres. The beautiful filet was cooked perfectly. Charred so well and cooked right to medium as requested. The sauce is creamy, peppery, and savory. The french fries were so crispy and just salty enough, they went great with both the mayo and dipping in the steak sauce.Petit Trois remains a solid spot for classic French food in LA

It's taken me 10 years to go here after first trying Ludo's food in the first generation of food trucks, and I'm glad it's as solid as it looks in the photos. I opted for the omelette with boursin which came with a salad. It was a good omelette, but for some reason I was enamored by the salad? It's just a simple butter lettuce salad, but I guess people ask for it so much Ludo shared the recipe on Instagram (it's found in February 2021). I only ended up eating half the omelette and taking the other half home because it's so rich. They must use like six eggs with it. It made me realize I really be less stingy with eggs when making my breakfasts at home.PARKING: Street parking and FREE on Sundays!

Since I live in the neighborhood I come here every few months. It just keeps getting better and better. The service is always hands down exceptional. Some of the best I've had the good fortune to experience. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. Don't be surprised if the table next to you chats you up. One of the things I like best is you can dress up or come in yoga pants and sneakers and it makes no difference. You should always start with a cocktail. The speciality cocktails are not to be missed. On a recent visit, I had the best G&T I've ever had and I've been drinking them for decades. The wine list is consistently epic. In addition to the beloved because Big Mec burger served with the best fries in town, some other favorites are the chicken liver mouse, steak tartar, the pasta pistou, French onion soup, the croque madame, the steak frites, the baguette, and most recently the fried chicken. The fried chicken is the absolute BEST I've ever tasted. With the option of adding creme fraiche and caviar, it's absolutely spectacular. This is a specialty item just for the month of December 2024, so act fast. We always have a great time here and are always happy to come back.

Petit Trois has been on my radar for a while now. I'm so glad to have finally made plans to try it for dinner. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated right away. My husband was eager to try his favorite -- steak au poivres. I was between the Branzino and Daube Provençal, but we always agree on starting with the escargots. I ultimately decided on the Branzino because I was curious about the preparation with curry butter and yogurt. The escargots and warm baguette were a delicious start. They were plump, tender and so, so good soaking in that garlic butter. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Filet Au Poivres accompanied by crispy, well-seasoned frites. He said it's the best version he's had so far. My Branzino was very good but I couldn't really taste the curry. I did however love the dill and medley of vegetables that covered the fish.Service was nice with our table cleared and utensils changed after each course. Our food was paced out perfectly.Valet parking is located at the back of the restaurant but we easily found street parking just around the corner.Overall very nice experience.

First time here celebrating my mom's birthday. I will say that the service was excellent and our waiter, Chris, was really friendly and wonderful. We started with the chicken liver mousse, addition I highly recommend and was incredibly tasty. Then we got the burger and the braised short ribs. Both dishes had incredible presentation, but I feel like they lacked a little bit of flavor. Maybe some extra salt? I'm not sure, but something was missing. They came with a side of fries and mashed potatoes. The mashed potato texture was delicious, and you can definitely taste the butter, but same feedback, I wish there was a little bit more salt. For dessert, we had chocolate soufflé with chocolate sauce and chocolate ice cream. Definitely worth the 15 minute wait. Overall, I might come back to celebrate as the atmosphere is perfect for a special night, but it's not my go to.

Dear [Restaurant Owner/Management],I hope this message finds you well. I would like to take a moment to commend the exceptional service provided by members of your team, while also bringing to your attention a significant issue that impacted my overall dining experience.Payam: Delivered outstanding service - 5 StarsKacey: Assisted with my reservation and went above and beyond to accommodate my request - 5 StarsShoushanah (Manager on Duty): Demonstrated excellent customer service and professionalism - 5 StarsHowever, I regret to inform you that the execution of my meal fell far below expectations:The Chef's Preparation of My Steak: 0 StarsI specifically requested that my steak be served sizzling hot. Unfortunately, it was not prepared as requested.Payam, in his dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction, promptly returned the dish to the kitchen. I explicitly asked for my steak to be reheated on the burner to maintain its proper texture and temperature.Instead, the chef returned with a plate that had clearly been microwaved--a completely unacceptable approach for a high-quality dining establishment. This level of disregard for a guest's request is deeply disappointing and does not align with the otherwise high standards demonstrated by the rest of the team. While Shoushanah kindly offered a complimentary dessert as an apology, it did not rectify the fact that I was unable to enjoy my meal as intended. As The Washington Post famously states: "If you don't get it, you don't get it." Unfortunately, it appears that your chef falls into this category.I sincerely hope that corrective action will be taken to address this issue, as it has left me hesitant to return. However, should improvements be made, I would love the opportunity to revisit with my fiancée and hopefully experience the 5-star dining experience that your establishment is capable of delivering.I appreciate your time and consideration in addressing this matter.
