I really cannot overemphasize how large the plates here are!!! I got the chile verde omelette which was the special of the day so it was a bit discounted. I couldn't even finish half of it! The chile verde was so good and spicy without overpowering the depth of flavors. Eggs perfectly done. The biscuit I ordered on the side was bigger than a baseball - I also only had a few bites and had to take it home. I kid you not, this is the only biscuit I have ever loved... every other biscuit I've ever had has been either too dry and crumbly or devoid of flavor. This one? Soft and delicious, almost bread-like!

I really love this place. It's good old fashioned American & Mexican diner food. No frills, but delicious! And amazing portion sizes. It's old school and I love that about this place. The waiters are always nice. And there's parking! I hope it stays around for a long time. My favorite thing are their chilaquiles.

Well known as the diner where Reservoir Dogs was filmed this place has been on my list to try for quite some time. I stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was very impressed. I love a great diner so have been wanting to stop here for a long time and can confirm the food and the service is worth the visit. The food quality is honestly great and I would go here for the biscuits alone. They are some of the largest, most fluffy, and delicious biscuits I've ever had in LA. They have a large parking lot with free parking and service was very fast and friendly. It is slightly pricier than some other diners, but not by much and still worth the cost. For my first time I ordered my favorite breakfast dish which is Eggs Benedict, and thought it was great. The hollandaise was homemade, the eggs were perfectly runny, and it just had some great flavors. As mentioned, I ordered a side Biscuit with gravy and the thing was absolutely huge. Not only was it giant, but it was also very fluffy and delicious and honestly was probably the best biscuit I have had this entire year.P&L's is a fantastic retro diner and a part of LA history. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast or lunch option, or any diner fan.

Pat and Lorraine's has been a staple in Los Angeles since the '70s and it's super easy to see why.We popped in while we were in LA because my husband is a Quentin Tarantino fan, and P&L's was the setting of the "tip argument" at the beginning of Reservoir Dogs. So we came with ulterior motives, but were blown away by the real life cafe! The vibes are old school with little cloth kitchen curtains, a rotating pie stand, and a counter you can shimmy up to and eat at when they're busy, like the old lunch hours you see in films. We had breakfast, as we got there early on our first day in Los Angeles. The food came out quick and was delicious. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a breakfast burrito - nothing crazy, but just super well done and in a really cool environment, if you're a film buff. Our server let us know which table the Reservoir Dogs scene took place at, and even sat us there. And don't worry, we DID tip! :-)

At first this place seemed a little pricier that some others brunch spots, but then the food came...and it made sense. The portion sizes are giant and generous. Everything tasted great. My dad and I got the California omelet (I added mushroom and onion to mine) and it was easily enough for two servings, possibly 3. The omelet was very tasty and they did NOT skimp on the fillings. My wife got the pancake sandwich which was also very good. I'm not a pancake person, but these could make me a believer. It's a cool little spot with a small parking lot and street parking. The place itself brings back nostalgic memories of older coffee shops and was cool. The service was very helpful and friendly as well. Have seen the place for years but never tried before. Now I'm so glad I did!

Biscuits and gravy is where it's at!! You should definitely get extra gravy on the side, just because I really love the gravy and to me there's never enough even though it's a huge amount of biscuits and gravy in general.I really like it with the sausage cuz it's cooked really well and it tastes phenomenal. Although you can choose to get it with no meat on top or you can get it with ham or bacon or sausage, and I've even gotten it with ground beef before which is really really good as well. If you get the cream of wheat it's really good (be prepared though it's gigantic, in the best way).I usually get it with brown sugar on the side and cream like half and half, and lots of butter!! Also they have a ton of Mexican dishes and everything is huge, even though it's expensive, they are big portions. And just so you're aware they do close early every single day.. usually I believe 2:30 or 3:00 p.m. But they open early as well so that's a plus if you're an early bird lolI've been going there since my daughter was in a car seat as an infant and she's in her twenties now... So that can tell you something in itself. The head cook or chef is really sweet and he's been there forever. If you go in make sure you tell them that Sarah sent you

Cute local spot that's been around forever. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but so is everything in LA. At least their portions are huge as opposed to some dinky avocado toast at some hyped up instagrammy brunch spot. But yeah, maybe think about sharing some of these dishes, or have plenty of leftovers. Charlie omelette was great. Biscuits were huge and tasty. We ordered a side gravy for them. Service was great, kept my coffee nice and hot and full. Will def come back to try some of their other Mexican dishes.

it rained that day and was pretty cold sitting outside even with the heat lamps, the rain was coming in from the side and bouncing off the empty turned over chairs...sooo, if it's raining and you are a big party, ask to sit away from the unwrapped side (main road side).Service was great! hUge portions, not really vegan optional kind of place, that's limited to sandwich with option of impossible burger patty. I suppose next visit a customized vegan burrito would be something to request. It's a diner meets mexican restaurant kind of ambiance.
