Came here for my Cousins birthday on a Friday night, it wasn't busy and we were quickly seated! we made reservations before for a party of 12 and it ended up being 10 of us! The food was so delicious I am personally not a spicy kind of girl, I ordered the chicken noodle and it was perfect ! Everyone ordered to share on the table we got a couple of curry's and they were spicy according to everyone at the table. This was a perfect spot to celebrate with friends and there was definitely a lot to choose from on the menu!

What a disappointment. I used to go here multiple times a week. Great food, staff and ambience. (Thai Elvis was amazing) I moved out of the neighborhood little over a year ago, but haven't found a place that hits the spot like Palms. I decided it's worth the drive to start going back to the place I know I love. I called to place my order and they have changed the system to where you can no longer call in a pick up order. This was a bummer since I preferred to pay cash and having to order ahead online meant that I had to use my card. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. When I asked about the online ordering, I was told by staff that there was new ownership and it seems a lot has changed with thatMy eggrolls had good flavor, but were mushy inside and the sweet and sour sauce was 90% water. The main reason I went was because of their incredible Tom Yum soup. Unfortunately that changed as well. While the flavor was good it was lacking spice, mostly broth and they got rid of the shimeji mushrooms and replaced them with cheap white mushrooms which were lacking in quantity too. The pad see ew still held up but overall I wish they would bring back the old menu we all loved.

Worst spot ever ! And didn't even have to taste the nasty smelling food as was greeted by the nasty owner who demanded my service animals certification and matching ID along with a bevy of rude questions about the reason. She was rude and clearly racist against people with disabilities. After showing her my ID and service animal certification she refused service. What a way to treat customers I can only imagine how they treat the food. STAY AWAY!!

Palms Thai falls short on several fronts, making it a place I wouldn't recommend. The ambiance is uninspired, just a large, cavernous hall crammed with tables but devoid of any charm or inviting atmosphere. The service was outright terrible. The staff were inattentive and dismissive, showing no interest in addressing concerns. When we pointed out that our $12 drink was 90% ice and barely 10% actual beverage, we were met with a dismissive, "That's how it is." This response was both unprofessional and unacceptable. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The red curry had decent flavor but needed to be thicker for a more satisfying texture. The fried rice was mediocre at best, and the chicken was disappointingly chewy.Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience with poor service and average food that doesn't justify the price. Hollywood has far better options, skip this one.

The food was very good and they brought it out hot and fast. It's a really big location so there's plenty of seats. I recommend the pad see ew with beef for sure.

I have been to Palms many times but didn't realize I never write them any review. Here is what I think.Vibe : Always cozy and relax.Nice and clean place.Service : Fast and always take good care of us every time we went.Food : Never once disappointed.Everything I ordered are always delicious! Now they added some chef recommended on the menu.I've had Crab Curry with vermicelli noodle which are great! And boy oh boy,Thai boat noodle that actually serve in a boat and a hotpot was outstanding! It could easily feed 2-3 people just for that item,By far in my opinion they have the best Boat noodle in LA.FYI They have full bar now.Who would resist a good food with some nice cocktails right? Palms always be my go to place and will remain my favorite Thai food in LA for a long time.

This place used to be really good when they was at the first location on Hollywood and Hobart. Their Thai coconut soup felt downgraded on ingredients they normally used paddy straw mushrooms. I felt like the day we came in which was new years eve they didn't have ingredients, just because the server said they sold out of morning glory. The only part of the dishes I got that tasted really good was the fried calamari dipping it in the honey sauce was good. We also had combination fried rice with shrimp only downfall to char taste to the rice and it was really mushy. The only downfall for that day was by the time the rice came out the soup as well as other dishes I had were cold. The place don't taste the same even the chili oil tasted off. This spot used to taste really good when they was located at Hollywood and Hobart when they had that live Elvis impersonated singing.

Everything changed here after the different owner took over. So sad. Ambiance also changed but overall their food is not what I remembered. The pad see ew is soggy, pad Thai is flavorless, and their pineapple fried rice was cold. The waiter told me that they have same chef but my palette disagrees.

My office always has our work lunches at this Thai food restaurant. It's really good, with a lot of really good options. If you're a fan of Thai food you're definitely going to enjoy this place. Even if you aren't, there's going to be something on the menu that you're going to enjoy. One big thing here is that they have a lot of really good vegetarian options. We have a lot of vegetarians in my office, and this is one of the main reasons we come to this place, there's something for everyone. So if you're on a vegetarian diet, you will be able to find something here that will be really good. I am not vegetarian and even I order some of the vegetarian options sometimes. There's also parking, which is nice. There's plenty of seating in the indoor dining area. The staff here is always friendly, and the services always good. The ambience isn't spectacular, but it certainly isn't bad. It does sometimes just feel like a large empty warehouse. But if there's good company, the food is good, it certainly fades into the background. Nothing to detract from the overall experience. I really like this place, I don't know that I come here that much on my own, but like I said we have a work lunches here all the time and everybody's a big fan.

Came to Palms with a group of friends before heading to a concert nearby. We made a dinner reservation but the restaurant is so big they had plenty of open tables and didn't seem to have any issue taking walk ins. Inside, they had long tables that can accommodate large parties. They also have a stage where it looks like people perform. Their menu is HUGE and has pretty much any Thai dish you can imagine. I ordered the pad se ew with pork and my husband got the Khao Soi with medium spice. Be warned, they take their spice levels seriously and it was borderline too spicy for him but he said it was just perfect and tasted great. My pad se ew was also very tasty and the portion was so big! I was bummed I wasn't going home after to pack up the leftovers. They also sell beer towers which my friends took advantage of.
