I was wandering Downtown Burbank and came upon this new addition to the dining scene. What a find. Frank and Carlos at the bar are exactly what I look for when enjoying a beverage or meal alone. They're friendly, introducing themselves and asking my name. They make outstanding cocktails. They'll carry a conversation or leave you with your thoughts. The food is also excellent here. I had the Chorizo Mussels and will be back to try other menu items.

Palma Ristorante is very attractive visually. However, it is also very expensive. For such prices one expects top notch service. Our server was pleasant but not particularly knowledgeable about the menu. We sat for a half hour before our orders were taken. The food was good, but not spectacular. Our party of four tried a variety of dishes. The lollipop lamb chops were my favorite and the rest of the table favored the octopus. Palma wants to be luxe, but a big price tag doesn't make it so. I wanted to love it, but the lackluster service, run of the mill dishes and $500 bill for a party of four chilled my ardor.

We visited Palma with a group of four. We ordered some appetizers, and everyone chose their own entrée. Since I only eat seafood, I ordered the Branzino from the menu, which I love. However, this Branzino was covered in chimichurri sauce, which was all olive oil. All I could taste was heavy olive oil. I wish the server had asked if I wanted the sauce on the side or on top.The appetizers I tried were okay: the calamari, the octopus with arugula, and the bread. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with comfortable seating and excellent service. Hopefully, they can improve the food quality a bit more, focusing on authenticity rather than sauce-based dishes.

Open bar, newly opened restaurant. The inside is nice and clean, huge selection of wine. Seafood heavy. The server went on and on about the menu. Recommended the yellowtail appetizer but get something else.. it ain't worth it. The music was too loud, power went out, they didn't accommodate anything and felt pretty rushed. Kept trying to take dishes away even when everything wasn't eaten. - Hibiscus Sour 4.3/5Strong cocktail, it was pretty good. Not too sweet. - Yellowtail Hamachi 3.6/5Very thin slices of yellowtail with a lot of olive oil on top. It tastes good but I definitely don't think it was worth the price. The slices were VERY thin. - Wild Mushroom W/ Fresh Truffle Pappardelle 4.1/5Long pieces of pappardelle, noodles tastes freshly made. It was a VERY creamy dish. Mushrooms were yummy. - Margarita Pizza 2.7/5Huge pieces of basil, tomato sauce was okay. It was a basic pizza. I'd skip the pizza. Valet parking for $15.

On a Friday night during LA restaurant week, I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant for my very fist time to celebrate my cousins birthday! This restaurant fit the bill to celebrate a very important birthday! In the heart of downtown Burbank, one street up on La Palma street you will find this restaurant. This restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. On the front patio, the restaurant features comfy bench seating with heaters- much needed on many nights in the winter in CA. Inside there are a collection of tables- some with couch seating. Also, if you want to catch the kitchen action there is bar seating. As for food, the restaurant features both meat and seafood dishes, As this was our first time visiting this restaurant that has only been open a short time- we decided to get a variety of food to truly taste the menu. We started out with some refreshments- I ordered the Hibiscus sour- which was a perfect drink to kick off my dinning experience as not too sweet! And then we ordered a host of food items to share among the five us. The following items were enjoyed at our table:1. The LA Restaurant week menu- the menu was about 90 dollars and included the following items: beet salad, steak and dessert. The beet salad was beautifully displayed. The salad included yellow beets perfectly sliced. We then shared the steak- we were not asked how we wanted it cooked but it came to the table perfectly cooked-- medium rare to medium. The steak was nice and tender with some better on top. To compliment the steak, it came with a couple of potatoes. We then finished this meal with a small dessert, in which they were kind to offer more at no charge as we were sharing among the five of us- much appreciated!2. We also ordered the Hamachi appetizer- the fish was very fresh- not fishy at all! Nicely sliced as well!3. As another appetizer we had the charcutier board- which came with ample cheeses, nuts, meats and more. A perfect item to share as a group.4. For dinner we all good a variety of items- seafood past, octopus, octopus salad, and a couple of other pasta dishes. Pasta is made freshly in house. The octopus was nice and tender- the octopus was perfectly cooked and sized for dinner.Beyond the food we had excellent service from start to finish. Our server , Brenda, did an excellent job to accommodate our diets, group and provided food at the right time. She even provided us additional items to accommodate our group sharing. We appreciate the great service. If you are looking for upscale dinning with good service, then this is the place to dine. Its a great addition to the Burbank dining scene, as downtown Burbank has limited fine dining. Cheers!

We're very excited for this new spot in Burbank! Last night, we visited for the soft open and, while they have some kinks to work out, it was a great experience. It's beautiful inside and has an oyster bar, outdoor seating with fire pits, and a beautifully decorated interior. Seating is a bit problematic and its a litte difficult to get in and out of couches and larger profile tables. Still, it's nice.Great selection of craft cocktails and a nice wine list. Excellent selection of spirits, too!Service from Brian wss grear, but it feels like the staff is stretched a little thin. Obviously it's early, but I hope they address it. The food was all delicious and overall it was beautiful to look at. Temps and pacing were a bit off, probably for the same reason mentioned above. This has the potential to be a gem in Burbank and something that's been seriously lacking for a long time. We look forward to returning and trying more of a great menu.

I had a great experience at Palma restaurant tonight. I went to celebrate my birthday. The service was on point. Server was very attentive and friendly. The food options were great, so many delicious options to choose from! They also have valet parking which is great. I will definitely be back again to try the steak!

Enjoyed my first visit to Palma Ristorante, a fine dining destination in the heart of Burbank! For drinks, I was recommended the Hibiscus Sour which I enjoyed. For $19, I thought it was good and appealing (forgot to take a picture). The bar staff was friendly and told us a little bit about the opening of this new restaurant in town. They all seemed excited about it.The decor is beautiful with the wine display in the middle, creating different spaces for dinner seating and bar area. The yellowtail hamachi with bermuda onions, yuzu ponzu and chives was absolutely delicious!! There are so many other items I would like to try on the menu. Will be back for sure! PS. The parking structure right next to the restaurant on Palm Ave is now open for convenience as well!

My friends and I dined at Palma Ristorante on their grand opening night. We were all very excited for this restaurant to open since we go to the gym across the street and patiently watched them for months while they set everything up.First impressions: the restaurant is beautiful! They really took their time to make the place look elegant and have that fine dining feel. Their menu is extensive - many options for seafood, pizza, pastas, and meats. I believe our server's name was Brenda and she did her best to take great care of us all night, despite how busy they were. Now for the food: we ordered a few cocktails which did take a while to arrive. That's okay, as we did expect some slow service opening night. I personally had the "Canary" which came in an adorable bird-shaped glass. It was tasty and I would for sure order it again. For our appetizers, we ordered the foccacia, calamari, hamachi crudo, and salmon crudo. The calamari and bread were great, but the hamachi fell a bit flat. It was pretty flavorless. And as for the salmon, what we received was not what was described on the menu so our server was gracious enough to remove it from the bill. For our entrees, we all shared the filet, oxtail pasta, mortadella pizza, and truffle fries. The entrees were the star of the show, with the pasta and filet taking center stage. For dessert, we were offered complimentary mini pastries. Honestly, they tasted as if they had been sitting in the fridge for a while so none of us really ate more than a bite each. All in all, I think Palma really has the potential to become a staple in Burbank. I think they just need some time to settle in and fine tune their menu. I will likely return in a few weeks or months once their settled, but I look forward to dining there again.
