PP Pop is my all-time favorite restaurant in Monterey Park! Their customer service is always top tier, and the waiters/waitresses work very effectively and quickly to ensure that each table's needs are tended to. If you go during the weekends, there's almost always a wait because of how good their food is. It's definitely less packed on the weekdays for sure. They have a paper menu where you can just check off how many and which item you want to order. They sometimes give it to you to fill out when you are waiting for your table so that they can enter in your order immediately when you are seated. I always order the Pork Potstickers and the Mala Spicy Beef Rice Noodle Soup. Their potstickers are a MUST TRY. They are fried to perfection with a nice crispy the outer layer, and inside the dumpling, there is a lot of soup and a savory pork ball. Their noodles are so smooth and goes very well with the numbing spicy broth! I love that they add in corn and bak choy (my two favorite veggies) in the noodle soup as well. They also have very good and refreshing drinks and they come in a HUGE cup! My favorite is the passion fruit iced tea!I would say it's a pretty small restaurant, but still feels spacious! Everyone that I've introduced his restaurant to has enjoyed it! Highly recommend!

Pretty solid Taiwanese food. Ordered the House Special Beef Noodle Soup, Fish Pickled Vegetable Rice Noodle Soup, and Beef Roll. The House Special Beef Noodle Soup was good but pretty standard. The beef pieces were tender and the noodles had a slight chew. The soup was good but wasn't spectacular. The Fish Pickled Vegetable Rice Noodle Soup was good and tasted almost homemade. I liked the pickled vegetables as it added a nice kick to the soup. The noodles and fish were decent. The Beef Rolls were good as well but I prefer the ones from Noodle St. The pancakes were perfectly fried so it had a nice and crispy exterior. The beef inside was pretty standard. Overall, a good place to come to if you are craving some Taiwanese food. The portions are quite large too so it's great for dining with the family.

I was a little skeptical about this restaurant but after coming here for over 5 times now and getting consistent service and quality food, I definitely see why this is a gem in the SGV. Their popcorn chicken and crispy squid are must order! The batter is light making it so crispy but not too oily/heavy. A lot of people order their signature beef noodle soup. I prefer their tomato beef more since it has a nice little tang flavor and tomato goes well with beef! The fujian stir fry vermicelli noodle is also surprisingly delicious and has a lot of "wok hay". Dont forget to order their honey lemon iced tea. Literally comes in a big jug thats equivalent to 2 large cups of boba tea! Parking: theres limited parking in front pf the restaurant and a shared parking lot at the back.

OMG The Beef Roll! Came here with friends so we had the pleasure of trying a bunch of different things. One thing to know is that the portion sizes are big! Definitely enough to share. DanDan Noodles were delicious. Not too spicy, but still had a little kick. Ginseng and duck soup was very flavorful and definitely something I would order again. There's also a certain novelty to it, so definitely worth exploring. The beef noodle soup was delicious. The beef was tender, and the noodles had a great consistency. Perfectly chewy. The popcorn chicken is a huge portion. Definitely an appetizer to share for the whole table.

Food: While there are numerous Taiwanese style dishes to choose from, I got the Beef noodle soup with rice noodles and the Shrimp and pork with leeks dumplings. The beef soup was large and plentiful. I love the good amount of beef offered in the bowl! The noodles were perfect in texture and the beef was slow cooked to perfection and packed with soy, umami flavor. Unfortunately the soup was a little underwhelming as it was clean and light but lacked a distinct beefy flavor. Definitely needed to dress it up with all the fixings to transform it from good to great. The steamed dumplings were straight fire! Succulent, juicy, and packed with meaty filling. I really wish I had room to get the other dishes including the xiaolongbao, the beef rolls, and others. Service: We were quickly seated and got our order in efficiently. Minimal interaction but that's okay. I love having the large jug of water on the table so we don't have to keep flagging down the waiters. Atmosphere: Dinner time was packed and we just made it before the evening rush. Love the sounds of noodle slurping and happy eating. Minimal decor and mostly the focus is on the food.

I came in for lunch with a group of 5 and were seated right away. This isn't a huge restaurant and have about 12 tables in total. We ordered the fried calamari, popcorn chicken, pan fried dumplings, beef roll to share and I got the beef noodle soup. Everything tasted pretty good. I liked the house beef noodle soup. The broth was very flavorful and noodles nice and chewey. Service was quick and food came out relatively fast. Parking lot and street parking.

I have taken PP Pop take out before, but this was my first time eating in the restaurant and let me tell you, I'm definitely gonna eat at the restaurant from now on. My friend and I wanted to meet for the holiday, so we were going to meet at Mr. Dragon Noodle House, but she told me this was their store so we came here to eat instead. It was definitely a little less crowded and more parking than their sister restaurant. OK, let's get down to the food. We order their fries, squid, popcorn chicken, House Special Xiao Long Bao, beef roll, pan fried pork bao, pork potstickers, and another noodle dish that I didn't get a chance to take pictures of. We also order their mango and passionfruit green tea. Let me tell you... Everything was delicious. All the baos were nice and juicy (be careful. There is a lot of juice inside and is pretty hot). There is not one thing that I didn't like from our order. Their service was great and the food came out at a timely order. If I'm closer to Monterey Park, I will definitely come back again. Make sure to put this place on your bookmark!!

This place gets busy so be sure to come on off hours. We put in a phone order 30min before closing and our order was done in 15min. Fried Calamari - 10/5 Their fried calamari is to die for! I'd honestly come here just for that. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy. Mild spice is pretty spicy as well. I also love how one order has so much!Spicy oil dumplings - 2/5 wasn't a fan. I've tried this order from many other places and am not a fan here at pp pop unfortunately. They used dumplings instead of wontons and the dumpling wrap was very thick. They also used ginger which I personally don't like ginger at all. If you like ginger this may be fine for you. They also didn't have as much flavor and not much peanut crumbs as others have used. Overall wouldn't order againSignature fried rice - 4/5 better than expected. It was pretty flavorful and went well with our other orders. The rice was a tad mushy but may be bc it was in a Togo boxGuo tie - 3/5 the bun was thick and chewy which wasn't what I'd expect but the filling was delicious and juicy. I think they used a little bit of ginger which I personally don't like

I consider myself a beef noodle soup connoisseur, so when I say this place is good, I mean THIS PLACE IS GOOD! The broth is not at all heavy and it's not spicy but it still has the doubanjiang (豆瓣醬)flavor. The beef is incredibly tender, dripping with the flavor from the soup, and not at all dry despite its thickness. The noodles are chewy and soak up the broth well and the portion is huge -- definitely enough for two meals. Ask for a (free!) box at the end if you need! This place is better AND cheaper than Corner Beef if you're looking for a beef noodle soup fix.The thickness of the beef roll makes the textural experience so delightful. The sauce is perfectly sweet and I really like how their meat is shredded (instead of a flat piece) so the ratio is better and it doesn't fall apart quite as easily. If you've had beef rolls before, you know how sometimes you can't bite apart the meat and it just comes sliding out and then everything is sad.Bring a group of friends and then you can try soo much more food!! Everything looks absolutely fire.

I came here with the idea that their popcorn chicken is delicious and very generous with their portions, which ended up being one of the only thing I ordered... and it definitely did not disappoint. We ordered 2 popcorn chickens between 4 people and we had to take some home. Parking is definitely a challenge on a weekend considering that this plaza is shared with a supermarket, back and front. We did have to wait about 15 minutes since this place was p-p-poppin and since this place was pretty small compared to the demand of this place. I saw tons of other tables ordered the beef rolls as well as their beef noodles. I hope to stop on by soon to try those since I was not hungry on my first visit. Worth another trip and journey in their parking lot to try this place again!
