It's been about a year since my last visit and I was glad to see that this cafe is just as busy! The line loops out onto the street, but does move fast. If you're looking to get one of their cute boxes, plan to order 6ish pastries. We only got sweet pastries this time, all the savories were sold out. While they do restock throughout the day, plan on some things being out of stock.

Arrived around 10:30 AM, and didn't have to wait long to order. We were able to find a table quickly after ordering as well! I got the banana créme matcha latte, and I was pleasantly surprised by the nice banana flavor because I'm not a huge banana fan. I will say I really couldn't taste the matcha flavor, and the flavor that was overpowering was vanilla bean for some reason. I do think it's a decent price for a matcha with créme! I really loved the three pastries we got: melon pan, salt and butter roll, and chocolate emoji. My favorite was the chocolate emoji because of the custard and choco filling! So yummy!Overall, I'd really recommend their pastries!

Super cute bakery located in the lobby of the Miyako Hotel! They always have some fresh selection available every day, and some days offer new treats you didn't see last time. The go-to for my personally is the Kobo Kuma, a sweet bun witha a cute bear face on top and creamy custard on the inside. They also offer some savory pasteries if you aren't in the mood of sweets. The service was really quick and easy as well, the line might be long depending on the time you go, but don't worry everything move really fast so you'll be chomping down on your sweet treat soon enough.

I was so excited to try this spot again after going to their Anaheim spot for the first time and loved it! We came around 10:30 am on a Saturday and there was a short line but we ordered quickly. Pretty small but cozy dine in area but we were able to find a table as it was located in a hotel lobby but it's easy to find and is accessible from the street. We got the salt and butter roll, chocolate emoji and matcha sunrise and I got an iced vanilla latte with banana cream. Everything was delicious! The salt and butter roll was my favorite, it was crispy and chewy and had the right amount of salt and butter flavoring. The chocolate emoji was cute, chewy and soft, and not too sweet. The matcha sunrise was crispy and soft and tasty but I didn't taste much of the matcha flavor. The vanilla latte could be sweeter but tasted good when the deliciously sweet and creamy banana cream melted in.

Been wanting to come here after loving the OG location in Anaheim! So cute and tucked inside a hotel but easy access to the street. We got there around 10:30AM on a Saturday and there was a short line which grew when we left. I got the banana creme matcha latte (only $6!!!) which is definitely one of my top spots for a banana matcha. Very rich and creamy for an amazing price! For the pastries, we got a salt and butter roll, chocolate emoji, and matcha sunrise which were all yummy! The salt and butter roll was definitely my favorite; so crispy and flavorful. The chocolate emoji was soft and not too sweet and the matcha sunrise was crispy and flaky, though I didn't taste much of the matcha flavor. Definitely would come back when I'm in the area.

I got the sea salt taro latte and it was delicious!! The sea salt cream top was too good, it balanced out the sweetness of the taro milk. It was perfectly sweetened, no customization needed. I also got the salt and butter roll and it was yummy, like an 8/10. It wasn't anything special but it was a solid pastry. It had like a cheese filling inside I think, whatever it was, it was yummy.

I found this place on tiktok not realizing it was connected to the hotel. I was excited to try the banana crème matcha and the buns (at 2pm they sold out so come early if u want!) There was a line out, the place is p popular! In terms of matcha, the matcha rose had sea salt on top which was unexpected but yum ( would taste better on a latte). The banana crème met my expectations - SO GOOD! Overall, will come back to try the banana crème on a latte, I think that would be a better combo.

The banana creme matcha latte tasted mostly like oat milk with a hint of banana pudding and matcha. I do feel like out of the few places I've tried, Okayama does the better job at liquifying the banana creme on top so that it's incorporated into the matcha without the matcha tasting too earthy. I wouldn't order this again unless I'm craving a very milky matcha but I'm curious about the pastries - they look super cute and it smelled great in there. Service was pretty quick and they were quite busy in there on a Sunday afternoon.

Great spot to grab a drink/bakery item with friends to catch up or so. Wouldn't recommend studying or doing work here as they are located inside a hotel, thus they are small. They have a bathroom, but you have to ask the worker to let you in. The banana matcha latte was good but a eh 3.5/5, simply because it just tasted like an oat milk to me and nothing else. I got whole milk but I believe the banana was the taste I was tasting. The bakery on the other than were absolutely delicious so I'd come back for that. I got the croque monsieur and curry bun.

WORTH MY 2 HOUR BUS TRIP! Highly recommended!Cafe is located inside of a hotel. I specifically took this long trip just for their famous Banana Creme Matcha Latte and OH MY GOODNESS IT IS ALL WORTH THE HYPE! It's very sweet and the matcha taste is very strong. The banana creme complimented the matcha perfectly. I wish the bus trip wasn't so long or I lived closer to Little Tokyo because I'd devour this latte almost every other day! It was worth purchasing!Workers are very accommodating and quick with service. Seating inside is limited during peak hours. When I went, straws had to be requested directly from a worker but I'm not sure if that changed.I'll be trying their baked goods the next time I have the golden opportunity to make a trip here :)
