If there's a server hall of fame, Lucy's in it. Between her genuinely friendly and caring above-and-beyond service and the quality of food, this location feels less like a chain restaurant and more like your favorite neighborhood diner. The pancakes: perfection. Always fluffy and light yet thick and substantial. Somehow you don't feel weighed down at all after eating them, unlike most other hot cakes Hash browns: crisped up nicely, a finishing touch you don't always get with starchy piles at other breakfast spots Cobb salad is great, but hot tip: hold the turkey and order some chicken fingers and chop them up. The first time we heard they had gumbo soup we were a little wary, but lo and behold, it's actually really good. Proof they can make just about anything here. They're really consistent, reliable, and open at all hours. That and the preservation of the classic midcentury architecture makes this a bonafide LA landmark. You can't ask for more in a diner.

Wow I can't believe Im putting this as my 2 stars After August 2024 it all went downhill to be honest the service was rude. As I went seated to eat I thought it is going to be a normal dinner BUT NO Our Entries came first Before the Appetizers I was shocked I really love this Norms in West Hollywood. I don't like having to write this review. For the most part I like Norms but I recently had a bad experience at the La Cienega and I can't seem to get any resolution.I was in this location on a particularly busy day. I sat alone at the counter. When I went to pay I handed my card to the cashier and completed my transaction on the card reading device. I hadn't paid attention to the ticket or the transaction. But something seemed off so I kept my receipt. Later I took a closer look and saw that I had also been charged for two omelets I didn't order, receive, or eat. I went back in to see if it could be straightened out and was told only a manager could do that. At this time there was no manager on duty only a shift leader. I was given the number for corporate and my number was taken down. For weeks I tried to call to talk to a manager but no one ever answered the phone. I can't make it into the store when the manager is there because I work the same hours. Nothing came of my number being left for the manager to call me. I tried to call corporate and when you press the number for customer service it just leads to a voicemail. I left a message. No one called or emailed me back. I went to the Norm's website and filled out the "contact us" form but got nothing in return there. At this point I have no idea how to resolve this. And I have paid for two breakfasts that I didn't eat.

It's been a few years being back at this location and really glad they are here to stay after many rumors of them being replaced. We came in last night around 8pm for dinner. I had the chicken tenders and cajun tots and both were really good last night. The chicken tenders were nice and hot, breading was good which made them very tasty. The cajun tots are really good and it's a nice alternative from french fries. Our server was Mark and he was friendly, nice and took care of us for the entire evening with our needs for a nice dinner.

The food was amazing! The service was cool. Our waitress wasn't very friendly but we honestly didn't care. We were hungry and tired and honestly, just ready to get to our hotel.There were quite a few people in here by the time we arrived about 2am. Surprising to see that many people but based on their hours, I guess the people show up when they open.Our food took a short time to come out but everything was piping hot. The pancakes were delicious! I could've just slept in between them, lol! They were so soft and pillowy.The vibe of this place is a late night diner. No real frills or thrills.Definitely a must try!

I am from Memphis and the only thing we have close to this is Waffle House. NORMS has set a new standard. I'm trying to see how we can get one down south. The service was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the food came out very fast (AND IT WAS HOT!) I love this place. The menu has a wide variety of things to pick from, from breakfast food, fish, steaks and more. I will definitely be back and highly recommend if you are looking for quick quality food.

I gave this review 1 star because I was not able to order chicken wings overnight. The advertisement said available all day. I was handed the late night menu and told I could only order what was on there. Super misleading. Also if I was making a late night menu common sense would be to add chicken wings on it. Drunk people love chicken wings.

Walked here for lunch. The restaurant wasn't full, so I was seated right away. Decided to order the T-Bone and asked for it to be medium rare. One thing I love about Norm's is that you really get your money's worth. My meal came with soup & salad. I did remember that dessert was also included, but I guess the decided to cut back on that. Anyways, since the steak was about 1/2" thick, it came out more on the medium side. I was seasoned well and my recollection with Norm's is that their steaks were pretty good for what you are paying for. I will definitely be coming back.

Welcome to Norms, also known as IHOP, Denny's, Shari's...the food looks like the menu description but is somehow surprisingly (or not) incredibly mediocre. To the point where you feel bad saying anything cuz they gave you so much of it. If you didn't come here with some kinda deal in hand I feel bad for you. I got two mediocre steaks and then some for the price of one meal just for voting today. Everything tastes and feels microwaved somehow even though I saw them cook it. Overworked wait staff who probably only deals with complaints. I'd give four stars for no smiles but I can tell it's been a day, and I did get enough food for the entire day plus more for my dogs. Would I recommend anything out of the bounty of steaks, eggs, hash browns, fruit, biscuits, gravy, and pancakes? Honestly no, not a one. But five stars anyway, cuz it's Norms.

You come here for the classic Los Angeles dinner experience and it's cute inside and outside. I've been coming to Norms since I was a baby but the location I always went to closed down a long time ago. This one is still standing and it's a classic. The chicken strips is all bread with some chicken in it and the popcorn shrimp is fine. Steak is good and I love me a baked potato. Our servers did come and check on us here and there so I had no complaints about that.
